Yep, that emotional investment crap sure made me laugh. :lol

Oh man if you liked that, I've got some great Manu jokes for you from these Laffy Taffy wrappers:

Q: What kind of computer component is Manu Ginobli?
A:
A floppy drive.

Q: What unit of measurement do you use to determine Manu Ginobli's vertical leap?
A:
The Teraflop.

Q: What does Manu Ginobli do all day?
A:
Flop around like a fucking bitch.

And he still has more rings and individual achievements than the whole current Suns team put together. Go Manu Flopobili!

Oh I'm not saying he's a bad player at all. The flopping honestly does annoy the shit out of me, but flopping annoys me a lot in any sport, and a lot of times it's everywhere, though some just do it a hell of a lot more than others. Obviously he's a great player regardless maybe even a better player for the flopping, but he should probably tone it down or it's gonna be more like The Manu Who Cried Wolf.

Astro I've got a great Nash joke for you from this Laffy Taffy wrapper:

Q: What's Nash made out of?
A:
Same thing as this wrapper! Paper MVP, bitch!

I never knew Matlock was such a spurs fan! Defending a flopper like Ginobili can only be done by Spurs fans....and Flopobil fans. Did you cheer for Ivan Drago in Rocky 4?

If the Heat do in fact take out the Pistons, I won't be too upset, Spurs will take care of them, and they are my #2.

But I'll be happy to finally unload LB. He's a great coach, but such a bitch. All this Cavs talk has me so pissed off. Come on Flip! We need to inject a bit of offensive talent and mindset into this team.

is larry brown fucking retarded? you don't pull this shit in the playoffs, ESPECIALLY in the middle of a dog fight series where you are down 2-1. i will be surprised if the pistons pull this series out

Heh that's pretty convenient.

I just watch that block....wow.... more proof Tim Duncan is a soft center, following in the footsteps of his soft Navy mentor. ;)

Man I expect tonight's game to be a WAR... the Pistons are gonna come out with that being down 2-1 intensity... and the Heat are gonna try to come out and put the champs on their heels.... will the one day of rest have been enough for Shaq? Will at least one of the Jones boys show up to play? Can Haslem and Damon continue to work through the pain?

Stay tuned...

As long as the ball hasn't left the shooter's hand, and you don't go through the rim, you can block a dunk like that, if you can ;)

I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic (as in, "that block was so good it should be illegal!" :p), but when I saw it, it definitely seemed that Amare had his hand bent OVER the cylinder when he extended for the block, which is illegal. I guess I'd have to see another replay to be certain, though.

EDIT:

You sure? I always thought that no action straight above the cylinder (offensive interference or defensively) was allowed. Guess I was wrong. :p

Watching it using ESPN Motion the block starts before the ball is straight above the cylinder.

That was a great block, but it's not like it took superhuman strength like all the announcers were saying. It was hard no doubt, but he spun the ball out of Duncan's hand, very smart.

All the papers are calling LB "Next Town Brown" now :lol.

Ah, okay. :) Crazy block either way-- usually guys don't have the balls to even try something like that. :p

The way I always viewed it was that until there is a shot, there is no "cylinder." I'm pretty sure that as long as you don't stick your arm through the hoop you can do whatever you can to make a play on the ball. I'm not sure what the "rule" may be, but I'm not hearing any chatter about goaltend at all, which leads me to believe I'm correct.

Duncan hadn't shot the ball, as it was still in his hand, and Amare was all ball. I don't see how it could be called goaltending. If it was/should have been, it's worse than the tuck rule imo. Just because someone is attempting a dunk over the rim doesn't give him free reign to get the shot off.

Pistons are winning by at least 10 tonight, and at one point be up by 15. Wade will be under 30, shaq under 25. The heat will be out played, out matched, out husstled, and out coached. Ron Jeremy couldn't coach his way out of a box. Tonight starts the trend back to championship form for the Pistons... Going to work!

"We got him! MOVE IN!"

:lol

Miami has a chance to end the series tonight and they need to take advantage of it. Giving teams life has a way of coming back to bite you in the ass. I knew the Pistons would regret it after they mailed it in in Game 2, now all the pressure is on them. Shaq is a vet and will give it his best to try and knock them out early on. Will be interesting to see how the Pistons will respond to the challenge.

Should be a great game regardless though.

People don't really understand Piston basketball. I don't know if its masochism or just LB's influence, but these guys like to make it as hard on themselves as possible. I probably said it about 20 times last year, that they didn't deserve to win against New Jersey, then against Indiana, but then they kicked it into overdrive at the end of the Finals last year and it carried them through the Lakers like they were nothing.

I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they won 3 in a row against the Heat and the stole the first one in San Antonio.

Keep telling yourself that... while I wouldn't be surprised if the Pistons win the series I'd be REALLY surprised if they won 3 in a row. The Heat aren't the Pacers and they certainly aren't the Nets. They have alot more weapons and options. When those particular weapons and options remember they are there...

You know the Lakers use to have that we can turn it on anytime we want to mentality.... until one day they realized... well no they couldn't.... and while the Heat aren't known first for their defensive ability they've shown throughout the season that they can play some serious D too.

Wow Refs are calling it tight to start. What was that occasional butt slapping Wade was doing just now? lol

Wow Shaq's gonna have to sit... send in the Zo... this gives the Pistons an advantage.

wade needs to step up now that Shaq is sitting

ah crap, you know the game isn't going good when shaq and zo have 2 fouls in the first quarter.

Fucking great. Shaq with two fouls. Now Zo with two. There goes our presence on the boards. :( At least Doleac can kinda hold his own. Shaq and his early foul trouble will be the death of me. I can't take this. Oh yeah, and can someone teach Zo how to pull in a rebound? I know the long-arm Pistons are great at slapping the ball loose, but come on. If it hits your hands, pull it down. PEACE.

Lots of fouls, no real bad calls though, just calling it very tight.

If LB coached Miami, Shaq, Zo, and D. Jones would sit out the 2nd :lol

It's a miracle, the Pistons are actually making their shots!

We are getting raped on the boards. Someone throw some stick 'em on those hands asap. I can't watch another fucking Pistons offensive rebound that gets converted to a bucket. This is embarassing. :( Anyway, we need to keep it close this quarter. Shaq needs to stay out of foul trouble. Don't even contest a shot, just stay out of trouble. PEACE.

If the Heat lose this game it won't be because of the Pistons "defense" it'll be because of foul trouble.

Pistons have put themselves in GREAT position to win this tonight. Shaq has 3, Zo has 2... the Heat supporting cast has gone to sleep... again....

Man this series is so tight. I'd like to see this go the full 7.

Bad bad call call for Shaq. The Pistons ARE wisely pushing Miami with their foul trouble.

Where the hell is Wade though, he's nonexistent.

Pimpwerx

And there's #3. OMFG! That wasn't even a foul, but whatever. Fouls aren't even the problem so much as getting treated like bitches on the fucking boards. When did Zo become fucking butterfingers? Missed opportunities and giving too many second-chances. The refs should ease up on the fouls, but not until the second half now. They are killing the flow of this game with the goddamn fouls. It's being called even, but this is pathetic. The Heat need to run more if Shaq's sitting. PEACE.

Oh yeah, the long jumpers from Wade...not happening tonight. We need points in the paint. I wonder what our shot chart looks like tonight. It can't be pretty. PEACE.
