Corluka to Spurs seems very close to going down.

Definitely gonna camp out at Blue Moon today.

Isn't this just like we were linked to every player in January/early summer, meaning nothing?

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has refused to comment on intense speculation linking Vedran Corluka with a move to rivals Spurs.

Skysports.com revealed Spurs made their move for the Croatia international on Monday for a fee believed to be in the £7million region.

There have been reports that Corluka could become a Spurs player within days, but Hughes is refusing to confirm whether there has been a bid for the 22-year-old.
Unsurprised

The former Blackburn boss is unsurprised that Corluka's name is being touted around due to his undoubted quality, although he knows nothing of any deal to take him to White Hart Lane.

"There will always be speculation about good players and Vedran is a very good player," Hughes told the Manchester Evening News.

"He had an exceptional European Championships. I can't elaborate any more because I don't know a great deal about it. The news surprised me this morning."

He was bought for more money, Hughes like him, why would we sell (at least for the sum being mentioned)?

could go either way with scolari, but personally I wouldn't be surprised at all if he didn't work out and if he got the sack by christmas.

But I also wouldn't be surprised if he did well.

You can quote me on this.

Inter will play against Bayern later today.

Bayern is going to be really interesting this season. Luca Toni and Franck Ribery will miss the first couple of matches, Oliver Kahn isn't there to win them games where they should lose and they have a new philosophy that could either turn out really well or not so well. Let's not forget that this is Klinsmann's first job as a club manager either.

It's going to be a test that shows just how strong the team really is. Bremen passes the test with an A+ last season I'd say Bayern won't do so well :D

So your 50/50 on the subject.

Soccernet is reporting Rooney will miss the start of the season with a virus he picked up in Nigeria.

I'm a little afraid of this season. I was never a big fan of Jürge Klinsmann. And Kahn was an essential player for the team. this will be hard. especially because we didn't buy any new players besides Borowski and Butt :(

FFS. We seem to have a pretty easy opening couple of games, Newcastle, Portsmouth and Fulham if I recall. Our squad is suddenly is looking a little stretched for the opening of the season through various incidents. If we can come out unscathed from the first few matches then we can only get stronger in the run up to Christmas.

Not to mention that Rensing is crap. I've never seen a match of him where he didn't have at least one big blunder that could've or actually did cost Bayern the match.

Butt should be your first choice keeper.

Milan have signed Felipe, a 20 year old Brazilian keeper. He'll probably stay in Brazil this year though, probably because we still have Dida. Can someone please buy him and his expensive contract (he gets €4,5m/year!!!!!!)?

Fiorentina bought Almiron from Juventus, Viola starts to look insanely strong. Every signing this year have been more than good and they'll probably be the biggest title challenger this year.

Community Shield lineup, Carrick could be a sub and Fletcher or Gibson would be used instead.

---------------VDS---------------
Brown--Ferdinand--Vidic--Evra

-------Scholes---Carrick-------
Nani------------------------Giggs
--------------Tevez--------------
------------Campbell------------

Nani can play in CS despite being banned for the Premier League.

I can't figure it out. Yesterday I couldn't see a couple of them, but QVT could see them all. Tinypic is being a bitch right now. They all look fine from my work computer, but when I checked at home this morning a couple of them weren't working. I'll rehost 'em again, I guess.

New Bayern Munich Kit Unveiled - A Little Too Dramatically

http://www.theoffside.com/leagues/b...h-kit-unveiled-a-little-too-dramatically.html

The above insanity is the unveiling of Bayern Munich’s new kit. And as Brian at Run of Play says:

“Once the blonde starts doing her little apocalyptic roller-derby jig around 1:30, things are really just getting started.”

Not sure what Bayern’s marketing department thought they were up to, but unless the kits are made of a special magical material from outer space that makes the team unbeatable, then the whole show is a little over the top.

Ok, I'll give that a shot. Can you PM me the links for the images that are busted for you? They all look fine to me at the moment, so I don't know which ones to replace. Thanks.

Done, but I wouldn't worry if it is just me.

The top banner, the MLS icon and the first three gifs at the bottom are all broken for me.

Naw, there are more people. h0pper said the same thing last night. xs.to isn't working this morning (server is down), so I'm going to give photobucket a shot. Hopefully that holds up.

Yeah, those seem to be the troublemakers. The weird thing is that I rehosted all of those yesterday morning.

only Fernando's ripe melons are good enough for me
Ronaldo's cockyness doesn't bother me much at all. He seems like a pretty nice guy in person. I've heard a few accounts on these boards of people meeting him and he is more than polite.

When you're that good it's hard not to be a little bit of a prick.

but I would love to see him leave the EPL, lol.

All right, images have been rehosted. Let me know if you guys have any more problems and I'll fix them again. I also added mozfan's info and the Swedish League to the OP.

Premier League.

1. Manchester United.
2. Arsenal.
3. Liverpool.
4. Chelsea
5. Everton
6. Portsmouth
7. Manchester City
8. Aston Villa
9. Sunderland
10. Tottenham (Don't know why anyone thinks these are going to do well when they have lost their main striker and the other one doesn't even want to be there, and it's not like Woodgate and Ledley King are going to have an injury free season either)

Bolton, Hull and Middlesbrough to go down.

Jena and Huddlestone? *lol*

Good luck when getting attacked by a team with pace. I'm sure Bentley's and Dos Santos tracking back skills are second to none.

Did you deliberately leave out you know who?

In any case I don't think they will break into or anywhere near the top 4. Portsmouth have perhaps the best chance and I think they will still be quite a way off.

Blackburn?

I don't think they will have a chance of cracking the top three for a while.

Felipe is an excellent keeper, so that is a good signing for Milan, although they really need him this season rather than going through the year with Abbiati, Dida and Kalac. I could understand Santos wanting to keep him until the end of the Brazilian Championship in December, but the whole European season seems a little excessive.

Bale is likely to be our first choice left-back ahead of Gilberto, but otherwise you are right. I get the feeling Tommy Hudd could come of age this season with a whole pre-season of Ramos' fitness regime behind him.

These teams don't like each other and I can see Kinnear and Nicol getting their guys motivated.
You're right I was thinking merely from the money standpoint but there's also pride in winning the trophy. However, this year isn't nearly as awesome as last year because there seems to be more issues off the field. I guess we'll see how the CONCACAF Champions League turns out to find out if Superliga is even necessary.

I'm in NYC a bit later this year (October) and I thought that I'll bury the hatchett with had by taking him with me, I thought do you wanna meet up with me an had and just talk about shit, like brothers, like how we used to? We've grown apart man and I'don't like, not one fucking bit man.

I know this hotel we could use here

What d'ya say buddy?

Speak soon.

Much Love

lol wat? are you seriously going to be in nyc? or is this all just one big joke?

Why would I joke, I am coming to NYC on October the 15th for 10 days.

I'll tell had later about this, he's not ready yet.

Maybe I should wear my Ronaldo shirt and you can wear your Fabregas shirt when we meet?

xxxxxxxx
much love

I don't know if I trust you. You'll probably set me up and have some transvestite waiting for me.

I think it's better if you tell hadareud about this later.

tell him I'll foot the bill for the flights.

xxx

do you think we're that fucking stupid? This is all part of an attempt at an "ellaborate" little scheme to make us look stupid.

Like I said, you'd probably get some transvestite hooker to go to the spot we're supposed to meet and look for someone in a Fabregas jersey.

I'm sure you'd be willing to pay for Had's plane ticket too right? Wtf is your deal?

I'll come meet you. If I come across a tranny hooker then so be it, it's not like they're uncommon around here.
