i thought we just wanted him to feud with him because he's the real american hero of the WWE, it only makes sense.
Rusev shouldn't lose to anyone cleanly in awhile. While it's the cheap "omg dirty foreigner" heat, he actually gets a reaction out of people.
Because a McMahon/HHH/Russo doesn't have their hands on it.
Cena's in the losers bracket match. Vince probably had another fucking panic attack that Cena looked weak after losing to Ambrose in a Russo match.

Goddamn, the second half of Night 2 of BOLA was fucking awwwwwwwwesome. Three seriously great tournament matches in Hero vs Sydal, Cole vs Sabre Jr & ACH vs Omega and a fantastic tag main event with the Bucks vs Daniels & Kaz. Fuck the naysayers, fat-yet-surprisingly-agile Hero who just destroys people with his size and strength is totally awesome. Also, Zack Sabre Jr. and Adam Cole are both freakishly good. I'm always impressed by Zack's fluidity, he makes everything look easy. Have some gifs, friends;

I'd love to see Orton / Lesnar 2, but there is nothing surprising about Cena being kept in the title picture against Brock.
Would I prefer him face someone he can have a great match against like Cesaro or Rusev? Yeah absolutely, but that's not going to happen unfortunately. Hell, if I took over booking right now, I'd probably have Dolph talk his way into a match with Brock.
He could easily withstand the squash without being made to look weak (certainly after the Summeslam match where Brock beat Cena) and I'd rather people were made to look weak to someone absolutely credible who won't be a booking concern for too much longer, rather than someone who is going nowhere any time soon.
Protecting his image, his prestige, the title's prestige, and keeping his body in fighting shape.

I find Adam Cole to be a lot more charismatic and exciting in PWG than in ROH. He feels like a light/toned down version in ROH.
