DUKE!!!!!!!

I can't believe that actually happened.

We're so awesome. We'll be lucky if we put up any points on the gamechickens. My early prediction is Whitehurst will throw more touchdowns to the other team than to his own next weekend.

Ehhh, turn it to ESPN2, that should cheer you up. Heh.

I think I finally found out what the heck is up with Clemson this year. Check this out... a list of all the opponents they play both this season and last.

So I'm feeling pretty good about next week based on that chart! Which is good, because this week is fairly miserable.

Words cannot describe how much I hate Jeff Bowden's play calling. Who the fuck calls a run on 3rd and 23 at your own 5? Fucking christ. This game is horrible.

The new mantra on campus goes like this: "SEND JEFF TO UF!"

What pisses me off is no one blame Sexton. They blame Jeff Bowden. But the same doesn't hold true for Rix. When Rix plays like shit, it's his fault. Go figure.

Sure, Jeff Bowden's play calling sucks, but it's Sexton or Rix out there throwing the ball. They suck too. Maybe next year Xavier Lee will get a chance to qb.

Notre Dame is a funny team. Start out the year by losing to BYU... then beat Michigan the next week. Go on the road and beat Tennessee.... come back home and lose to Pitt. That's funny.

Haha, the Pitt QB dropped the f-bomb in his post game interview... Good for him.

First tragedy, then farce.
Meeeeechigan may jump the Utes, and likely will if both teams continue to win out. Most pollsters, ESPECIALLY the coaches poll are going to be likely to let teams jump over Utah simply because of conference ties. The computers arent going to help the Utes much either, their SOS is dropping like a rock while Michigans is going to continue to rise. There are alot of people that are showing Cal's SOS dropping like a rock, allowing Texas and Michigan to jump them if all teams win out. So, this is all going to be hard to follow the next 3 weeks.

Of course Michigan, Cal and Texas are all more than capable of dropping a game at this point.. Cal hasnt looked good in a couple weeks, Texas has decided to entice the bowls by showing their ability to win in dramatic fashion and Michigan has looked spotty at times this year. Also, depending on which team shows up for the domers, they can beat USC.. and Auburn has a real test in the Iron bowl. I think OU is safe to win out at this point, and Utah SHOULD win out...

of course, this farce of a BCS will have either Minnesota, Michigan, Texas, Cal or Utah left out of a major bowl game so that we can see the awesomeness that is Boston College and Miami. Thanks automatic bids! Seriously, just take the top 8 in the BCS as automatic bids.. 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6, 7 vs 8. If your conference cant manage a top 8 team, tough shit and better luck next year.

They're not a bad team, but they're not a wonderful team either. They're sort of like Oregon right now--they're right in the middle somewhere. In any case, Wisconsin should not have lost to them, let alone gotten blown out.

With Stanton playing they could prolly run the table in the Big Least by about 20 points a game......yeah thats not saying much though is it :D

the new rankings are up

Utes are #6 in the coaches poll, #5 in the AP poll, and ESPN is estimating #5 in BCS also!!

ESPN College Gameday is going to be broadcast live from Salt Lake City next weekend!!!!

PREPARE TO DIE BYU

lol, MSU lost to big east bottom feeder rutgers. No one can prop up Mich St and and bust on the big east in the same sentence because of that.

They lost to Rutgers on a last minute fucked up 4th down TE screen with Superman on the bench. With Stanton starting every game since the start State's sitting at 8-2.

No one is arguing whether Mich St is doing well now, or would of done much better with stanton, they are, and would be. But you can't go from losing to the worse big east team, to talking trash about the big east. You should be able to overcome the loss of the best player on the team to beat the worse big east team.

I can and did.

that's cool, you are right, you can say whatever you want, just thought I'd point out that it was somewhat hypocritical saying MSU could beat every big east team by 20 now, when they lost to the worse big east team already this season.

Temple is the worst Big East team.

Temple's win over Syracuse does not make them better than Rutgers. Syracuse is a horrible HORRIBLE HORRIBLE road team. As a matter of fact we (meaning Rutgers) crushed them at home last year. However Syracuse is very very good at home. Ref: Only loss at home being a tight one to Florida State.

Mich St. with Stanton might not have beat us. It wasn't QB play that was the problem that game. It was the recievers slipping and sliding on the turf and dropping passes. I don't think Stanton magically changes that.

So yeah... you can call Rutgers bad. After the loss to New Hampshire, we deserve that title. (though New Hampshire probably could beat half of the MAC and WAC teams with no sweat.) However, to call us the worst Big East team... that's harsh.

Oops, you are right, temple is worse team. Although this is Temple's last year, so I tend to consider them gone, just like if BC gets big east BC bowl, that is not a good for big east.

I like Rutgers, I think they will keep improving in the future. Just a tough year for them.

Man, fuck Utah, why do they have to screw ANOTHER bcs berth for Texas so they can make their "little guy" stand? I don't want us to go to the damn Texas Invitational again (see Holiday Bowl).

Man, I'm giddy for the Tar Heels. If we beat Duke and Virginia beats Ga. Tech, UNC takes over Ga. Tech's #5 ACC spot and that means UNC will go bowling in Charlotte, NC (my hometown)! I really hope it happens, because I think I'd be able to get tickets if it does. Even if I can't though, I'd really love for the Heels to be able to play in essentially their hometown (fuck Las Vegas Bowl).

:D

I think utah is getting what it deserves. We'll see how Texas does against A&M.. Utah beat them by ~30 points =P

Plus, the way Utah manhandled north carolina? where is the respect, NC has never given up that many yards in the school's HISTORY. I think that says a lot..

Trust me, I have nothing against you, I just have something against the football gods, who really like to screw us in every way possible, whether it be a freak loss by us, OU, or some technicaltiy that somehow forces us out of the Fiesta Bowl and into the Holiday Bowl or the Cottan Bowl.

Hopefully next year the scedules will be better for both of our teams. Its unfortuante that Utah's scedule was so easy, because this year I definatly think they are national champion material (now that their defensive line is nice an healthy: BRING ON THE RUNNING GAME USC/OU :lol )

Its just a shame that no one will ever really know if utah is over-rated or not. The fiesta bowl is big and everything, but it'll probably be against some team like #19 Boston College, which in my eyes, isn't nearly as presigious as playing at least a top 10 team.

So regardless, if Utah blows a #19 team out of the fiesta bowl by 30 points, they still will never get the credit they may have deserved. A Utah Texas game would be a very good one I think :)

I like the way you are thinking and want to subscribe to you newsletter, especially if that means kicking the Big East out of the BCS.

It will be ashame if Utah does play BC, because it is a lose lose situation for both BC and Utah. BC wins, well it will have to be because Utah is overrated. Utah wins? well, you know, it was only BC. The big conferences will be automatically protected in the BCS still, even though you have a lesser conference such as the big east with an automatic bid and the occasional other conference team such as Utah.

As far as getting rid of big east bowl bid, I don't that won't happen anytime soon. There was a lot of attention on the BCS before ACC took Miami and VT. They are not going to draw more attention by cutting another 9 teams out of the BCS picture, and rightfully so.

Yeah... let's forget the fact that Louisville is entering the Big East next year. Let's forget the fact the ACC pulled off some pretty shady tactics to undermine the conference's strength by stealing quite a few of its members. It's ok to reward the ACC for being greedy, after all, greed is a value that the NCAA and its member colleges want to promote.

Sadly, this is the truth.

SPUIRRER TO THE GAMECOCKS!!!!

Spurrier Getting Cocky
Let the wailing begin in Gainesville. ESPN confirms that Steve Spurrier has an agreement in principle to become the next coach at South Carolina, replacing Lou Holtz in 2005. The only snag would be if Holtz, who says he's worn out, opts to return for a seventh season with the Gamecocks.

Yeah, now I'm especially hoping we beat USC this weekend if only because it'll probably be the last time we beat them in the forseeable future.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Holtz is a great guy... I just hope my Gamecocks can send him riding into the sunset with a win. Then it's time for Steve Spurrier to come in and inherit the SEC's leading wideout. Oh man.

I'm GIDDY.

I feel like I'd be doing a disservice to my school if I did not do at least a little trash talking for the upcoming rivalry game. It's hard for me to do so this year since my team is very inconsistent and just disappointing in general. That being said...

Oh ho ho, the tables have been turned this year, my friend! The shoe is on the other foot, and lord willing, said shoe will be used to kick the Tigers up and down that nasty old field. I'm sure the players will find something to do in Pickens County this holiday season...

skiclemson.jpg

It's crazy... all the talk around town and on the boards is about Steve Spurrier and who he'll have on his coaching staff or what Clemson needs to do to become more consistent next season. Everyone seems to have forgotten that THE GAME is here. All that other stuff they're talking about... THIS is why all that matters in the first place.

End of the first quarter, and our only first down is from the punter picking up a blocked punt and running it.

Paging Dr. Spurrier...

Pistons were embarrassed last night.
Ben Wallace is out indefinetely.
And my boys were embarrassed by the worst team in the B10 today.

But at least I get to watch the Weasels have the Rose Bowl snatched right the fukk from under their noses. Good times.

These rivalry games are always watchable. Flipping between OSU / Michigan, Auburn / Alabama, and Cal / Stanford... good stuff.

Yea, no doubt, and although Auburn is doing great and I'd like to see an SEC team win it all, I think I'd rather see a USC Vs OU title game so everyone can watch OU totally embarras the most overated team in many years.

I think Alabama can do it, those guys seriously hate Auburn and this is thier bowl game in a way.
