people you know doesn't equal the world. I have tried on every walmart drop , best buy and amazon, and every f'ing time scalpers steal it out of my shopping cart. I have given up and now will wait until sony gets its shit togeather and I can go into a fing store and buy it. Its not worth the stress. Wasted so many hours with walmarts stupid hourly drops. F them, f scalpers, f bots , f miners, f covid, f shortages, f nvidia, f sony etc..... (also waiting for a 3060ti stepup).
Will stick to pc /switch until stock is normal. And no having to deal with asshole scalpers and bots is not normal., Those assholes need to be arrested. (ok I am being hyperbolic and don't mean that, I really wanted to say something worse, but i don't mean that either, just angry, as my whole library of ps4 titles is worthless as my ps4 is broken and ps5 is not real).

So the first 5 months of a console which includes Christmas sold more than the first 5 of a console which doesn't include Christmas. Isn't that kind of expected?
Shouldn't we wait until we have a whole year for both for example?
It seems like a flawed comparison but a good metric to tell your investors.
Anyway, I'm sure PS5 will sell a lot. It's kind of weird with all the news about shortages of chips but good job to Sony. Let's see how MS strategy influences the next years because if everything stays the same, it's going to be a bloodbath

The timing of the current period does favour PS5, but there's nothing NPD can do about that. I'd still rather they did the comparison and give us the information than not communicate the information at all.
PS5 and Switch target a wide range of people, not just kids.

Not supply limited in many parts in Europe! I can assure you. You can buy online very easily both Xbox consoles so your though already has flaws! I see everyday people going into denial and making a ton of justifications for the Xbox but the matter of fact is, they MS aren't new in the gaming industry anymore they should by now, know how to run a gaming business and carved their own identity. They haven't!

Well, if we want to compare personal experiences here is mine: just today MediaMarkt in Spain announced the availability of XSX on their website. 10 minutes later there were all gone.
Case in point: extrapolating from personal experiences is not a valuable metric at all

The entire game is basically the hallway from FF13 where you go from one spot to another in a direct line with no challenge or anything worth exploring in between. The game is so braindead easy that it even fails as baby's first RPG. It isn't really even an RPG because your choices hardly matter when you can steamroll any battle. It's also ugly as fuck holy shit are some of these n64 assets? Hop is one of the worst characters of all time. I'm not sure he is a character? He purpose seems to be expositing things the player figured out hours ago. For a game this ugly it sure does run bad. The story is also shit. Imagine thinking a game worse than superman64 isn't that bad.

Yes the Switch sold more in March 2021, but the comparison was the first 5 months launch aligned for each system (March 2017 - July 2017 for Switch and November 2020 - March 2021 for PS5).

I have no idea why people are comparing the sales of the Switch to the PS5, both have very distinct target audience! One does not compete with the another and that's the beauty of having more options and diversity on the gaming industry. Nintendo and Sony carved their audience and the sales are not indicative of who's "winning", both are selling very well. if anything those who won are people who own them.

Don't really care about the story either way. Were you expecting Shakespeare when playing Pokemon: Sword?

You could talk about the amazing music, the attractive art style and designs. I had great joy being in that world and playing my first Pokemon game since Red but you can enjoy crying and exaggerating how much it sucks, I guess that can be fun too.
