Nokia Lumia |OT| Worth the Weight

The Lumia 920 has the Dolby Sound thingy right?

If so, can someone please check out how that sounds? (Possibly compared to sound on the 800).

What video formats are compatible with the 920? I thought avi would be fine but I tried putting a movie and got an error. It also asked me if I wanted to convert but it was so damn slow and it said it was going to convert it to avi (it was already avi).

Anyone notice that if they shake their 920 it feels like something is not quite secure inside? Not like a rattling or anything, but you can hear a component shaking? Is that the floating camera?

White Lumia 920 settled on, very glad I went with gloss white, didn't think i would like it, saw it in store and forgot all about ordering cyan.

Got the phone in my hand and the first thing I thought: "what the hell was all this weight bullshit on about?!?!?!"

The weight is about the last thing that someone would notice about the phone.

I don't know, but the recessed micro-USB socket is not something that feels sturdy and made to last...

I'm having an issue setting up visual voicemail with AT&T.

It used to prompt me to put in the voicemail password, but I didn't know it so I ignored setting it up. Now I am ready to set it up and it doesn't prompt me to enter the password!

Any idea how I can fix this?

The phone was out of stock at a few places near me. Just went a bit further out, and picked up the color I wanted (black).

The phone itself is crazy sexy. Still getting working out the new additions to Windows Phone 8.

I honestly don't use my phone for all that much, so not much to tinker around with. I use Whatsapp quite a bit, and I'm waiting for them to fix their app, but, other than that, no complaints with the phone so far.

Best looking phone ever.

Guys I finally put the phone in my pocket and stood up. Unfortunately it tore through my jeans and broke my foot when I tried to break the fall.

Shit. I'm getting a SIM invalid error.

I was getting that, tried to do the online activation and waited like 30 minutes. Instead I called the number, I followed the prompts. Then it told me to power off the device (I turned both my phones off) and wait 5 minutes. I turned the Lumia back on and it was good.

Just got one, (red). I love it. Showed the wife and shes getting one as well.

I never even preordered and got the charger for free. Its being sent within a week.

I will try and get some pictures as soon as I get my energy back from hauling it home :)

If your phone doesn't seem to be activated do these steps in this order:

1. Reboot phone if you haven't done so already

2. Check that mobile data is turned on and wifi turned off.

3. Update phone profile from settings menu

4. Call carrier and ask if they can do a carrier reset (you will need ESN # for this step which carrier support will have)

5. If you are porting in a number it will take at least 2 hours to complete. If your old number is from TMobile your are fucked. Their porting centre is overseas and horrendously bad

Disclaimer: I worked support for a Sprint MVNO

Try a soft reset.

If that doesn't work, I believe resetting the password on the (shitty) AT&T website will do it.

I was set on the yellow but that red has a serious Ferrari vibe, decisions decisions!

Hmmm

Can we get more images of the phone from those of you who have it?

I'm torn between white and black.

Well, you could always split the difference and go grey.

I know you're trying to get those pics close to the actual size of the phone, but could you quote them next time please.

I had to turn Airplane mode On and then Off before my 4G/LTE kicked in. Bizarre.
