Sadly, no, but we did get the fantastic Actionloop Twist though!

Me! Me! I'm currently on a record run for number of weeks passed without a VC game that I would buy being released.MoxManiac said:SO WHO'S READY FOR SOME DISSAPOINTMENT COME MONDAY, HMMM ?
Considering we're talking about Starmen, so I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo was lying to them out of spite for their Mother love. -_- But--well, whatever the case, I guess it's time for me to stop attacking Nintendo of America and start merely calling out "Nintendo" as a whole for this mess.Capndrake said:According to multiple people on Starmen who called NoA's customer service, Nintendo of Japan decides the releases for every region.
I've bought five VC games I regretted and they cost me $28 combined. I bought Super Paper Mario, regretted that every bit as much, sold it afterward, and it still cost me $25.cpro said:I'm done with the VC for good, I think. I bought two games, both rather boring, but I can't return, sell, or lend them like I could with a physical cartridge.
That's a lot of implication to read into what I was saying. Even moreso when I had just gone into further detail about what I meant--and what I meant was nothing like you're suggesting. Of course, you didn't quote that part of what I said.thaivo said:Which proves that they are unhappy with the way things are?
Yes, I agree with your sidebar tautology which happens to be irrelevant to the question of whether Nintendo's treatment of VC is worth complaining about. I don't know why that makes you happy, though. Then you agree with me.![]()
Gotta... resist... derailing... D:Seriously though. It's not like the games aren't going to come. VC, WiiWare, and the great commercial releases.
On DS, certainly not.I'm not sure Nintendo fans have had it this good since the SNES.
You seem to have a strange picture of me, which I guess might be helped along by the way you consistently leave out things I say that address your counterarguments. I already said:It's not like Nintendo can treat these things like a PC person treats Roms. There is a little more involved then just throwing the games out there. I'm certain there are licensing issues, intellectual property issues, royalty issues, etc. One could even argue that some of the obstacles in front of getting a game on VC don't even exist wiath new games. This is not saying that they don't have a huge backlog of games that developers have already okayed.... but it isn't as simple as you seem to think it is.

Phantasy Star IV is coming out sometime this month in Japan, so it shouldn't be too far off for the rest of us.Drkirby said:Most likely me just going crazy, but I think we are going to get something good this Monday...

I've got a massive appreciation thread in a txt file that I'm waiting to post when it hits.
GBA was pretty awesome too; it just ends up looking not as much so next to SNES and DS.Iam Canadian said:Jiggy already addressed the DS point, but when you consider how the N64 and Gamecube came out, that's not a terribly hard mountain to ascend.
Good luck with that one.JohnTinker said:I hope that we can start up 2 WiiWare, 2 VC weeks from now on. It would be a nice, steady pace for games.

What do you think digital distribution is? Customer happy land?
You never really own what you buy with digital era, it's a fiscal paradise for big corporations. They can control what you do. Make more money. Just guess why all those big corporations want to push people off from physical goods...
byproduct said:It just occurred to me that not releasing more games is Nintendo's answer to the lack of storage on Wii problem.
Next to follow: removal of best-selling titles already on the VC.
My predictions are Kirby's Dreamland 3, and Super Bonk.JasonMCG said:So, uh...any idea what (likely awful) games come out tomorrow?

Would be awesome if they brushed up lots of the criticism the game has been notoriously known for and released an enhanced version we all wished we'd get with the original game![]()
I remember being hyped for it back in 1999, along with Eternal Darkness and JFG and all the other near-N64-death-age games.DavidDayton said:That reminds me... what was the late Western RPG release for the N64... Aiden Chronicles, or something like that? I remember hearing about it and some of the development staff mentioned it over in adventure game forums and the interactive fiction usenet groups ages ago...

And then it comes out in 2001 and it sucks.
Dig Dug? DIGFUCKINGDUG? Didn't we get this game like three times already? Is Nintendo trying to pull a fast one on us by releasing games already on the service? Anyways, shitty shitty week. Possibly in the running for most shitty week.Capndrake said:Wii-kly Update
Wasn't released outside Japan for some reason. When Spelunker comes to Europe (It's rated) that'll be 600 points for usShard said:600 Points for god damned Dig Dug?

couldn't disagree more. Toki Tori, Lost Winds, Pop, FF:CC, DYC, Dr. Mario, TV Game Show... all games that are easily priced at fair market value. Hell, I would go so far as to say all good games on WiiWare are reasonably priced. If you honestly think those games are over-priced, well the obviously you won't be happy until all downloadable gaming is priced at throw away prices signifying it as the trash it is.Scrubking said:Indeed. I'm disappointed with the pricing of most Wiiware games. Way too high.
