Now we've hit December, which system had the best library in 2015?

Well we can see from this topic that people's tastes have a ton to do with their opinion on which console had the better library (except for the console warriors in this thread who act like one system has "better" games, even though they are just fanboys for one brand over the other /rant).

Sometimes all it takes it's one game to push one library over games over the other. For PS4 that game seems to be Bloodborne by far. It's definitely the standout and seems to be an amazing game. Obviously if you aren't into that then I can see why the Xbox One with games like Halo 5, Tomb Raider RotR, and Ori would be more appealing.

One thing I have to call out though - earlier in this thread some essentially made the argument that X console has more exclusives and therefore X has the better library. That's such a fucking stupid argument that makes no sense. Quality > Quantity in every aspect when it comes to these things, especially people like me who have limited time to play video games now a days. Games that are the top of their genre matter, especially if they are multiplayer based because people are likely to put more time into them than anything.

Tough call for me.

I'm loving the combination of Halo 5 (seriously, beat MP game ever!!!) and Tomb Raider right now and Ori is probably going to round out my GOTY list but Bloodbourne might be my GOTY and I've yet to play Until Dawn or rocket league Cuz I refuse to get PS+.

I'm not picking a winner, the real winner is me.

I didn't purchase a single game for my WiiU this year with the exception of Mario Maker as an Xmas gift for my kid.

What? Lol...

I actually just got PSN+ for $35 off of slickdeals.net.

What was so good on PC this year? I sold mine after TW3 and haven't being following.

What? Lol...

What's the problem?

I don't want to pay a second subscription.

I haven't seen a deal yet in caanada and since most PS exclusives don't offer much in the way of multiplayer and I won't touch 95% of the PS+ games I don't bother. If I found it for 15$ I would get it...

If I was really dying to play Rocket league I'd rather just pick it up on my PC.

To the people saying it was a bad year for exclusives, isnt 5-6 games per system a good number exclusives? Dont think we had much more than that since ps2 days.

PS4 easily. Not too impressed with Wii Us games, Xbone had Halo 5 so its okay but PS4 just has wayy more games. Gears and Forza aren't good imo. I haven't played TR yet, waiting on the better version but it got good reviews. And then you have Ori so 2-3 games.

On the other side, PS4 had the best game this gen in Bloodborne, and a bunch of awesome PSN games like Rocket league, Titan Souls, Axiom Verge, Helldivers, Soma, etc as well as Until Dawn and some good Japanese games to add variety like Disgae, Dragon Quest, Tales of Zestria and so on. Not really close.

That makes sense.

Also, you will never find PS+ as cheap as $15, lol.

Did you actually read what you wrote though? You said people voting PC are "full of it" but then say PS4 "takes the cake" while going on to list 2 good games and a self-admitted not good one.

Surely you see why that's funny?

Obviously I read it. "Full of it" and "takes the cake" are just euphamisms, don't read too much into it.

Anyway, I just don't think quantity outweighs quality. PC exclusives I like included Undertale and Pillars of Eternity, but overall Bloodborne outweighs both of them considerably. Everything else that I enjoyed on PC can be had on PS4, so if I had to pick a single platform that has the best library, I'd say PS4.

Seeing as PS4 had Bloodborne and sleeping hit Until Dawn coming out this year it has to be Playstation. Xbox One had some really stellar titles also, Tomb Raider, Halo, Forza. But PS4 had just a little more quality imo.

I've had both system since May, but the only 2015 XB1 release I have bought is Gears. I have little interest in FM6, H5 or TR. The 2016 games look much more interesting. I have been picking up the 2013-12014 games at a discount too. I now have FM:H2, Ryse, FM5, SO and DR3.

On the PS4 I there has been more variety this year. I love Bloodborne (GOTG) and have bought 1886 & Until Dawn (not played yet). All three of these are new IPs. My family has also played Rocket League and Rogue Legacy to death all year. I still need to pick up NDC and Tearaway.

Xbox was great this year for me. Yet to justify a PS4 purchase, that is until Horizon comes out :)

Can't really comment on the Wii U situation.

Don't forget GOTY contender Mario Tennis on Wii U.

I haven't played Xenoblade X yet, but the only 2 games I enjoyed on Wii U have been Mario Maker and Splatoon. The other games are just meh.

I primarily game on PS4 and taking out remasters, The PS4 only really had 3-4 exclusives this year. I'm not a Souls fan so I never played Bloodborne.

I think Xbox had a slightly better lineup in 2015 and I don't even have one.

GOTY

That makes sense.

I misinterpreted your post.

I thought you got it for 35$ off (50-35=15) but you meant 35$ off slickdeals hehe.

I'd consider it at 35 but the lowest I've ever seen it here is 48.

ps4:

Until Dawn, Bloodborne, Everybody gone to the rapture, Rocket League, Tearaway Unfolded :D

Best PS4 2015 games

You dismiss multiplats too easy, specially considering Wii U gets very very few of them.

Yea...I stopped reading at this post to say I agree. (I saw the update the the OP)

The system that has the library I want to play has the best IMO.

So you have 3 systems that has exclusives....then 2 system that share multi platform games. One system that may or may not get a multi platform game.

I fail to understand how the Wii U has the best library by some. Best exclusive library....that sounds better and is more debatable.

But its like I said...the system that has the library I wanna play is the best IMO.

And yea....PC. Cant forget PC. To me....best overall library is a tie between PC, XBO PS4. If its exclusives only.....I think its a wash. Its only 2 exclusive for 2015 for each console I would probably be interested in playing or buying day 1.

Tie between PC and PS4 for me. PS4 might narrowly edge out the winner with Bloodborne though. I'm terrible and haven't gotten that far though, so I don't feel like a really competent judge.

I haven't bought a game for my Wii U all year, so that's definitely not the winner. XB1 seems like it had a good year too, but without owning one to judge games myself, I can't say much else.

Sony's Playstation 4 had the best exclusive game library in the year 2015, in my opinion. You may either agree or disagree.

For me, it's a toss between Wii U and PS4. Wii U had some good games, but Xenoblade is still a day away. I mostly played PS4, and I'd say it had a great library due to the multi-platform games in addition to Bloodborne.

I have to say PS4, solely based on exclusives and only because of Bloodborne. I've yet to play Rise of Tomb Raider and some of the WiiU games, but they also had good years.

Basically Bloodborne >>>>> any exclusive but if BB didn't count I'd say X1 and WiiU had more exclusive games that I liked vs PS4

Come to mind Splatoon, Steins Gate and Dragon Quest Heroes. Glad I have all consoles otherwise I would have some problems fiding enough games I like.

My vote would go to Vita or Wii U. Definitely not PS4.

I'm going with PS4 better multiplats (which not including them is silly) and just overall more games that I played. XB1 still had a solid year and the wiiu got mostly unused other than from time to time so even if I enjoyed the games I played which I did it can't make up for the other 11 months overall that it sat there.

Haven't started Xenoblade X yet, but barring it blowing me right away I'd have to give it to PS4, because Bloodborne was easily the best game to come out this year and it had a lot of other solid 'exclusives' (
Both actual exclusives and titles it shared with PS3/Vita
) besides.

Outside of Bloodborne though... I'd personally call it a fairly decent, but unspectacular year across the board.

I don't think I've ever read a thread so blatantly set up as console war. I'm going with PS4. I have yet to play Ori, Splatoon or XCX though I doubt any of them could change my mind(I have 229 hours in Disgaea 5 for instance).

I too am going with Wii U.
Splatoon, Fatal Frame 5, Mario Maker, Xenoblade X, a good year of Smash Bros and much more.

It's definitely more fun than I had with the PS4 (although it comes close enough).

Wii U is a very good console, it's just sad that people are blinded by its price and lack of power compared to Xbone and PS4.

Not impresive. A bunch of multiplataform titles and consolized games, some intresting games sure, but for a plataform that used to produce titles like HL², it just doesn't do it for me.

Of those games the most intresting actually run on my notebook, I want AAA PC development back.
