You know what I hate? People who think they are good at basketball but really aren't and get jealous when new people show up and take the spotlight from them. I go to this new court today with a friend of mine that we heard about. We win from the moment we get on the court and don't lose until 7 games later (about 2 hours). I'm doin' my thing or w/e and this 6'6 motherfucker who is jealous b/c he's not getting attention decides to talk shit to me after I've been on the court for 2 hrs straight playing. Naturally I'm gassed legs gone etc. Just talkin' shit. Now I'm about 5'9 w/ a 6'6 dude on me who the first time we played got ran off the court. He's like "pass him the ball(me), everybody else does it anyway you should too".

This type of talk continues for the game until I finally tell him "you know, to be 6'6 you really are a scrub. Is your ego that big that when new people show up and play you can't take it? Or is it because a 5'9 guard is taking your spotlight?" Give some bs saying he was injured and that's why he was sitting out. And I tell him I don't give a damn, that's your problem not mine you bum. I hate people like this. After this point I just be quiet b/c I'm really in the mood to slap the fuck out of him and this is a new place..and yeah.

ANYWAY after I cool down and collect myself here in about 30 minutes or w/e...does any of my opponents want to play (raptors/heat/pistons/lakers).

Yeah, it's all about court rep..the dude probably felt he was owed something cause everyone knows him and how he plays...happens all the time. For me it used to be more or less, oh you're a big man, get rebounds, block a shot or two and play D and we'll score...little did they know that i play more of a perimeter type game and i can handle the ball and set people up and have a high basketball Iq...dumb fucks.

i played bball yesterday just 2 on 2 with me and my buddy against this guy from work and his bro. we won but i was irritated because i was covering this dudes bro who is probably 5'8 or so and i'm about 6'4 and he was basically trying to take my inside and i was altering all his shots and he just kept fucking whining. i'm not great at bball but come on i have a lot of height on him.
then the most annoying thing is he drives into me, tries to draw contact, misses the shot badly and then calls a foul. come on dude this isn't the NBA don't play bitch ball. sadly for him i just wore him out on the inside. in a 2 on 2 game if you have that much height and just get deep position there isn't anything he can do about it.
i wish more people played at that court.... it has nets and a few courts, but no one is ever there. the only court near me with people is one of those 8 foot rims that all the And-One ballers play so they can do their windmill dunks and show off, etc. i just want to play fundamental basketball the way that kurt rambis taught!
