One Chef is enough. Their one-hit kill on the Chickens can be very useful at times, so it pays off to get one.

here are two shots at natural light. white ballance in the first is more true with the way it actually looked, but as they sky is very cloudy today, the actual look has some pretty cold whites. second is with a compensation, though i think it went too far into the warm end.

Does that mean that there are 6 different discs of the game... or that colored ones are 006?

All discs have that number. The classic controller had RVL-005 and other pieces of official Wii hardware have other model numbers.

i actually returned after beating Duvoc. the warp point before Jolly Bridge made it pretty easy to flank and take care of the the melon guard so i could take care of that damned scarecrow creature without the intervention of the rest.

anyway, i've been pushing outward with my new 23 man army. haven't hit the land of Glutonia yet. i want to fight either the super-mushroom or the giant red turnip monster, but i haven't gotten either of those quests. i think i might have to develop the other areas more...

I want this game so much... but right now I can't spend $50 in a game. I will buy it probably by next month, at full price... but meanwhile...

Which other similar game do you recommend me? Maybe not too much similar, but I can get Dawn of Discovery for the Wii for $20... should I get it, or should I look for another $20 game (that's basicaly my gaming budget for a couple of weeks... I'm buying a new PC).

Prepare carefully your team. You will need some soldiers and some miners. Take the ones who have the highest life point, use some items to help. The basic technique is to make a wall of soldier, meaning send them in a row to block the fat king. If it become a pinball use your miners, they will one shot him. When the screen become black, send your miners on the stone that is blocking the fork. When the stone is broken, just put the king on a diet and pray that he will hit the fork.

Don't wait for him to roll down to the paddle - throw your guys forward in a line so he bounces off them higher up the board. When you get the flashing lights, send all your troops up he middle of the board. Repeat as necessary and keep fingers crossed.

I doubt BB will carry it, but TRU should have it.
It's just one of those games that is going to be pushed aside. A real shame, but that's the life for most MMV games in NA.

Remember if you're near a Fry's that it's $39.99 there through Monday. Bought the last copy at the Burbank store there last night, then promptly stayed up until 3:30 playing. Super charming, love the music. Just now gearing up to go take out the Ooni king—definitely not going until I've prepared enough troops.

Finally got a copy of this game that works.... and WOW!!! This game is amazing!


I just got my Royal City area of the kingdom. I figured out an awesome strategy to kill the Giant Mushroom, once you use it he's super easy. Very possible to never get hit by him. I ended up having only three guys get hit, and nobody got poisoned. No deaths!


Now I just gotta figure out what to do with this melon patch area... and I just found out that you can actually fail quests :lol Didn't realize they had a time limit on them.


Game is incredibly addictive though. Gotta figure out a melon patch strategy or something...

This game is aaaawesome. I definately feel the Harvest Moon vibe, which is great, because that is one of my favorite gaming series ever. Addictive, simple fun (simple once you know what the hell you are doing... took me forever to figure out how to find more gold the first couple of days). The humor and charm is great too. Finally have a reason to play my Wii again

Yes, this has been bugging me as well. I went to the beach where it supposedly happens, but there is a lot of driftwood/wreckage in the way. On the other side are giant crabs. Do I have to wait until later in the game to get over there?

Yeah, you need special classes to get past the blocks.
And the people that wash up are automatically added to your Carefree adults.

1) Sometimes it's tied to a sidequest (the mushroom, for example), but most of the time, you just need to continue the story to get jobs specialised in removing certain obstacles.

2) You don't expect the people to stay on the shore all day, do you? They'll return to their day life (meaning that they'll be added to the citizen pool once again), and you can summon them at the podium again.
