This. Had no connection problems, never once worried about "RRoD" for PS3 (which did happen to my 360 finally during what would have been the Madden season, if it was on 360 and I was still in at that moment)

How many times did you play Luke again? And that glitch only happened at his home. When we tried it and I was the Bucs, it worked.

We played at Ray Jay. At Lucas. We tried every thing, nothing fixed it. And I never played Luke because WE COULDNT PLAY! It was shit, and I'm glad were back on 360!

Whatever. Worked when we tried it. I'm glad we're on 360 too because now when there are connection problems, people won't flip out because they've got nothing to blame.

my problems with playing on PS3:

1. i fucking hate PSN. call it a connection problem on my end, but for whatever reason ON MULTIPLE CONNECTIONS i've had problems being randomly logged off

2. having to update the slow as shit PSN updates (which is apparently due to me using wireless... even though my 360 is wireless too and isn't nearly as slow)

3. less people in the league

4. xbox 360 controller >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ps3 controller

but ps3 wasn't HORRIBLE, it's just the little things that annoyed me.

This. I thought it was just me at first but after 2 other friends who had both versions asked me if I noticed more onine lag on the PS3 version I knew something was up. It's really like other 3rd party comparisions, you won't notice playing it alone but when you put both versions side by side you notice it right away. When I would go from playing a PS3 league game to the 360 the lag was the first thing that jumped right out at me. More lag + loose analogs controllers kept me from being able to have any user skills on the PS3. I look forward to everyone being on 360.

The problems with the PS3 version were overblown and hyperbolic. Was the 360 version of the game a bit better last year? Sure. But not leaps and bounds like some posters are making it out to be.

From reviewing FMT's list, most of that stuff is personal preference rather than objective and universal faults of the PS3 platform. I'm wireless too and I don't have an issue with download speeds or random disconnections. On the flip side, I get random connection errors on my 360 telling me to open my NAT every few weeks for no reason.

The reasons for doing a PS3 league were (and continue to be...) sound, and this move back to 360 appears to be a concession that FMT wants to have the biggest league possible. While the threat of system breakage haunts me every time I load up my 360 (I'm on my 7th, no BS!), I'm good to go. We all need to pray to "Sweet Baby Jesus" that don't have a repeat of the epidemic that ravaged the leagues in Madden 08.

BTW - NCAA 10 demo is live

RRoD led us there. but i'd rather deal with that then the ps3's problems at this point. worst case scenario your team is on auto-pilot while your 360 is getting fixed. i'll come up with tiers of players who i think fit and they will be your backups.

for instance lets say a 1 star player (mrbob) has his console go down then another 1 star player (dmczaf) will fill in for a couple games or whatever. problem solved. or we could have the 2 star CPU fill in

and lets not forget the awesomeness that is live scoring updates in madden 360! why isn't this in the ps3 version? all you see is that Matrix is playing madden, you dont see the score or quarter of the current game he is playing online. bogus!

I read somewhere that if you buy a new Arcade 360, it won't fail because they finally fixed it, is that true? I never bought a new one after mine failed.

The hardware is better yes, but it can still happen. Just not nearly as common honestly.
