After watching Maguire splooge over Leclaire, I am ok with the trade now.

and Vermette did have a really shitty season, and we got a second round pick as well.

Yeah, I've come to terms with it too. I'm still ticked that we lost Vermette though, would much rather have lost Chris "stone hands" Kelly and his shit contract instead.

Haha, listening to my oilers loving brother talk himself into the greaser trades as, as it is every year, awesome. Twenty minutes into the conversation you'd think the Oilers had traded for Gretz, Kurri, Messier and a time machine to 1987.

The best part was him talking up O'Sullivan (a good player) and getting really excited about him, and then being able to say "yeah, american kid playing in LA, enjoying the hollywood life gets traded to Edmonton, I'm sure he'll do great and be just ecstatic to be there" and then hearing Ray groan.

• Montreal: They got defenceman Mathieu Schneider to help Andrei Markov on the power play before the deadline, but they badly needed a big first-line centre, and they struck out. They were in the Jokinen hunt. They’ve been looking for size in the middle for 10 years. They’re still looking.

Fleury is ready for 70 + games (if he can stay injury free). I say save the money and give the job to Curry on the cheap. That kid had some decent skills in his callups

Nah it is mostly from the people who pay for his rumours and use his forums, he has got a good scam running there.

Anyways the Leafs did pretty much what they were expected to. They still got way too many defenseman, some of them have to go at the draft one would think. I'll miss Moore and Antropov hopefully Antro is back in the off-season and Moore gets paid by whoever probably not us due to him wanting Jeff Finger money.

In other news Jiri Tlusty continues to destroy the AHL, 2 goals and 4 assists on the night which is an AHL best for points in a game this season.

Since January 30th: 16 goals, 18 assists and 34 points in 15 games.

was watching tradecenter yesterday and one moment after Calgary got Jokinen, a comment was said that summed it up very well for our Habs.

Someone: "How come the Habs are not moving, it's their 100th season? They promised big things to the fans"

Someone: "Well there's always next season, the 101th season"

*they all burst into laughter*

Aw well, I don't even expect them to get passed the first round. The system Carb is playing with this guys just wont cut it. The habs are a skilled and fast team, they need to practice a puck possession system, not a freaking dump and chase system, we're not a big team for christ's sake...

...except that yesterday was the first time I'd ever really paid substantial attention to his site, and that was just for kicks. I don't subscribe to the guy and don't click on any ads. I try to avoid him as much as I do watching Don Cherry.

They weren't really making fun of the Habs. Well other then Pierre who seems to have wanted them to do something big.

They bust out laughing because he said 100 and oneth season instead of the correct 100 and first.

I can't believe we got O'Sullivan and a Kotalik for freaking 20 games of Erik Cole.

Cole sucked bad.
I remember people telling me he was as good as or better than Ryan Smyth.

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
Bruins get completely outplayed at home by the Coyotes, only a day after they traded away practically half of their team. Just pathetic. This team has just been so lazy and sloppy the last few games.
