what the FUCK. Fuck you Crawford, shitty fucking call on Sheed.

Watch the replay Sheed had actually GRABBED Shaq's leading arm and was holding it.

...can Shaq hit some more FT's?

OMG Shaq with all the FT's....

Man Foul trouble all OVER the place in this game... both teams have key people in foul trouble....

Sheed with the stupid technical. He's been glaring and jawing at the ref much of the 2nd half so that one's not really surprising.

Why the hell did Billups foul him? Dumb, dumb, dumb. And NOW a T? Man Detroit is falling apart.

More than enough time left in this game for anything to happen though.... don't foul out now that you are back in Wade!

Wade with the SWEET J...

I didn't see that, just saw Shaq give Sheed a massive shove. My bad.

No prob... but I agree.. ref's have been blind to alot of physical/fouling on BOTH sides...

Eddie Jones with 5 fouls... LOTS of time left...

He definitely wasn't THAT much of an ass.

As someone who remembers him as a freshman at Georgetown, I can attest that he IS and WAS that much of an ass. I, like Darien, only tolerated him as a player for the Charlotte Hornets. After that, all bets were off.

Detroit has a terrible offense. They threw this game away.

Larry made a mistake... he tried to go full defense at about what 8 min left in the game... and it backfired big time....

Commentators are right... the rest of the series is every other day... gonna be interesting to see how Shaq holds up.

What really stood out to me this game was how involved Shaq was.

He really stepped up tonight and that was the difference IMO

Yeah. this series is over. the pistons can't win in miami in game 7, which would mean they have to win 3 in a row... and that's something they clearly can't do. Shit, they can't even play an entire half decently... let alone 3 games.

A few notes though.... and I'm a pistons fan, too... so consider that before whining about anything I say.

-Rasheed may be a great defender, but he's still a poison to any team he's on. He's got worse temper control than Ron Artest. You wanna talk about costing your team? How about a needless Technical foul while walking off teh floor with 3:30+ left and your team down five. For every good thing he does, he goes and does two stupid/bad things.

-Zo is a bitch. I respect him for that kidney shit, but he's not half the man Sean Elliot was, who went through the same thing and not only lead his team to a championship, but did it with character.

-Shaq gets more calls than any superstar in the NBA. Arguably more than Jordan. Watch him next time he gets the ball. Everytime he goes to turn he throws his elbow back against his defender. Any other center in the league would get called for a foul for that shit, and Shaq does it so much it's considered normal. And when he does foul, everyone looks the other way because he's so big. As much as I love what Shaq does for the game as a whole, he's wayyy too arrogant for how little skill he actually posesses. I'd love to see him play 1 on 1 versus a GREAT center like Abdul Jabbar or Olajuwon. He couldn't hold their jockstraps. Most dominant center? Probably... just like William Perry was the most 'dominant' runningback in NFL history cuz nobody could tackle him one on one. Best center? Nope. I wouldn't even put him in the top 5... cuz my top 5 could wipe the floor with his ass.

And furthermore, what the fuck is Larry Brown thinking with his stupid ass gameplans? "Oh, well lets play shaq one on one. SHIT! THE REST OF THE TEAM IS SHOOTING THE LIGHTS OUT... DOUBLE DOWN ON SHAQ!" Maybe if he focused more on telling Chauncey/Arroyo/Hamilton/Rasheed/Hunter not to force 3's with 17 seconds left in the shot clock, they wouldn't be looking so horrible. Prince is the best player on the pistons if for nothing else than the fact that once they go down he doesn't start hoisting up 3's from 27 feet the moment he touches the ball.

I disagree... the back to back schedule could wear Shaq down... Miami needs a semi-healthy Shaq so he can do what he did tonight, break down the Detroit D...

I actually thought he had grown out of that stuff.. guess now.

<whining about Shaq snipped>

Yeah Larry is usually much smarter than this... he made some bad decisions seemingly they didn't expect Shaq to play as well and didn't factor him being aggressive in... and they paid for it.

can someone post the kobex principle picture?

he told me the pistons were a lock to not only win this series, but that they were likely to sweep the series. he was so eager to tell me that right after game 1 ended. where are you now koney... where are you now!

Well, see that's the thing. Elliot was a classy player before his kidney transplant. Zo wasn't. What's the old saying? Can't give a classless dog a new kidney? Something like that. Anyway, Zo was a bitch before and after, I guess he's at least consistant. After his power play out of Jersey (AND Toronto), I can't believe he got the feel-good stories he did.

Fuck Zo.

Eddie Jones was the spark tonight the Heat needed to survive a potential drought.

I agree with Collins... who the hell expect the Heat to score this many points?(relatively speaking against a great Pistons D).

Man Billups fouled out and he didn't even get any camera time(foul out show player walking to the bench).

what Detroit D? Like it or not, they could defeat the Pistons with Zo at center... maybe not if it was a full series, but spotted a 2-1 series lead? Shit... they could have Haslem starting at center and win 2 out of 4 from the pistons.

:watches Dwyane Wade turn his ankle on a fade away jumper with 8 seconds left and an 8 point lead:

I inferred he meant Top 5 of all time. Here's mine :)

1. Wilt
2. Kareem
3. Bill Russell
4. Hakeem Olajuwon
5. Shaq

I guess he could move ahead of Olajuwon, had I not seen Hakeem play.

Shaq is dumb... keep him away from the mic... although if I had to choose between:

1. Shaq
2. Barkley
3. Magic

...then I'm taking Shaq.

First off, Duncan most definitely is a center. I don't care if he lines up at the 4 once in awhile... he's a center. Beyond that, I'd take Jabbar, Wilt, Olajuwon and Ewing all over him.

I'm talking Centers all-time, by the way... not just in the league now. Naturally he's the most dominant center in the league now, cuz there are no good centers in the league now.

WOOOO!!! The Heat are en fuego, baby! This was a much-needed win. You steal the first road game, and you send a psychological message to the opposing team and their fans. This is what we needed. Wade with 40 followed up by 36 tonight. And Shaq's numbers are so understated. We run the offense through him. It's so clear that his mere presence on the court opens up opportunities for everyone else. This is why I will continue to promote him as the MVP. He commands a game healthy, unhealthy, one-legged, blind-folded, anyway you can think of. You respect The Diesel, or you get run over. Detroit has the best defense in the league, and they have to double on him or suffer. When we play team ball, there's no stopping us. Miami in 5, I say again. Game 1 was really upsetting b/c we should have won that game. But we didn't play team ball (for obvious reasons). The last two games, we've spread it around. Eventhough Wade and Shaq got most of the points, it's about the number of touches each player gets.

I'm really happy to see this team playing the way that was most successful for us in the regular season, and having success with it. When we has those streaks this year, it was b/c we ran the offense through Shaq and opened up good looks for everyone else. Even without Shaq, we need to distribute the ball down low. But Zo isn't Shaq, and can't open the court in the same way. 2-1 baby! Game 4 is even more important. We need to play this next game like it was Game 7. You take a 3-1 lead in a series and it's almost as good as winning it. You gotta believe. It's destiny. :) PEACE.

Eddie Jones made a few shots tonight that I haven't seen him make in 3+ years. The X-Factor indeed.
People forget this was Eddie's team before Wade stepped in and hijacked it in his rookie season. I was screaming for the team to trade EJ all season long. I am so glad we didn't. His defense is so important, it's not funny. That's what he brings, his defense. His clutch 3pt shooting has only been a bonus. And yes, he can still beat people off the dribble. This team doesn't need a forward. EJ can double as a guard or a forward (thank you Lakers for your love of big guards). And he can take it to the hoop if he's feeling aggressive (although not as well as Dooling or Wade) or he can try and get open for a jumper. He has been the biggest improvement this playoffs. Not that he wasn't talented before, just that he was quiet and in the background. And most of the season, he was hot or cold. But in the last third of the season, he got really hungry and started playing like the player that was once supposed to lead this team. That contract is very much justified. He is stepping up bigtime this playoffs, as is Zo. PEACE.

I didn't forget, and he came from the Hornets, not the Lakers.

edit: He's a great defensive guard though, and that part of his game has been overlooked especially in his recent offensive downfall.
