My faith in the system is basically non-existent at this point. Should I expect there to be any consequences or does someone want to break out the "nothing matters anymore" gif?

Getting a republican controlled congress to do anything about this? I mean, I'mm not getting my hopes up.

This whole Russia thing is literally the biggest news story in the world right now, and you're telling me not a single person asked you about it?

So established timeline here:

DTJR meets with Russian lawyer

Trump cranks up rhetoric on her e-mails

Trump meets with russians to schedule Miss Universe in Moscow

All in one month period....hell, all in a couple of weeks.

Am I right on this?

Or was the picture well before the meeting with DTJR?

The Miss Universe pageant happened in 2013. It's just the same people who were involved in setting that up were also involved in setting up this meeting.

I can't watch 5 minutes of Ted Cruz. Please summarize.

"Washington is obsessed right now, it is the Democratic talking point du jour,”. “But when I go back to Texas, nobody asks about Russia. You know, I’ve held town halls all across the state of Texas, you know how many questions I’ve got on Russia? Zero.”

Remember when no one cared about Bill Clinton's infidelities because Congress wanted to focus on giving people jobs and health care?

When did Trump publicly ask Russia to hack?
June 26th 2016

(CNN) Then candidate Donald Trump was "joking" when he publicly asked Russia to hack Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Monday.

Trump, amid questions about what Clinton did with emails she deemed personal on her private server, called on Russia, China and other hackers to turn over the emails if they have them.

"Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing," he said in July 2016.

I can't listen to 4 minutes of Ted Cruz. All I heard was him saying Texans don't care about Russia for a minute and a half.

Does he actually come to his senses?

I couldn't get through it all either, but after that he goes on for a while about "American people should not be rooting for the President to fail". I can only assume he forgot to say "white" or "Republican".

Then he started talking about how Putin and the Russians are scared of Trump, and I couldn't listen any more.

1. No one is talking about the good things Trump is doing, like his speech in Poland.

2. Obama was the one nice to russia

3. Obama's policy was terrible

4. No one cares about this russia stuff

5. We all need to come to god

2. I'm Complict

3. I'm Complict

4. I'm Complict

5. I'm Complict.

These emails are so comically incriminating that the FAKE NEWS angle might have worked if it hadn't been released by Don Jr himself.

The fact that this didn't instantly kill his campaign still infuriates and baffles me to this day. Like, how is this fucking idiot still President?

Because our rational dislike for this man seems outmatched by the insane irrational dislike for all things Clinton.

I'm still trying to understand why Trump Jr., like, tweeted the exchange out, exactly...?

Trump Sr. escaped controversy by always doubling down and never apologizing. So maybe this is Trump Jr.'s way of trying to copy that strategy? It also maybe gives the base something to grasp onto, cause how bad could the emails be if he willing released them?

Guys, slow down on this pic. There's serious doubt as to whether this is the lawyer or Trump's Russian handler during that visit, Yulia Alferova.

Man, this shit just gets weirder and weirder:

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/05/donald-trump-russia-moscow-miss-universe-223173

Trump also attended a business lunch in the city, according to social media posts by Yulia Alferova, a wealthy young Muscovite who belongs to local civic and business organizations — and who earned a brief measure of fame last year after she posted pictures online of her cat eating caviar.

”I just got back from Russia-learned lots & lots," Trump tweeted upon his return to the U.S. ”Moscow is a very interesting and amazing place! U.S. MUST BE VERY SMART AND VERY STRATEGIC."

He thanked the Agalarovs specifically: ”I had a great weekend with you and your family ... TRUMP TOWER-MOSCOW is next."

There is no evidence that such talk led anywhere, however — perhaps because Trump soon turned his attention to his run for the White House.

The whole article should be read (Dated May 2016). Donald was all-in on Russia. All the way back to 2013.
