The worst thing you can do... Is give him room to breathe....

What's up with intense Detroit vehemence? Detroit overrated? Are we in the fucking twilight zone? The second the league as a whole gives Detroit respect I will eat my hat and every other piece of clothing I am wearing.

I expected the Pacers to play well tonight, this is the end of a legend. But the Pacers of all teams can't shoot 57% forever.

Big Ben with the big block. :( Larry Brown is such a fucking champ man. Calling a 20 so Reggie can enjoy his ovation. Man, even I'm starting to tear up right now. Reggie "Knick Killer" Miller...the end of an era, man. Props to the guy.

PEACE.

I just wanna say I haven't been a true NBA fan for a while, but I watched this game for the old era of the NBA ... Miller is a class act and one of the greatest players of all time. There was never any bitching from him, he stuck with one team in the age of moaning and complaining about contracts. In an age of thugs, bling bling, etc ... Miller is truly the last of the great NBA era.

Reggie's gone fishin'!

I respect the guy, but he was a whiner on the court. The best actor that ever played. And I said Detroit in 6 from the beginning :D

I will miss Reggie so much. He has been a freakin ironman. I can't think of another NBA player that did more such limited athletic skills.
The Knick memories are with me forever.

I just wish SLAM mag would freakin give him his love.

Yep, Reggie is the last remnants of the NBA Golden Era from the mid 80-90s. There's no one else left I don't think, especially a starter.

I'm happy for Reggie that he left on a positive note. He had a great second half season considering his age and he's stayed with the same team his entire career. He didn't go chasing championship bandwagons like a lot of other veterans or demand crazy overpriced contracts. I bet Karl Malone is feeling a little bitter right now that his retirement didn't receive as much adulation. Serves him right.

Is there anyone else left from the Golden Era?

Larry Bird.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch Reggie's final game, since I have a big exam tomorrow morning, but I'd imagine they're going to show highlights on Sportscenter later.

Spurs have no killer instinct. It must drive Pop crazy.

P.S. Magic had zero atheleticism. I am not even sure he could dunk the ball, which is sad for a guy who was 6'10.

Gary Payton is the only one I can think of.

Hold on lemme looks in my Beckett card guide to see what rookies back in the day arte still playing.

Lets see, the oldest ones left according to the rookie cards by Beckett ...

- Payton
- Divac (??? he still around)
- Mutombo

That's the only three I see before 92-93 when Shaq, Laetneer, and Morning were all draft 1-3 and on the same team now. Spreewell and Gugliota from that group too, so before 1992's draft there's only 3 players left in the league. That's pretty crazy. That's around as a kid when I started collecting cards, and think .. almost all the players I used to collect are practically gone.

Magic Johnson? That's bullshit, go get the Lakers Dynasty set on DVD and educate yourself.

I was exaggerating, but the guy was not very athletic.

Still the greatest player of all time, but he didn't get that way from being able to jump the highest or being the fastest guy on the court.

Edit:

I can't believe how much money I wasted on basketball cards. Remember how fast the prices fell? :(

Timothy Duncan, WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH YOU? Oh well, the team is winning. I don't know how, but they are.

And as Charles said on tuesday, Isiah is building a championship team... in SA. :lol

I never once said Detroit was overrated. I think they'll beat the Heat in 6 or less. But I fucking hate them. I hate all their thug players and their thug fans. I hate Tayshaun and his saturn-sized head. I hate Larry Brown's flip-flopping crybaby act. I hate Hamilton because he thinks he's in the NFL.
I just flat-out hate these goddamn Pistons.

I love the guy....but he's a fucking crybaby, no way around it. As far as one of the greatest...top 50 is as best as he'll do. Not like that's bad or anything....but as far as "greatest of all time" i think of Magic, Jordan, Bird, etc. Meaning no disrespect, Reggie was never in that class.

Fucking courtside seat fans laughing when Ginobli went down, pointing at the ground, and telling him to 'get down, "Bitch!"' [paraphrased]

Get some class, motherfuckers.

Duncan looks fine, but Seattle fans are a fucking joke.

WTF is up with NBA fans this year? They are reaching new levels of thuggery.

It's funny how the Spurs are playing like complete shit and they're still in it.

And I'd rather have our half-ass fans here in Houston than these cunts in Seattle cheering Duncan's injury, and booing when he gets up.

Amazing game. Even though Seattle has pulled off some bullshit and their fans disgraced themselves I have to say the Sonics have showed a lot of guts tonight.

Parker finally coming up big in pressure situations.

:lol yeah i am really, really surprised the sonics are playing this good. after the heat/wiz, i thought for sure this would be the second easiest series.

:lol :lol @ tolbert..."is there any foul by Fortson that isn't hard?"
