Flagrant? AAAAAHHHHH!!! A fucking tech? Jesus Christ. This is fucking ridiculous. In the second half, the refs need to get their shit together. The flow of this game is pathetic. One foul after another. This is the goddamn playoffs. Let them play. Ugh, and the Pustons back up by 12.

EDIT: Points in the paint, Wade. Poor shot selection like Game 1 all over again. SVG has to talk to him at halftime. Get his head on right again. Pass the fucking ball, setup good looks. This is why we need to run the offense through Shaq, which is why he needs to stay out of foul trouble. We need to close it to within 10 for halftime. That's the least amount of famage we can hope for.

1. Wade...if you take another long jumper, I'm gonna fucking kill you. When the shot is falling, that's fine. But when you miss like 7 shots in a row, all jumpers, then that tells you to fucking stop. Ugh. SVG doesn't do enough to reign him in at times like this. You strap a leash on his ass and tell him if he Kobes this game away again, he's not playing in Game 5. There are other players on this team. Give them a chance to get involved.
2. Shaq...that last foul was bullshit, but when you get a foul in the opening minutes, that tells your big, dumb ass to take it easy. He say out most of the first half. The most important player on our teams needs to be on the court. Ditto for Zo. You can't run Twin Towers when both your guys are in foul trouble from the first half. Jesus, this is compromising our strategy.
3. REBOUND REBOUND REBOUND! Break out the Balmer dance, SVG. We look like idiots just standing around as Detroit outrebounds us on both ends of the court. Detroit can try all sorts of difficult shots b/c they know there's a better than 50% chance they'll come up with the board. It's about hustling to the whistle. How many out of bounds saves have Detroit gotten b/c they hustle? This is the entire series I'm talking about here. REBOUND GODDAMMIT. And when you rebound, hold onto the fucking board. Zo has either been stripped, or fumbled away a good five boards. Embarassing. Haslem is the only rebounder worth a damn right not, and he's got one bad hand. This just shouldn't be happening.
Now Detroit is hitting their shots, but we're just playing like garbage. Taking shitty shots on offense, and not getting any second looks. And they we're giving up offensive boards galore on the other end so Detroit just plugs away until it falls in. And then the fouls. We just need to play smarter.
Shaq gets a touch from the first play in the 3rd. He gets a touch everytime down the court. He's also gotta work harder to get a good post position. Don't try these 8-footers, get in the paint. I think SVG should give Butler a chance on the perimeter. That or run a couple plays to give DJ some looks from 3. If he can get hot, he can be more productive. He's not getting many chances this series. OK, time to get another beer. PEACE.

Yeah rebounding's not really the top priority right now. We're alright there.
Foul trouble is the main reason the Heat are down.

Holy crap, it doesn't even look that close. Maybe they counted all the times Zo came up with the ball and then had it slapped right out of his hands. Like I said, it happened a good 5 times already. Can you tell that the rebounding has been this close? Detroit's been the ones controlling this game with their hustle. Maybe I'm watching a different game. Those stats don't seem right at all. :? Has there been a single quarter this series when Shaq hasn't been in foul trouble? Seriously, if he can give a full game against Detroit, it would be such a big boost. Anyway, we need to get the lead for the 4th. I see no reason why we need to be coming from behind the entire damn game. They showed the second-chance points advantage. That's how the rebounding looked to me. Detroit just outhustling us and making good on their chances. PEACE.

Well, this game is pretty much over now. It's possible to make a comeback, but not with the garbage ball we've been playing all night.
I think we need to regroup for Game5. SVG should tell the big men that it's ok to concede some early dunks and early points. Stay the fuck out of foul trouble, having them on the court is more important. So what if they contest a few shots, but end up with early fouls and miss half the half? Give up a few easy buckets, but play for more minutes and get a chance to contest way more shots than they have tonight.
I'm not throwing in the towel by any means, but this has been a lesson in rebounding and hustle. I know we went over the stats already, but even TNT is pointing out the second-chance shots. Regardless of what the stats read, the Heat have been outhustled and simply outplayed. And it's always gonna be a fight to get points against this Detroit team. Let's see if we can maybe pull off a miracle in these last 5. DJ...I'm looking at you, son. PEACE.

these refs so far this series aren't good. I'm not gonna blame any losses for anyone on refs, cuz I think that's a bullshit thing to do. I mean, if you're gonna lose because the refs suck, then you probably weren't playing good enough to win anyways. Sure it usually may cause a few points one way or the other, but ultimately, if you're depending on those 2 or 4 points that a ref cost you, then you haven't played well enough (in ANY sport) to warrant a win.
but yeah, my beef with these refs is that they're sooo inconsistent. They don't favor any team, which is good. Crawford is usually solid like that. But sometimes they'll call ANYTHING like its an old Bulls game, and othertimes they'll let the teams run and hack away like its an old Celtics/Pistons game from the 80's. I just wish they'd be consistent. If you're not gonna call the light stuff, then keep it that way the entire game. Don't switch all the time. I understand wanting to control the game, but really... lets get some consistency.
now I get to listen to Charles mumble his way through an explanation of the pistons.

Played an even game in the second, but still got worked on the boards like a bunch of chumpstains. Oh well, no more silly predictions...this series. It might well go the full 7 at this rate. But I'm still picking the Heat...duh. It's a no-brainer IMO. We'll do better at home, but ffs, we have no excuse playing like this. Again, SVG has to tell Shaq and Zo to concede some east bucket early if it keeps them on the court longer. We don't need to be fouling so hard early. Good game to the Pistons. They hit their shots, but they've shot pretty well all series long. They just hit slumps at the wrong times. But they played like they wanted it. Outhustled us total. Pimped us on the boards. It was a show of force from a team with heart. Fouls aren't an excuse at anytime IMO. Miami has enough depth to carry through. But all series long, we've been beaten to the ball by Dertroit. It's not a a best of 3. Depressing.
