Do they really wanna have Jason Terry sulking though? This seems like a bad move IMO. Let the veteran play himself out of that spot during the season...

Well, Cuban was interested in getting Kidd. Cuban also really wanted to get rid of Walker. He felt that by getting a veteran PG in Terry, he would have more of a shot at Kidd than with Walker's huge-ass contract. Plus, it would be good for Harris' development. I'm sure Terry's pissed, but I'd bet he doesn't expect to be in Dallas for very long...one way or another.

Just read this on bspn Insider

Kidd is willing to play for the Nuggest, Mav, Wolves, Lakers. A possible trade involving Kidd, Mourning for Sprewell and Cassell and another player.

Believe it or not, I think that'd be a GREAT trade for Minnesota. Yeah, Kidd's getting up in years, but Cassell and Spree are even older; Mourning would give them a legitimate post presence (at least defensively; besides KG they have no shot-blocking), though his health is an issue-- but if they somehow managed to keep Olowakandi (sp?) as a back-up, then I'd say go for it. If the deal includes Sczczczcszczcserbiak as well, I'd say no, because then the Wolves would be left with NO perimeter threats or second-option scorers (Kidd's outside shot is still sadly asstacular after over a decade in the league-- what an ungly knuckleball shot he has :p).

Kidd's push-it-up style would also help KG get some points in transition or semi-transition in early post-up situations on mismatches (he gets downcourt much quicker than most other 4's). He needs that sort of scoring to supplement his halfcourt game, because he's something of a 'tweener, and sometimes the matchups or the otehr team's defensive strategies leave him unable to score consistently excepy by offensive rebounding.

You might as well photoshop a hamburger in Shaq's left hand. You've had all preseason! Come on Laker fans...

The funny part is that Konex doesnt show the whole play where instead of getting the ball, Kobe stares down Ray Allen while another Sonic player grabs the ball and gets an easy layup :lol

Man I'm so pumped about the season. Sucks that the election is tonight, otherwise I'd be able to concentrate 100% on hoops.

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- A federal jury ordered NBA star Vince Carter to pay his imprisoned former agent, William "Tank" Black, nearly $4.7 million in lost commissions and damages. The panel said Tuesday that Carter breached his contract with Black's company, Professional Management Inc., when the Toronto Raptors guard dissolved the agreement in 2000. It awarded Black $4,675,640.45 in actual damages. The jury also found that Black violated his fiduciary duties to Carter and ordered the one-time sports agent to pay $800,000 to Carter. That was the total of two loans Carter made to Black.

"Obviously, we're unhappy with it," Carter's attorney, Jake Moore, said. "It's hard to understand. One thing I know about juries, figuring out the rationale behind decisions is sometimes very hard to do."

The decision brought a temporary end to the court case. Carter spent several days away from his NBA club as he fought Black, a federal prisoner.

:lol That was hilarious...

And with everyone on both sides laying bricks left and right, how is it that Big Ben has made three jump shots from 12 feet out? :lol Just some pitiful shooting tonight...

I have to say that I'm very bullish about my Peja for Dirk trade for one of my fantasy teams. :D Dirk's diggling tonight.

Ugh, Pistons back to their defensive ways :(

I was hoping the Rockets could steal this game before the Pistons got their stuff together lol

Wow, the Mavs commentating crew is horrible. I didn't have League Pass last year, but I don't remember hearing anything this bad 2 years ago.
Barnes is looking really good, but Peja and Bibby are sucking it up as expected. We should have traded for Tmac, who despite looking bad tonight, can at least look energetic.

:lol :lol I know. I can't tell if the Mavs are actually playing some D, or Sac is just sucking it up hardcore. I little bit of both I suspect.

Although, I really like Dampier so far. Great acquisition.
