Official Iwata Keynote Thread

ugh, I was awake all night. no sleep whatsoever. im tired `__` if i go to sleep now, i will sleep through Iwata's speech. if i stay awake, it'll be a 'long haul'. 4+ hours.. i wanna see any new Zelda footage that might be shown and hear about what he might say about the Rev.

Doh, misread, nevermind..

edit - now that I'm here, I'll say something - these keynote times are pretty handy for those of us on GMT. The keynotes kick off at 6.30pm our time, just in time for getting home, and by the time we're going to bed all the info is out :)

I have the same issue no sleep last night

so sleepy

You guys aren't the only ones, I've been up all night, I've had to kind of force myself to stay away at the moment. Then again my sleep schedule has been fucked up for the past two weeks. I was actually on track to get back on track and sleeping normally, but that didn't work out.

Unless someone's updating us live, we won't find anything out for a good 5+ hours.
The Xenon keynote yesterday was covered pretty well; I'd expect similar updates for this one.

This isn't being broadcast live anywhere, is it? When can we expect to hear what was said?

right after the speech. I would bet that IGNcube is quick when the zelda trailer is shown.

I think most of us are expecting some DS new that will at least make the system look a little better when matching up wtih the PSP. Though, I think it's too little, too late.

I want 640x480 direct feed please, on insider if need be :) I hope the keynote videos get up sooner than the MS ones did yesterday - they weren't up by the time I went to sleep last night, so i hope this will be.

Last year at E3, www.nintendo.com had a free webcast during their presentation. There's a chance they'll do it again today, so keep an eye on their site.

The Heart of a Gamer keynote is scheduled for Thursday, March 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom of Moscone West. The keynote is central to GDC's new Vision Track, which is designed to empower developers to anticipate the future of interactive entertainment.

The GDC will feature more than 300 lectures, panels, tutorials and roundtable discussions across seven content tracks. For a complete list of GDC 2005 event information visit www.gdconf.com. Nintendo.com will have coverage of Mr. Iwata's presentation, and the Game Developer's Conference, so check back during GDC!

Even with a DS head start and the PSP not even out in two regions?

Im GMT + 4 , so I have to wait until 12:30. Im feeling really ill so Im not too sure if I can stay up, but I want to see that Zelda footgae and hopefully some news on revolution:)

I'm gonna be checking their site for a feed, but I doubt it's gonna happen. That E3 feed last year was from Gamespot (Kind of got the feeling Nintendo only allowed them to broadcast it if they agreed to allow a free non-subscriber link on the Nintendo homepage.) Doesn't seem like Gamespot is covering these events. Hopefully IGN will have a high-quality download quickly afterwards.

well Nintendo.com STATES they will have coverage up on the site.

Whatever he says should be entertaining. After all, Nintendo invented everything that we use for gaming these days. I know Nintendo couldn't ignore "online gaiming" forever. I really want to see what they have in mind.

How well did the last two Mario Karts sell on GC and GBA respectively?

That's an honest question.
Mario Kart games are always popular. In just the US:

Mario Kart: Double Dash!!: 1,830,128 (excludes bundle)
Mario Kart: Super Circuit: 2,013,756

BAH! FUCKING GIRLFRIEND!

I'm going to be stuck at her house until 7PM tonight, and she's on 56k. I'm DOOMED!

SOMEONE HAS GODDAMNED WELL BETTER SAVE THE STREAM SOMEHOW, OR I'LL KILL 30 MEN.

I'm sure someone like IGN will have it available for download. At least I hope so (I have to meet with my advisor around 1:00 and after that I headed home).

Needless to say I'm a very angry boy knowing that I'm going to miss a new Zelda trailer.

I'm on the fucking WAMBULANCE right now.

Nintendo invented the directional pad we use today, games with more than a button, analog control, rumble in our controls, etc.

I'll do you one better and record your killing spree and then edit it with the Friends theme song playing. I'll mail a copy to your jail.
