We got NC State this weekend...afraid of T.A. McClendon..he's a stud when he's nothurt plus NCST had the #1 rated D (though partially due to who they've played)

Berlin is a fucking cancer to this team. Thank you Miami for taking him from the Gators. As crummy as our season now looks, at least I still feel we can challenge for the title come the end of the season. As good as Miami's record is, and as easy as their schedule is, I don't think they have a prayer of winning the championship with Berlin's scrub ass at QB. The only championship he'll ever win is for the other team when he keeps giving them the ball. Oh yeah, Gators 4 Life!!! :D PEACE.

And yet, I seem to recall Berlin torching the Gators last year in the second half. In fact, I was there!

Not that I'm defending the guy. But if anyone outside of Oklahoma/USC is going to win the national title, it's Miami. I don't think the Gators are even gonna make it to the SEC Championship. :p

The Gators will regroup. We'll beat LSU and Georgia, probably while they're undefeated. That's my hope though. That'll help. Although, I fear WVU and OK are going to go undefeated this year, and pretty much screw any legit chance at a championship. But that's fine. I think we can finish Top 5 easy this year and win the SEC. I mean, we still tied for the East win last year. OK, that's just desperation talking there. :p But I think we have a good chance should some teams screw up. It's still a 1-loss season, and that's gotten many teams to championships in the past. :) *Go Gators*

And Brock Berlin did torch us. He has talent, he's just flakey and inconsistent. And that's pretty damn worthless. He's had plenty of time to get over it now, and he hasn't. I really think he'll be the reason they lose a game this year. He's gonna throw one away, and Coker has apparently promised him the moon, so he'll leave him in there until it's too late. :lol I'm glad he's not a Gator now, b/c I was worried before. Turned out to be the best thing b/c Chris Leak is awesome. PEACE.

Edit: The announcers are tooling on Berlin for owning himself on that play. :lol

Anyone see a short hispanic dude in a yellow event staff shirt at the 50 yard line on the UH side at all? 'Twas I :D

UH COVERED! WOO!

And so today I make my long trek down to Tallahassee to watch them get whooped up by the Seminoles this weekend. Earlier this week I contemplated selling my ticket and just watching the game on TV, but as a fan my team needs me a lot more when they suck than they do when they're good.

So here's hoping for an upset. GO TIGERS!

I dunno. There's been talk of Tommy losing his job once again and you know what happened last year when that was the rumor. Bobby let Clemson win in order to save his son's job. ;)

This BYU punter is the shit. Last week he bombed a punt 70+ yards. This week, he's made two brutal hits on punt returns. The dude kicks FGs too (and hasn't missed a PAT). HEISMAN DARKHORSE!

We're making Kentucky look good today. Or maybe Kentucky's making us look bad. Without Fason's awesome run in the first half, we'd be up shit's creek. :( This is not a very convincing rebound game. Oh, and I thought LSU was still undefeated somehow. I'm in total denial these days. :lol :( PEACE.

I'm just about to walk down to Doak Campbell Stadium for the FSU vs. Clemson game. We will have our revenge!

Welcome to T-Town, bitch. Maybe you can come over and hang out with Agent Dormer, myself, and our friends and get drunk afterwards. I dunno though, I'd have to run it by everybody.

goddamit, Griese!
even though they haven't played any real good teams, Orton is looking like a stud. 13 tds, no picks. what a monster

Good lord, what an awful game! Things were grim in the first half when USC was playing that 'no pressure on the QB, give up every short pass' style of play that annoys the hell out of everybody. If the team plays like that against Cal, the game will be over at the half. Bush was the high point... he had one of those videogame punt returns where you keep hitting the spin button and manage to elude half the coverage team - that set up the go ahead score. He's looking more like an every down player, now that he's running up the middle a lot better.

But, really, the turning point in the game was when TBS showed a clip of some Stanford players singing an a capella rendition of a Boyz II Men song. Really, I don't think Stanford ever recovered from the cosmic embarassment that the airing of that clip must have caused. A real demoralizer for the sidelines. I'm not sure what the thought process was on the decision to film that clip....

Speaking of the Trojans... the Gamecocks had a horribly ugly win over Troy. Here's hoping the o-line gets it together before traveling to Bama next week.

Clemson looked like world beaters at the end of last season. What happened between then and now?!

Well, our running game was fantastic, but we showed how much we miss having Brodie Croyle at QB, pretty much like everyone expected. Marc Guillon's passes were crisp, and I think he was landing them exactly where he wanted, but he and the receivers need to get on the same page with a quickness.

I think the defense played solid, and all of the Piggies big plays were simply fantastic catches by guys that were well covered. Run defense was decent, too. Matt Jones is nothing but a pain in the ass at QB, and thankfully he's a senior who will graduate this year. Too bad we were missing our star QB or I think it would have been a game, but I'm not going to bitch and moan about it too much.

We get the Gamecocks next weekend, and unless we can straighten out our passing game this week, Carolina will take the game.

Whitehurst hasn't been Whitehurst this season. Our defense played their hearts out and did a fantastic job, but our offense couldn't hold the ball for more than a minute at a time and so the defense tired out. By the end of the game they were just getting run over. Justin Miller is the best return man ever, though.

Either way, Tallahassee was a blast and aside from the game I had a great time. With the exception of some obnoxious fans at the game, everyone we met was really awesome. After the game we went to some bar, I think it was called Bullwinkle's or something, and met a lot of cool people. There was this FSU fan who thought we were so awesome since we were still such diehard fans even though our team blows, so he kept buying us shots. The women there were all really hot and dressed really slutty, it rocked. My friends and I even stole a few of em. If I can, I'd really like to go down again in two years.

By the way seminole fans, good game. Lucky for you we took out Rix early on and your solid backup finished us off, heh.

Glad you had a good time at the game. I think I was being one of the obnoxious fans at the game. Too much to drink beforehand I suppose. LOL

Bullwinkles is a good time. I usually go on Fridays though. $10 all you can drink top shelf, and lots of hot women. woot!

I think Bowden should keep Rix in. Rix is better.

On a side note, I got the same crappy section I've gotten for the last two games. Right next to the freaking band. I hate this side of the stadium.

I've been clamoring for us to put in Sexton and bench Rix for good and hopefully this will do. Mike Bianchi of the Orlando Sentinel thinks we should.

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...2604sep26,0,618775.column?coll=tf-main-sports -- it appeared here as well (Orlando Sentinel's site requires you to sign up).

Word is Rix WONT start next game, finally.

Its been a long 3 (or is it 4) years.

Rix isnt that bad, but he hasnt improved in 4 years and still seems to have decision making issues. I think it was obvious the team backed Sexton more so than Rix. Oh yeah and if its not obvious fans do as well.

I gotta add Jeff Bowden called a better game, I think he did better during UAB as well.

Well it looks like Rix is out for at least two weeks. It's funny because I could have sworn I read on espn.com that Rix was able to play in the second half against Clemson, but the coaches kept Sexton in. Maybe it's a conspiracy. Hmmm....

Bobby Bowden QUOTES

(on injury to Chris Rix)

"It might be two weeks, that's two weeks at the earliest. You know it's a high ankle sprain grade two, and we've had guys miss six weeks with stuff like that. But he (trainer Randy Oravetz) was kind of looking at two.

Seriously dude, if we're both in the band section -- we gotta meet up. Quit being a pussy!

And yeah, my complaints with Rix are that he still looks as if he is a Freshman QB who has been thrust into the spotlight. His decision making process simply has NOT matured like it should have after years of pressure situations. Sexton is our future and we need to start grooming him now.

I'll be catching Bill Snyder and Darren Sproles come down to Aggieland this Sat.

I got first deck seats again, though not as good as the Clemson seats.

I've been waiting for ages for this game cause I'm a Kansas St. fan.

Texas A&M won the Big 12 Championship (under RC Slocum) with a win over K-State back in '98. Also there were two wins against K-State in the '00 and '01 seasons (K-State was ranked #12 when the Aggies pulled off an upset in 2000).

This is going to be a fun game to watch, and it's going to be interesting to see how Snyder matches up against Coach Fran.

We are going to pack Kyle Field Saturday. It better be a sellout...

I'm third deck, 30 yard line. Pretty good, much better than the 1st deck in the corner seats I got at the Clemson game.

Anyway, should be an awesome game, but I think the homefield advantage will in the end, give us a slight victory.

Florida is tearing it up against Arkansas right now, 35-7 in the first half.
Damn right. :D This looks to be Fason's breakout year. He's running with some good power this year. Sure, Arkansas's D is probably suspect, but he did well last week too. Dare I say, we underused him in the first half, but it didn't affect us too much. Leak is the man as usual. He's gonna be a Heisman candidate for sure. Last week was the only time he's put a foot wrong this season. Someone on ESPN said it right just now. In three weeks, this offense might be unstoppable. I think we are already. Kentucky was an anomaly. This team ran up a big score on Tenn too. We can score on anyone, our defense is our achilles heel. But this is nothing new to Gator fans. I'm feeling fairly more comfortable about Zook now that his offensive system seems to be taking flight. It was hyped before, but last year it failed in execution. This year, everything's clicking, and he's managed some numbers in line with Spurrier's old fun'n'gun. Now he's just gotta prove he can win the big games, which is where Spurrier made his bread and butter. I stand by my original, slightly-bitter, seemingly optimistic claim that we'll win the SEC. WE WILL WIN THE SEC THIS YEAR! Take a picture, write it down, I don't give a fuck. We're a lot better than our ranking right now, but at least we got the loss out of the way early. I think it might keep us motivated for the rest of the season. GO GATORS!!! PEACE.

Whelp...that might be karma biting me in the ass. :( Come on Florida, get it together. Oh, and I fucking hate Matt Jones. He's making us look stupid right now. PEACE.

Uh oh. :( Good punt...why do I even have to say this? PEACE.

EDIT: BUAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Did I mention we're still gonna be SEC champs? :D :D :D Take that Too Tall. It was his receiver's fault, but I'm getting tired of Jones having his way with out D.

I was at the FSU vs UNC game today. There were lots of people wearing Bush/Cheney stickers. It was a good time.
