Sure I hated her and every non-sex minute spent with her, but in my last relationship the only driving I did was to Las Vegas and back (which I didn't pay a red cent for beyond gas). There are more of them than there are of us, h0pper. Embrace your inner dick!

Comment From Rapids

A Colorado team spokesman said: "There has not been a coaching change with the Colorado Rapids. Fernando is our coach and we are preparing for Kansas City on Saturday. He was running today's practice session."
Sorry, giga.

Eddie Lewis set to join LA Galaxy, Gibbs to Colorado (or New England)

Eddie Lewis and Cory Gibbs are set to come back to the Major League Soccer.

SBI has learned that the Los Angeles Galaxy are set to acquire the rights to Lewis after passing on Gibbs with the top spot in the MLS Allocation order. Lewis is set to return to MLS for the first time since leaving for Europe in 1999. Lewis will now join the Galaxy, currently being coached by long-time national team teammate Cobi Jones.

Cory Gibbs' future MLS home has yet to be decided, but new potential destinations have emerged.

Source have informed SBI that the Colorado Rapids are considering selecting Gibbs with the top allocation pick, but Gibbs wants to play for New England, which holds the No. 2 allocation spot after LA selected Lewis.

So why would Colorado select Gibbs? The Rapids could use the help defensively and there is a tie to Gibbs in the organization. Rapids director of player development John Murphy was an assistant coach at Brown University and recruited Gibbs to attend Brown.

Though that tie exists, sources tell SBI that Gibbs is more inclined to join the New England Revolution. It remains to be seen just how interested the Revs are. According to reports out of Central America, New England is on the verge of signing central defender Gabriel Badilla. You may remember Badilla as the defender the Revs were considering signing last winter. With Badilla joining Michael Parkhurst in central defense, Gibbs could potentially be the Revs left back in a four-man back-line. While it appears unlikely that New England would trade anything of value to Colorado for Gibbs' rights, the Revs would

As for Lewis, he is expected to help give the Galaxy midfield some balance by providing a dangerous winger on the left flank to complement David Beckham on the right flank. The 34-year-old Cerritos, California native is still playing at a high level, as evidenced by his recent turns with the U.S. national team. His veteran poise should also help a team dealing with plenty of turmoil following the departures of head coach Ruud Gullit and team president Alexi Lalas.
The wheels are turning, though I'm not sure how much I trust Galarcep on this.

You'd be amazed to know parents, friends' significant others and other authority figures generally don't take a liking to me.

P.S. I'd better not be a red devil!

well, she actually is graduated and working. She just expects me to "want to put in the time and effort" and get down there to see her. Especially after she's visited me the last few times. I just don't want to do it this weekend, or the next..

If I do go down there, things should get pretty interesting. and shitty.

Berbatov: I'll be a United player by the end of the week

The fee is supposedly £28million which is slightly too much, but I'm not that bothered. The same newspaper is also saying we are after Silva too and are increasing our bid to £20million, would be a very good transfer season if we get them.

Cedeo what's your view on Blackburn Rovers? I'm just trying out a theory.

Don't really have a view, top ten club, played some good football under Hughes (who I somewhat dislike in his ex-player years due to him constantly trying to distance himself from United). Ince seems to have a different management style and should be interesting, they could do very well or very bad this season. My ST holder friends say that they're always a good away to go to.

What is your theory?

I just haven't got around to it, getting used to lvl4s and getting the higher learning skills to lvl4 atm.

I really hope we don't pay £28million for Berbatov, that is rediculous. £18 damn it.

Screw you guys getting to have break ups and shoving your ability to have a relationship in my face.

Scoundrels the lot of yous.

The likely lineup of FC Twente against Arsenal tomorrow:

-------------------Boschker
Wilkshire---Wielaert---Douglas---Braafheid
Tioté---------------Janssen--------Brama
Denneboom-------Arnautovic--------Elia

Classical 4-3-3 with Janssen as the attacking player coming from midfield, Denneboom and Elia from the sides, and Wielaert will try to push into midfield when Twente's in possession.

Twente has lost their fantastic coach Rutten, and 2 very important midfielders with Engelaar and El Ahmadi, but Tioté is an excellent replacement and Janssen has been bought for more attacking impulses. Defense is quite solid, the young Brazilian Douglas in particular is a very talented defender. Boschker is quite average though (he's been at Twente since the 89/90 season).

Arnautovic is a young bright and tall central striker from Austria. He's replacing N'Kufo who is suspended for this match (both matches I believe). Very talented, Feyenoord tried to sign him but Twente wouldn't negotiate (just like Ajax wanted Wielaert but Twente asked 6 mil EUR for him).

All in all, Twente maintain their form and football ideas from last year, it's clear McClaren doesn't want to change to much (and rightfully so).

Could be a fun match, but I can't see Twente not losing to be honest.

You are
Another planet cause you are,
You stare
And kiss me from above, don't you?
Say why
You need no reason to deny
Say why you kiss me from above
In dreams your friends are sleeping
In dreams their heads are falling off
In dreams they never call you
To show you things from their buildings up above

Arsenal's midfield is going to be young and somewhat lightweight this match. Hopefully the kids step up and get the job done, but there's reason for concern. I agree that it could be a fun match. :D

thanks Falch! Appreciate the info greatly. I know of Twente, but don't know much about them. I'm not gonna lie, I'm nervous for the match, but that's because it's pretty damn important and we're going into it with some players who wouldn't normally play.

if you say we should win, ill take your word for it! thanks again

Nop problem, I can see where you're coming from, I'm nervous for any PSV match whether it's against a big team or a very small team, as soon as there's something at stake. Still, Arsenal should have no real trouble disposing of Twente. They're a team that won't hide (especially not at home) so you won't find them trying to build a human wall around their penaltybox. Instead, they try to play better football then their opponent, something which is virtually impossible against Arsenal. Twente's fullbacks are quite vunerable defensively, and you should be able to get a lot of crosses in.

I must say, Arsenal's lack of experience in midfield could be dangerous. Janssen's an experienced player, and Tiote is a defensive pittbull with a lot of fysical play (as any good African player ;)), so I'm not too sure how that will work out.

I don't really see why you would be worried. I'd expect our Carling Cup team to come back with a victory if I'm perfectly honest. It would be a tough game, but, that would be my expectation of them. Having a few young players scattered in our team isn't likely to cost us the win. That said, should we slip up, it wouldn't be bad enough for us not to come back in the home leg.

Maybe I'm overly confident though. Who knows.

I'm confident, but there's definitely no reason to be cocky. We need to play close to our best to win, as with any smaller club this is their biggest game of the season and they will do everything to stop us.

And you know how things work in Europe. You have a bad day, you're a bit unlucky, the opponent gets a nice bounce and you're down 1-0. And once you're down you're in trouble, no matter the opponent.

I still think we'll do it, our team is professional and experienced enough to do it (the obvious difference in quality aside), even though our central midfield is 18 years of age.

Keep on spending that cash, the more you layout the better the chance we have of landing Johnny Evans and by damn do we need him.

With regards to Blackburn I can see them struggling, reckon they'll miss Hughes and that they've been over achieving for a few seasons now. I just don't see them as a big enough club to sustain a comfortable top half finish indefinitely.

plus they've lost Bentley who was very good for them and Santa Clause is eying the exit as well.

Sportsmail - "United seal the deal for £25m Spurs striker"

Sportsmail said:
Dimitar Berbatov is expected to agree personal terms and seal his £25million move to Manchester United.

Sportsmail understands that the Bulgaria striker is due at United's Carrington training centre after finally being given permission by Tottenham Hotspur to talk to the Barclays Premier League and European champions.

The 27-year-old will be offered a four-year deal worth in the region of £80,000-a-week. United hope he will appear on their official pre-season team photo, scheduled to be taken on Friday.

what the hell. now i almost want them to go down

So Mama has really stopped posting in here huh?

Oh, and I'm not sure what to think of the Berbatov news. He was fantastic a season ago, but last season he didn't seem to do much, did he?

Mama might do a season preview praising Spurs sometime this week. I have heard rumours that this might happen.

Berbatov is a very streaky player, so when you see him during his good spells you'd think he's a world beater, in his (just as frequent) bad spells he looks average at best and only impresses by having a go at his teammates and complaining about every small mistake by them.

28 million is absolutely ridiculous, but if somebody pays 20 million for Keane then Berbatov is probably worth that.
