Turnover on downs. Goodbye FSU!

Georgia over Florida.

UNC the early lead on Miami.

A complete state shutout would be so sweet.

Gee, tighten up those special teams, Wazzu. First they blow the onside kick on the opening kickoff. Then they let USC collect the kickoff following USC's first touchdown.

Gators, almost there. That's our anthem this season. :( We have one hell of an offense for whoever takes over next year. :D That defense needs major work though. I just can't fathom what a top flight offense would score on us. We can't stop shit. The Canes D is looking weak right now. Go Heels. PEACE.

Well glad thats over.

Jeff Bowden has got to go. The play calling was absolutly disgusting.

Then they bench the better QB cause he wasnt producing, WTF were those plays they made him do over and over and over. This shit pisses me off.

Good job Maryland, glad they won and I hope some changes come of this.

I could vomit my liver up right now. Please let State come through in OT. If Stanton hadn't got hurt it wouldn't even come to this.

Dammit.

And UNC should have 7 more points against Miami... not one but two absolutely horrible calls when they were threatening in the second quarter.

Uh-oh. 28-21.

When this crowd gets loud, Miami falls apart.

A complete Florida smackdown could be in the works.

bah..

Miami Defense just pissed me off this entire game, no pressure, secondary played awful, tarheels are no way near the talent level of Miami but they came to play.

OMFG.

I'm speechless.

I <3 UNC

First win over a top 5 team in school history!

BTW: I never knew LT went to UNC! And Mia Hamm did too?! Wow, that's like a trifecta of great atheletes: LT, MJ, and Hamm.

Well, OU will have an easy one next week. A&M just lost in OT to Baylor.
Now I am going to drink heavily and stick my head in the oven........

And to think I thought the Aggies had a shot next week.

I really didn't care that Florida State lost tonight. The only bowl game that matters to me is the Orange Bowl and OU and USC are not going to lose a game so who cares?

Florida State has been playing like shit all year and they did not deserve to be ranked 5.

A&M lost to Baylor!!!

Slocum must be having a good laugh right now...

I remember a nial-biter against Baylor back in 2001 (at A&M), then in '02 A&M went to Waco and pounded them 41-0, and last year they beat them 72-10 when Baylor visited (was at all 3 games)...

man, if Florida hadn't fired their head coach this would be a great time to get rid of Franchione and bring in Steve Spurrier...

I still think A&M can win against OU (Kyle Field is going to be insane), and win against Texas Tech and Texas to go 7-2, but I don't think of

BTW, only if you've been to a Baylor home game do you see that this is one of the games in the year that really means something to them...

Under normal football circumstances, this would be a fiery rivalry year-in, year-out because of location, and like they have a "Red River Shootout", Bedlam Series, Greatest outdoor cocktail party and other such rivalry names, this one is known as "The Battle of the Brazos", though it's always been one-sided cause Baylor sucks (I don't think we've lost to them since two previous coaches ago)...

Payback is going to be brutal next year for the Baylor Bears...

that said, I don't consider Franchione a "top-teir" coach, he's more of a Les Miles (Ok. State) and/or Mack Brown (Texas) "teir" coach at best IMO...

A&M (if they want better shots at OU and Big 12 Championship), need a coach in the Spurrier/Stoops caliber IMO...

frikken Cal.. why weren't they this good when I was going there? I had to watch Keyshawn Johnson and Ryan Leaf torch us. At least I did get to watch Regan Upshaw get crazy amounts of tackles for losses, Ryan Longwell kick ginormous field goals and Deltha O'Neal botch punt retuns and get burned by everyone.

Re: Gators...

well, here's to next year and a new dynasty with Spurrier at the helm (crossing fingers).

Oh SNAP.. Florida State AND Miami lost today??? And OU got a scare... wow.

Great game by Maryland. They're not a top-flight team, but their beating FSU doesn't necessarily surprise me. I'm not sure what happened, but 4 years ago or so, something changed at FSU. They went from the team that was always in contention for a national championship, almost unbeatable, to a team that can easily be owned by the right team. I think Bobby Bowden is becoming Joe Paterno-lite. He'll never be as pathetic as Paterno is now, but he'll never be in contention for a national championship again (heck, maybe not even ACC with Miami in the conference). Not unless something big happens at FSU.

As for Georgia-Florida, GA needed the win, but with Tennessee's win over South Carolina, UT is still calling the shots in the SEC East. And honestly, if there was ever a year GA was to beat the Gators, this was the year. If Richt and Co. had lost this game, GA should have been kicked out of the SEC for being so pathetic. :p

Can't wait for Spurrier time. ;)

I'll tell you exactly what happened. Chuck Amato left FSU to coach at NC State. NC State has beaten FSU 2 out of 3 years, and 3 out of 5 I believe.

Miami fans are shocked. Anything less than first place, and they don't care. I'm really suprised the D is what let them down though. Antrell Rolle was getting punked yesterday. I think a game like this might hurt his NFL stock. The Heels played well too though. That was a fun game to watch. I was getting tired of hearing Canes fans trash talking, now they're spectators too. PEACE.

I really like how Michigan is lower ranked than Wisconsin, yet may be Big Ten champions anyway. :p

They are undefeated and Michigan is not sadly. If Wiscy wins out they get the BCS bid. If they dont win out they'll prolly drop behind Michigan(who is going to win out) in the polls anyway. So right now it makes perfect sense.

The visor is gone for good. Steve Spurrier on Thursday morning withdrew his name from consideration for the vacant Florida coaching job, Spurrier, the most successful coach in Florida history, phoned UF athletic director Jeremy Foley Thursday morning to deliver the news. He then phoned several close friends including former UF coach Ray Graves. As first reported by The Sun, Spurrier said he decided he want a new challenge. Sources close to Spurrier said the old ball coach still may coach again, either in the NFL or at another college.

Oh crap, just saw it on ESPN. Oh well, let's steal that Louisville guy then. He's at least daring enough. Anyone's gotta do better than Zook. :( PEACE.
