I'm gonna have to back out of the Auction league, just got asked to fill in for someone in another work league and the draft is Wednesday. His spot was already paid for so possibly free money for me, but something came up where he couldn't participate.

That one FF league I 'm always in, that no one pays attention to, did that ever get off the ground???

League starts on the 9th? I might be available in the early PM on Friday, but I'll be gone most of the Saturday (season tickets woo), available really late Saturday if I don't fall asleep, or Sunday.

I hope they release some details from the roster/stat updates soon. I want to see where Dak ends up because if it's good enough that I can start building him up through skill trainer stuff that'd be nice to know.

Wow if we waited until after his week 1 game where he will throw for 6 TDs and 500 yards he would be prob in the low 90s. Oh well!

I wish, but that won't happen. Zeke may run all over you guys though, but your Giants will win that game just like they're going to win the East (at 9-7).

Not sure what alternate dimension you're living in. There are a few certainties I know in my life:

1) The Yankees will make rookies or career minor leaguers they see for the first time look like prime Pedro Martinez

2) The Giants will make a backup QB look like prime Dan Marino.

Maybe we should have a cease-fire on poaching people off of practice squads until after week 1.

There might be worthwhile players on some practice squads and they could get taken before their owner even accesses the league to potentially sign them to the main roster if they wanted.

I mean it's possible that you're right, maybe Dak will play huge in his first game, but I still see the Giants winning the East. Eli will bounce back this year.

i've been begging for over 5 years.
Hey Drizz I have surgery scheduled in the morning on 9/12 so I'd prefer to play our game on Saturday or Sunday night after 9pm.

Honestly I feel like the entire practice squad thing is going to get ugly if people forget they have a young talent developing, and then log on to find that someone
me
snatched them up because they had some stupid good stat and are specialized in a specific role

I wouldn't mind if we simply had practice squad be an extended development spot for teams considering the need for some teams to get new blood up to speed before the league ends, but that's just me.

its not going to get ugly at all. practice squad will be filled with players who will never see the field, just like in real life

I feel like on a 53 player roster you already have enough shitty players. I'm not sure if I'm going to give any fucks about people poaching my practice squad guys but maybe there's some practice squad cheese I have not learned about yet.

1. as has already been said, you don't even use the 53 on your roster
2. you don't even have a "full" offensive line roster as a real nfl team would because no offensive lineman get hurt in madden
3. if you are that concerned about a guy being stolen from your PS then put him on your roster

Before we start the league can we lay down some ground rules?

I know we've introduced manual catching in the past but that was on deep throws, what are we doing this year? Last year, I often clicked on the receiver and hit the corresponding icon, never moved the WR around. I hate these fucking icons, feel like I need to click on to activate even though I may not have to.

I just meant for week 1. I'm not sure if there's anyone valuable on the practice squads, but in case there is, I just figured a 1 week buffer would be a good way to prevent hurt feelings.

I'm just trying to protect the chilluns.

You just have to hit the button when the icon pops up, no need to switch to the receiver.

I feel like I'm getting burned hard switching to a DB also this year, just gonna rely on the button hits!

You can click on them and then the icon. No issues there!

lol, both draft kings and whatever the hell the other is called are so close to going belly up, fucker had to come sniffling back to madden.


Also I absolutely hate when TEs have numbers in the 40s which always happens if you don't fix them. It's my pet peeve.
