That's actually a good idea. I heard they had some plans to keep ultimate fighter more interesting... maybe that's what they're looking to do? Have him try to earn his way into the company through the Ultimate Fighter and get a few months of CM Punk drawing viewers for the show.

Well that is really the only option for him or to hype up a special attraction style match as a one or two time only deal. No way he's going to win a fight against anybody. He won't be a draw like Brock or be able to hold his ground since Brock had his NCAA background and is a beast in everything.

So 3 options for Sting then
1. He comes out as a surprise member of Cena's team, which is stupid with no hype, but they've shown they aren't opposed to putting big stuff on Survivor Series like Rock a couple of years ago in his first match back.
2. HHH's team loses and Vince McMahon comes out to announce a new Authority figure. It's Sting.
3. HHH's team wins and HHH is gloating in the ring when the lights go out. Sting is shown in the rafters and points a baseball bat at the Authority. This builds to Sting vs HHH at Mania. The Cena team firing stip is forgotten.

It's amazing how they only had 5 spots organised for the whole match. Shows how smart they are that they can put on a damn good match just from feeling out the crowd and each other.
WWE really need to get the big guns in to record some commentary. Steve does an amazing job laying it all out, remembers a lot more than I would expect!

At least, as far as the main roster goes. I haven't watched a single Smackdown all year, I've stopped watching Raw and the PPV's, while solid wrestling wise, have been mostly uninteresting (with WM30 as the notable exception).

I'm 100% sure WWE will over think Sting's storyline just like they did with Bret/Vince.
They will add a bunch of bullshit because they're scared kids won't know who he is, so they have to create a reason for them to care.

All I can say is that the PPVs after Wrestlemania have all been solid to great. The Raws started to fall apart after the Raw after Summerslam.

If he is, then that's really smart. With the lack of a real pro wrestling competitor in North American the next best thing would be to use another Entertaiment medium for leverage. Back in the 90's a random midcarder could threaten to leave for WCW, or WWF and it would start a bidding war for their services.
I'm sure if Ziggler, or Ryback wrestled back in the 90's, and were told that they would be pushed down the card they would say "fuck you, give me a raise, and a bigger spot, or I'm taking my talents down to Atlanta".
Hell, The Godfather apparently was going to be paid quite a bit to join WCW and the nWo... Until Virgil told them he would do it for less.
