I love the prequels but I’ve always felt a disconnect between Anakin and Vader. Hopefully he gets enough screen time as it could really add a lot to the films.

Super hyped for this, I love Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan, and it should fill in so many pieces. I’m actually looking forward to Hayden reprising his role as Vader.

Looks pretty bad despite McGregor's involvement. I just don't think every single thing has to be explained or explored in Star Wars. Kenobi left Luke with his family on Tatooine and lived as a hermit to hide from the empire. That's it. You don't need a show to depict that. Anything they'll do in this show is gonna be a reach just to squeeze out a bit more Star Wars. Just give it a rest.

I'll still watch because McGregor as Obi Wan is one of my favorite characters in the franchise and IMO the trailers look pretty good.
But yeah it definitely feels unnecessary. Hopefully they just focus on telling a solid story with Obi Wan and don't make the same mistakes they did with Solo trying to give some origin to everything iconic about the character.

I want to tell you all about how the show got getter around the 1/2 way mark. But you clearly referred to Bobba Fett the character. And I would be completely lying if I said his character got better. It was more like the show got better cause Mando and BY and Luke showed up. So I have to agree with you, even though I am still excited for Obi and Vader.After seeing what they did to Boba Fett I ain't optimistic for Abi-Wan and Darth Vader series...

I'm pretty damn deflated after Boba Fett. I found Mandalorian to be mediocre as well, so I'm sort of hanging by a thread with these Star Wars shows.
I'm slightly optimistic here because this might be their strongest lead actor in one of these shows so far. Maybe it will help.

Don't really care for how that female character cackles like a chicken at the end....."YOU CANT ESCAPE HIM!!!!!!!" Other than that, it was a good trailer. 6 episodes though? The premiere day will have 2 already so they're going to have to cover alot in 4 episodes.

mando was good, but boba fett was trash. (I still cringe at the rich kids and their power ranger coloured vespas)

Meh I think some of it looks cheap especially the scene where it shows Obi-Wan fighting in a hallway or something.
That being said I actually am looking forward to this. It should be a lot of fun and I am curious if it's going to be a continuation in some regards to Jedi Fallen Order 2.
I still think a Cal Keets cameo is very possible I would make a lot of sense.

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni just didn't put their heart and soul into The Book of Boba Fett and it shows. Every time Boba was on screen there was sloppy writing, bad pacing, mediocre action, and bad direction(thanks Robert Rodriguez for continuously fooling people into hiring you for cheap).
It sounds like the people involved with Obi-Wan are more high spirited about this show, so I guess we will see how it ends up. Hopefully the creative talent isn't all being put onto Mandalorian and post-clone wars cartoon content.

At least Obi-Wan is an established character in the Star Wars universe, so the story can at least cling onto that. Boba Fett had, what, 2 minutes of screen time? The weird obsession with Boba Fett needed to die 40 years ago. A side character who fell into a sand asshole and died. The end.

Why do the inquisitors look like a Zoolander runway with a nazi aesthetic. Also, its has been confirmed there are scenes where
Obi wan space calls Anakin during an important meeting with Palpatine. He also sends a droid filled with sand to Sith conference room 66. Someone quips 'what a cheeky little Jedi he is'
