Oblivion Remastered |OT| Kvatching up with an old hero

Then don't play RDR 2 is my tip to you :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Same for me. I prefer to walk around, makes it more comfy and allows me to react faster to enemies.
same but I also usually love making my character pretty fast, and I think you can actually outpace the early horses pretty easily

With 70 speed and light armor I'm much faster the priory horse you get early on

Edit: not to mention I can level both athletics and acrobatics while traversing on foot

Here it is happening again, and as you can see by the stars, it's night time. Anyway, maybe they'll fix it at some point.

Same thing, night time too. (Xbox)

Doing a new character since the previous one kinda sucked. First cave I go into I find a 15% reflect spell amulet. Seeing mages kill themselves with their own spells is fun. :goog_relieved:

some basic modifiers can be pretty damn good in this game

the first magic helm I found was a deer skin helmet with "detect life on self"

I figured it would be worthless, but this perk is surprisingly great. I think I only used it in the past to see invisible enemies, but with the helm it is always activated and it lets you see enemies through walls. for a stealth build, this is pretty damn amazing as you can fire off an arrow right as enemies are making their way around corners.

didn't realize detect life works through walls, looks like it has a 25 ft radius that penetrates walls

Is this true that Daggers give an 8x damage bonus while sneaking? I have a dagger from the dark brotherhood but never really investigated into this.

Don't know about the exact multipler but yes, daggers have a bonus on sneak attacks.

Thats good news. Makes me wanna try them out, honestly. I've played a sneak character in Skyrim and i could get close to the enemy without being noticed and get a nice sneak attack bonus.
Also i've come across some tips and tricks and they said don't hunt for uniques at the beginning as the items scale up with your level you get more out of it when you obtain them at a later point in the game.
It's also good to understand the lockpicking mini game, when you tab up the tumbler there is 3 different speeds that it can go up at, fast, medium and slow. While you can lock it at any speed its better to use the slow animation to lock it in place.

the 8x bonus is new to the remaster. another welcome balancing change. all weapons give a bonus if you attack while hidden, including bows, but the dagger was increased to 8x. previously there wasn't a reason to really use it over a short sword, besides the fact that it could apply poisons/enchantments quickly given how quick you can swing it

yes, many unique items scale with your level at the time you get the item. typically best avoiding getting uniques until later if you plan on using them end game. there is no method to increase the weapon level once you obtain it

How's performance been on PS5 Pro? I have the base, but been thinking of upgrading for this and some other games. Would play mostly in performance mode.

Couldn't you do like 30x sneak damage in Skyrim? Is that possible in Oblivion?
Check the perks of the sneak skill. Last perk is your sneak attacks ignoring enemy armor which sounds like an amazing boost to their damage.

I stumbled upon Umbra by chance, lol. It was totally unexpected, as I didn't know her existence back in 2006 so I never got the set

Unfortunately for her...
