Anyway, if you're having troubles joining the squad, someone needs to be idling in the lobby before you can see it and sign up.

I saw the squad in the list when I searched for it. When I pressed A to join it I recieved the message "Failed to Connect".

alright, i swore that i'd stay away from chromehounds over the weekend, but damn it i need me some chromehounds. i'mo log on for a couple hours. rally, neogaf brigade! i only ever see three or four people on there.

BEST HUMAN GAME EVAR!!!

We did a mission with 4 vs 4 at the oil fields. Enemy players had snipers and two support to engage if we got near, really fast.

We headed up to the central area, where there is the oil depots, we saw them on the ridge. I peeled of to the west while one of our guys garded base and two diverted fire. They never saww me pass the area over to their ridge and I pinned down one sniper. He called for support and there was three guys hiding behind a rock from my missles. I got a few hits on that dude and they basically hid there for a few minutes. Obviously a mistake since two of our other guys basically ran upto them from across the plain, and hit them from the side while they were totally hiding from my barrage! hahahaha

After that it was done, we took them out by concentrated fire on the snipers first, then the other two dudes remaining. Hot damn, they thought they were hot shit! They got a rude awakening from the 13th! Almost no damage to us, only superficial, no casualties.

So do you have to finish all the single player missions to stand a chance in multiplayer? I'm just going through them to collect parts but I'd really rather be jumping online and going from there. The single player missions are as dry as toast.

BTW....what country are the GAF squads on?

NIce pics in this thread. Gave me some ideas for future "Hound" configs. Also I totlally forgot you can trade Hound "Assembly Data". So if someone if your squad had a kick ass Hound and you don't want to go through the trouble of having them run down a parts list. Just have them trade you their assembly data. So if you have the parts you too can build the exact same hound just by accessing your HDD and pulling up their data. Jut sbe sure you don't accidentally erase one of your hounds (I learned the hardway), and also don't forget to rename your hounds! Keep in my your hound name is entriely seperate from your hound's data file name. NOte when you trade assembly data you're not giving it to a person your sharing it (i.e. it's just giving your squad mate a copy of yours so don't sweat it...same custom logos).

I know this is obvious info, but I've been so overwhelm with the game and the war campaign. I forgot this little fact. You can trade just about anything and I love it. When I got drop from a battle at the end my pals were sure to give me my cut of the cash. So the online interface is top notch.

I just saw posted at MajorNelson.com that this was the #3 XBox360 game on live last week (and that's one week post retail release). Sega servers have got to be hot enough to cook pancakes on. I wonder if they expected this game to be so popular so fast? :lol

you know i love this game like a hot italian woman, but i think with a second iteration some time down the line, this could be really phenomenal.

there are still somethings need sorted out and we could do with more variation in online game types 'beyond destroy the other guys'

saying that - hoping that they plan to do a lot of tweaking on their tuesday night down time slots

This is the best XBOX Live experience to date and has the potential to be a major franchise for SEGA. Of all the games I know I would pay for an expansion instantly, this one ranks at the top. Truly a work of art.

I will likely be off tonight until very late. My Dad is turning 65 and we are thrwoing a bash for him. If anyone wants to play in the morning, (Sunday EST) just let me know.

I wish I had a digital camera to take a picture of it, but I made a hound last night which through creative use of spacers is completely covered in armor plating. He only has 2 cannons for armament but it is hilariously hard to kill him. I tested him out by just parking him infront of 4 sniper ACV's and 2 arty ACV's and after 15 minutes of continuous fire I still stood. :lol

Whats the deal with those Neroismus War missions? I just made a squad so I could check it out for some 1vs1 combat. But damn that stuff is confusing...am I playing against Humans or against the AI? And how am I supposed to kill their HQ when that place is on the other side of the map and also have to defend my own HQ :p I just tried it and two times the enemy got to my HQ and it was game over maaan! So basicly its impossible to do 1vs1 missions.

Also I have some serious connecting issues to those missions. Everytime I try to connect it says that the connection failed and I get prompted back to the lobby again. I really need to buy a new router so it seems. Or is this a general problem atm with the Chromehound server?

For the 1 vs 1 missions, you might have better luck by capturing the COMBAS close to your base and then wait for the enemy to come to you. Or if you dont want to wait for the enemy to come to you, make a fast hound with a bunch of piles on them and rush their base.

As far as connection issues, run the connection test from the dashboard and make sure your NAT is open. That seems to clear up some problems.

Man I feel like such a pest but could some one post what I'm suppose to type in the search to join the squads because I went through the pages.(No one would list them for me) And tried to search but I couldn't find them.
