yeah, my thought on it was at or around the beginning of september.
first off i'm hoping they might patch the salary cap/contract thing and that takes some time. for instance if we got a 100% guarantee from ian that the patch was going to go through in mid september then i would wait until then to start. it can't be stated enough how important that will be. otherwise, i'm going to have to come up with some system for free agency and player contracts which is going to be a real pain in the ass.
secondly, as improved as the game seems there are going to be those among us that just aren't feeling it and the additional time will allow people who hate the game to drop out before it starts rather than after.

i'll never understand how you can play as the chargers.... what's the difference playing as the raiders!? if anything you should hate the chargers MORE! they've won the division for 3 or 4 years straight!

And I'm not a diehard anything fan in NFL. Yes, it was charmin soft for the Seahawks. I still kind of like them, but it's not like it is for the rest of you. But, if it keeps me from being stuck with the Lions, Sorry Blue, then I would take the Seahawks
