Pulling out an 8-9 year old internet personality now? Eastern time zone vs Pacific time zone maybe? I dunno..look it up one time. If the Sharks were playing the Ducks in the Eastern time zone just like the Wings did today, they both would have attained the 100pt level at the same time. Wings started 3 hours sooner ending just as the Sharks were starting, both games starting at 5pm. If the Sharks played at 1pm pst they would have finished before Detroit anyways and it wouldn't be any different.

The fact is that the Sharks did it faster than Detroit. I'll give you that they did it on the same day, but thats about it. Your a smart guy Mike, you should be able to understand all this.

I can't believe Robert is trying to tell me that the Sharks hit 100 points before the Red Wings. If, if, if, if...come on, man. It's a great plateau, congrats to San Jose and all but let's be real here.

Went to the Sharks vs Ducks game today. Goddam, the Ducks suck, they left me disappointed. Although, the fight in the first period was quite entertaining for a casual NHL fan like myself.

Hopefully Canucks and Columbus can tank a bit before the end to make it more interesting.


I wouldn't mind pairing against San Jose in the 1st round.

so my mom graduated university in 1972. i graduated in 2005. she was 23 when doing so, however i was 22!!

so, robert, i believe you´d agree that i graduated before my mom!

put differently, as mike basically indicated, should you respond to me within the next five hous, since i´m in madrid, you will have apparently subverted the space-time continuum. tread carefully

Wow man :lol . Really all the Sharks have going for them is irrelevant accomplishments? I guess being #1 in the league for almost all of the regular season doesn't mean anything right?

I hope we don't play Dallas or Edmonton(if they make the playoffs). Both of those teams seem to be the death of the Sharks when they play.

Robert, really, let me lend you a hand.

All you have to do, rather than trying to change the evidence toward your conclusion as you have which is not working at all, is to try and argue something different. Change your claim, change the language.

That is, the Sharks reached 100 points in fewer games than the Wings*. Simple. Not that they were the first team to do so, because no amount of effort, save actual time-travelling, could make that possible. They simply weren´t and pointing at GP is not at all persuasive.

* While ultimately meaningless, there is some irrelevant merit

Nah I just like to defend my team. I'd rather be wrong in the end supporting them than be a doubter the entire season and playoffs.

I'm a huge Wings fan and I'm on the Sharks' fans side here. They reached 100 points in fewer games and will probably end up with the Presidents' Trophy. On the other side, I agree with whoever said that ending the season as the team with the best record really doesn't mean much. Home ice is nice, but run into a hot goalie and it means nothing.

We're coming to the end of the year, and I'm curious to know who you guys feel is coach of the year. My vote:
