Do people not remember what happened during the first exodus? They tried to move to other already established sites, but were told to either leave or integrate into the culture of the forum. Even progressive places like Waypoint and GiantBomb saw them as too toxic when they tried to impose the old Gaf rules onto them (I remember someone going nuts over there not being a banned games list, but I forget where).
Gaf would be the equivalent of one of those in the event Era does implode and bring about another exodus. People may kick and scream that the TOS isn't to their liking or that they're surrounded by "bigots" that aren't getting banned, but they won't be able to do anything about it on a moderation level and are probably more likely to get banned than those they accuse of being bigots. I can't imagine the probability of them sticking around would be high unless they carve out their own little community thread and never venture outside of it.
It's more there will be an attempt at another offshoot, which I really can't imagine being half as successful unless the implosion doesn't happen until like 10 years from now.
