I don't think we ever performed so bad during any Olympic tournament. Not a single gold medal even in our strong contests.
Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill says he has not finished his summer shopping as he closes on his sixth new face.
Villa are set to make Carlos Cuellar their latest recruit after agreeing a £7.8million fee with Rangers for the Spaniard.
O'Neill has already brought in Steve Sidwell, Brad Friedel, Brad Guzan, Nicky Shorey and Luke Young this summer - and he insists his reinforcements will not stop with the addition of Cuellar.
"If we're going to try and compete, even at Premier League level let alone Europe, we need a decent squad. So we need to keep adding quality if we can," O'Neill told the club's official website.
"We've lost Freddie Bouma and we were quite thin on the ground before that. That sort of injury can happen at any given minute. Therefore we need to try and safeguard as much as we can.
"What we've done is bring in a recognised right-back and a recognised left-back to help us. We didn't have the right-back last year but it wasn't for lack of trying.
"We've not finished. We'll still have some players coming in to give us a chance and if we're lucky enough to qualify for the group stages of the UEFA Cup that would take us right up to Christmas and we'll most definitely need the squad.
"Last season we were exceptionally lucky with injuries. Eight or nine players played over 30 games and we didn't have big runs in the FA or League Cup - therefore we were able to concentrate on the League.
"All that could change this season and the fact is that we need the squad to be bigger to cope with that. That's what we're trying to do."

Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra had to borrow £2m from former chairman John Wardle to pay staff's wages. (Daily Mail)
Uh...Although Wardle has been repaid and no staff wage payments were missed, it is clear City are operating on a hand-to-mouth basis each month.
Everyone was bitching that he hadn't come out and said anything.Executive Chairman Garry Cook has denied that City are in crisis, and insists Thaksin Shinawatra remains committed to his "10 year vision" for the club. "City's future is not in jeopardy," said Cook. "In the short term, it is business as usual. We don't rely on Dr Thaksin's money.
"When Mark Hughes makes a decision we go through the normal process, which can include banks, finance, or a whole bunch of different things just like any other club."

Fans of Tottenham Hotspur genuinely feel that this is the year when their beloved club would topple fierce rivals Arsenal as the kings of North London.

Leiweke sounds like a nice guy. Perhaps I'll invite him over for Thanksgiving dinner this year.LA Times said:Tim Leiweke, chief executive of AEG, which owns the Galaxy, said Monday's developments cleared the way for the Galaxy to "straighten the ship out" and regain some forward momentum.
"Unfortunately, you can't fire 22 players," he said, a comment reflective of AEG's considerable unhappiness with the Galaxy and the way it is underperforming. Leiweke had only recently described the team as "dysfunctional," a description he repeated Monday.
"I think they're all responsible," Leiweke said of the players. "What I told them this morning was, 'Now no one has any excuses.' I eliminated all excuses.
"Now it's up to Cobi to straighten it out with the team and on the pitch, and for us to make a decision on how we structure this organization going forward so we no longer have the split we clearly have."
