That UVA game was about the best FSU has looked in at least 5+ years. That right there was the Seminoles of the 90's. Just an all around beatdown in every aspect... against a team ranked higher than us and favored by 3. Fantastic game by Wyatt Sexton. 20-26 including 5 dropped passes -- ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I wonder if Delta still says Rix is better?!

GO WYATT AND THE NOLES, WOO! Top 5 baby.

I used to be a diehard FSU fan for years, in fact my entire childhood up untill the point where I started DJ'ing at a sportsbar/club here just off the LSU campus.

It wasn't untill I got to know most of the players, cheerleaders, softball, baseball, volleyball players and everyone involved in athletics not to mention just the insane hype and expectations people here have for the program that I became such huge LSU fan.

As long as I've wated FSU, I've never ever seen such a useless QB as Rix, plays big in games that don't matter, just to fold up and panic in big games.

I'll be so glad when this year is over for football, just because I know wioth Rix gone, and the current senior QB at LSU (Randall) gone, next year has soooo much more potential for both teams it's not even funny.

I'd love to see LSU and FSU go at it in a big bowl game, but not this year, this year is kind of a waste for both teams in my eyes.

Next year will be exciting, no more QB transition at LSU, and Rix/Randalls bad decision making and single handedly losing the majority of thier big games will be over.

Wooooooo, bring on next year baby

Congrats FSU fans. This is what happens when you get rid of the cancer from your team. Rix has sucked since his first start. He was NEVER good...ever...........EVAR!!111 Seriously, that guy's sucked forever, and now Bowden's finally gotten a decent QB. Really, it's not that hard to do considering it's the #2 recruiting program in probably the best recruiting state in the nation. But for some reason, Bowden finds a single QB and sticks with them to graduation. It worked out with Ward, even after he started off with like 8 INTs. Busby wasn't too horrible, and Wienke ran the O well. But Rix has blown, and any FSU QB that can't beat UM is worthless. Every FSU QB much pass that test, just as every Canes QB has to beast the Noles at least once to get respect. As of now, Berlin >>>> Rix, and that says a lot.

Back to the real teams, my Gators got their much-needed ego stroke in against Mid Tenn. Ah, it feels good to demolish a team properly. But this doesn't make up for the disappointing losses to LSU and UT. This is a season we could and should be challenging for a national championship, not sitting on the sidelines watching like we are. We were still potent as a one loss team. Now we're just gonna try and play the upset role. Look out UGA and FSU. We no longer have anything to lose, so of course, this is the time the Gators finally shine. We could never keep up this level of motivation for a full season. I mean, that would have won us about three championships in the last decade, and we wouldn't want that. :( PEACE.

Fuck Miami! I love how they barely beat Louisville (WHY COULDNT YOU FINISH THEM OFF?! Worse than FSU's collapse) and yet essentially move up from it. Craziness.

oh yeah, that's the stuff :D

Now if Brock Berlin can stay decent on a consistent basis, I wouldn't be worried for the rest of the year.

It feels better when the team you're playing is ranked above you. :p

See you in November, bitch.

BCS poll seems about right. I don't think Miami will go undefeated so I'm not too worried about it. I think Virginia will destroy them honestly. Auburn will probably lose again too, but if I were putting money on it, I'd say it's USC and OU in the Orange Bowl. Don't think they'll lose again.

I agree that Miami is usaully good for a loss somewhere in the season, but I really feel Auburn will run the table. The only possible stumbling block for them is the SEC champinship game, and it looks like they're going to play Tennessee (which is my team, but c'mon, we got no chance of beating Auburn). I sort of hope we end up with Auburn, USC, and OU all winning out, with Auburn and USC in the Orange Bowl. That way, the BSC would get owned and the two best teams--in my opinion, of course--would still be playing for the title.

You forget that Utah and Wisconson could easily run the table as well. Wisconson doesn't even have to play Michigan this year, and Utah, well...they're in a joke conference. We can easily have 4 or 5 undefeateds at the end of the season. BCS controversy, here we come!

San Antonio architectural firm O'Connell Robertson & Associates Inc. has been selected from a short list of highly acclaimed national architects to develop a comprehensive master plan for Texas A&M University's athletics facilities.

Central to that plan is the expansion of the Aggies' Kyle Field from 82,000 to 115,000 seats, which would make it the largest football stadium in the nation.

Chris Lammers is heading up the master plan team for O'Connell Robertson. He says the plan for Kyle Field calls for the addition of six new decks of seating, as well as new concourses and fan amenities -- including pedestrian bridges, scoreboards, video walls and additional luxury suites. The plan also calls for major improvements to existing portions of the historic stadium, which was built in 1927.

The question being "Do they really need 33,000 extra seats?" With so many damn schools in Texas, I'd be surprised that A&M would have enough diehard fans to fill that stadium up on a regular basis.

One one hand, that's a HELLUVA lot of extra seats... on the other hand, their fans don't give a second thought to squeezing their nuts. So it's a tough call.

I got to A&M, here my analysis:

If the Aggies can best Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State on a regular basis, we'll see sell-out crowds at the game...

As it is, attendence since they hired the new coach has dropped drastically (from record-breaking attendence during a few games in '01/'02 with 86,000+) to some games having less than 60,000, and part of the student deck actually empty...

it also doesn't help that ticket prices were $100 for the whole season when I was a Freshman, now they are like $200+, college kids aren't exactly ones to have excess cash for non-essentials most of the time...

that said, we're a one-loss team that looks like it can upset Texas and Oklahoma, so hopefully from now on attendance will start improving again...

I think A&M can win 2 of 3 against OU, Tech, and Texas.

OU is of course the most dangerous. Their two tier offense is almost unstoppable. You focus on White, Peterson rushes for 150+ yards. You focus on Peterson, White throws 4 TDs. But we did beat them two years ago at home, and I think we are a better team than two years ago. I think OU is a better team though too. Should be a good game, but we will most likely lose in the end. And College Gameday better come down!

Texas Tech scares me more than Texas. Good thing we are playing them at home though. Our secondary, while it is improving, is still the weakest part of our team. We have proven that we can stop some of the top rushers in the nation, however there is a chance that Tech could ring up 40+. The good news is like I said before, our secondary seems to be improving every game, and our offense should have a field day against Tech's defense as well. It will be closer than the rankings will show, but we will win.

Texas is Texas. They have dominated us over past years, and it is in Austin. However, their passing game is piss poor right now, and Benson is their offense. Our defense can stop the run. We may have a little more trouble against Benson, but I think we will be able to handle it. This is the year we beat Texas.

Students have to buy season tickets?! Holy crap, I'm glad I went to Clemson where every student was guaranteed a free ticket to every single home game until they graduated.

WTF? My student season tickets are only about $45, but you get yours for free? Unbelievable! I feel so ripped off.

And you know, for the longest time I thought all schools were like that. When I found out most students had to pay and weren't even guaranteed tickets for every game, I was shocked.

I know at A&M it is $200+ for EVERY sporting event.

And for football you don't get designated seats, you have to pull tickets the week before the game. So you end up sitting at different spots each game.

I'd imagine it's that way at every school.. I know it is at FSU. We dont have to "pay" for tickets here, but it's built into tuition.. I'd imagine it is the same at Clemson. Basically, you're paying to go even if you dont take advantage of it.

Crap, it's painful to watch PSU play these days. They downed a kickoff at Iowa's 1 yard line, and prevented them from making any gains. Then they blocked a punt and recovered it at the 8 or 9. Despite being that close, they never moved forward, and then Gould MISSED a field goal from that distance.

I guess that at least the PSU defense had a good show today. They only gave up two field goals, and caused two safeties as well. It was the offense that sucked balls, and kept turning it over.

Pete Carroll Owns Me
Well he might be going against my Wolverines but orton just got some respect points for calling the Yankees the Evil Empire on national TV.

Oh and Marlin Jackson just put a lick on a Purdue WR.

Ouch, Gators lost. Ron Zook is gone for sure at the end of the season.. It's too bad, he seemed like a decent guy early on.

First of all, Devon Hester is a return machine, I say again. You had to have seen that coming. From the first block I knew he was free. That last guy stood no chance in the world of stopping him. Coker has to get off his ass and work this kid into the offense. Not doing so is a crime.

Now for some bitterness. For all his defensive coord. experience, Ron Zook has done fuck all for the Gators' D. At least Spurrier could manage out consistently blow out enough teams that our D couldn't sink us, but this is just unbelievable right now. The last time MSU put a hurting on us, I nearly cried. But they were a much better team then than what we just lost to today. :( Not an impressive game at all. Offense is still ok, but how does a second-rate MSU offense score 38 on us? I don't think Conner or Norwood are nearly as good as we made them look today. Norwood was walking on water today, unbelievable. Ron Zook joins the Gators from the Saints, and now our teams is playing like the Saints. We're a sorry bunch of chokers lately. I'm not at all pleased. The loss to Tenn was noble since it happened on the road due to a bad call. The loss to LSU stung, but you know they're a decent team that can upset anyone. Losing to MSU is nothing short of embarassing. The writing was on the wall. We'd ducked a few bullets, but I was hoping it was just working out the kinks. THe shit's just plain broken. No denying it now. Something needs to be done on D. I don't know what, but something. Learn to fucking tackle guys.

That said, why are we still under-using Fason? His YPC were great today, and not just due to that 55 yarder. He's breaking a lot of tackles, and I think more carries can only be better for that kid. The season's over. We're playing in the Aloha Bowl or something else lame unless we can beat UGA and win out the rest of the way. It's time to start planning for next season. Leak is coming along great. Let him loose. I say open up that playbook, and get aggressive. Also, try getting him out of the pocket and on the move more often. It might help free up some of those receivers. Those guys could use a little more help getting open. I'd also give Fason the ball more and put Wynn on ice. There's only one back there with a big future, and that Fason. He's not gonna go pro this year, I say work on his speed and strength some more, but he's got great vision and he's already pretty elusive for someone of his size and running style. On D, we have talent, but the schemes being used are getting trampled. On that last run today, Crowder gets beaten on the play b/c he's on a blitz. Crowder had a gang of tackles today, why would you take your best pursuit guy out of the pursuit? With him out of the play, it turned into a homerun. I don't know, I'm pissed right now. This season has hit the shitter a lot earlier than expected. We never suffered like this under Spurrier. It was s close call sometimes, but I always felt like we had a chance to win with him. Now I'm always worried we might lose. Against unranked teams with Spurrier, I used to only have to worry about how many points we were gonna score. Losing to an unranked team is embarassing, this is not Gator football. I'm gonna join the ranks now. FIRE RON ZOOK!!! I should look back through this thread, b/c I'm pretty sure I had some nice words for him earlier this season. He's exhausted all my good will already. Fucking Zook. PEACE.

The way it seems with all of Zooks off the field/frat trouble and onfield losses mounting, it looks like Florida may end up with Spurrier back.

No doubt Georgia is strong when they are focused, David Greene is an extremely precise passer for NCAA standards, it's a shame he still hasn't learned to look off his initial reciever yet, but I'm sure he will adapt to the NFL very quickly.

Don't fret too much, with Leak back for 2 more years, and the potential for Spurrier to return next year, you may be the happiest guy on the forum regarding NCAA football this time next year.
Not that I think they'll win out in his 1st year back, but just knowing you have the comfort and stability he provides with a seasoned QB would be nice.
