I'm shocked no one has posted what Paul Silas said to a reporter about Boozer after their game with Utah where Boozer didn't play or show up on the bench.

Reporter: "What do you think of Carlos Boozer?"
Paul Silas: "See You Next Tuesday"
Reporter: "Don't you mean tomorrow?"
Paul Silas: "Spell it out...That's what he is...see you next tuesday (for the slow crowd C-U-Next-Tuesday)"

Cavs fined him $10K :lol

Seeing the animosity in Cleveland over Boozer is just pathetic. Crying that you didn't get a player for below market value is absurd. *You* made the decision to cut him and try and re-sign him to a longer contract that was still below what he could make on the market, and then you cry about it?

Wait, wait-- Kobe told someone ELSE to "stop crying"? He of the "Kobe Yelp" every time a player breathes on him? He of the "I've made more FT's than FG's"? He of the "I bitch after every call I don't get, even when I don't deserve it"?

Wow, that's balls. :lol I hope Wade goes off for like 40 next time they meet, which will be next year. Wade's better than me-- I would just been like "so you're not only overrated, but whiny too?" :p I would've added a "HEEEEEY" for good measure. :D

Btw, both Kobe and Shaq made an effort to give a pound to each other at the beginning of the game, but Kobe's came early and Shaq didn't see it; by the time Shaq turned, saw Kobe and extended his hand, Kobe had walked by, figuring that Shaq had snubbed him again. I was a bit miffed about that-- would've been cool to see some sort of reconciliation. :)

Oh please....When did 2nd year players start getting free passes to whine about "non-calls" on veterans on national tv? Wade couldn't do anything against Kobe one on one so he starts whining :lol

"Kobe's a good player but he's not invincible, the refs need to start calling fouls on him"

And that's after shooting like 10 fts in the half. How ridiculous is this kid? :lol

If Melo or any other media-hated young player said that, they'd be called arrogant...

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.

They wouldn't have cut him if they didn't have a verbal agreement to resign him. He would have still been under contract had they not released him, right? While he may not have done anything illegal, I don't see how you can defend him that much.

They weren't going to cut him but they wanted to sign him to a 1year ripoff deal. Sure, he'd have got a max deal the next year but what if he got hurt? You think they'd still pay? Hell, no! I don't blame Booze one bit...

Hey, I'm one to side with players over managment... but I thought he basically verbally agreed to a contract in order to get them to cut him.

It's against NBA rules to verbally agree to anything (which he denied anyways) before a certain date in the Free Agency period so the Cavs couldn't accuse him of that without admitting to league violations :lol

Dude-- Kobe fouls. A lot. That's a big reason why it seems sometimes that people "can't do anything one-on-one against him." Don't kid yourself. Let him play a guy for the entire game like that and he'd be fouled out.

When I watch him go into "aggressive defense" mode (you know, those couple of minutes each game where he actually tries to play defense), I cringe, because I've never seen a supposedly top-tier defender get away with so much reaching, holding, and bumping in my life. Seriously-- it's worse than Bowen.

I'll never forget a play last season (I made a post back then about it, unsurprisingly :D)-- Kobe had switched out on some other elite guard (I forget who-- maybe Iverson) and was pressing up on him near halfcourt (you know, when he used to have Shaq back there to save his ass once he got burned :D), and the guy was holding the ball and hadn't used his dribble yet. Kobe had both arms straight out on each side of the guy (like a hug w/o clasping the hands. Anyway, he was like that for about a few seconds and then the guy made his move; Kobe still had his arms out straight, illegally boxing the guy in, and the ref called him for it for using his outstretched arms to impede the offensive player's motion. Kobe did the usual Kobe chuckle-- you know, the one he does whenever he gets whistled for a call, since he never actually thinks he's fouling anyone. I was sitting there going "is this guy freaking KIDDING me!?" :lol

It was seriously the most blatant foul I've seen in years. And he does similar stuff all the time.

As for your remark re: Wade's comments, well, Kobe's "stop crying" wasn't said in response to that-- unless you're asserting that Kobe was listening to Wade's pre-halftime interview somehow before he walked to the locker room? If it was in response, then that's fine, but I don't see how Kobe could have heard what Wade said in the interview before he met him in the tunnel going back to the locker room for the half.

Wow, so you've been bashing Kobe without knowing the full situation? Why am I not surprised? :lol Kobe overheard the interview and said it jokingly but Wade (I guess Shaq's been in his ear) took it personal and said "shut up, you don't know me"

Bryant, according to Wade, told Miami's second-year guard ``Stop crying'' as the teams were preparing to leave the court following a first half in which Wade was often agitated over non-calls.

Well if that's the case, then Wade was in the wrong, especially if Kobe said it jokingly (which neither of us know for sure). However, you can't fault me for assuming-- after all, how many players from opposing teams stick around and listen to their opponent's halftime interview before heading to the locker room for the break? Very unusual, and I couldn't have anticipated that.

I remember what happened last time the Lakers put in the call for Master Plan 2.0 in 1994

Jeez, could they foul Eddie Jones any more? That's worse than what Kobe does! :D

I hate goon-like players who play like that, with their hands.

I'm usually with the athletes when it comes to disputes, but there's no denying Boozer screwed the Cavs. They wouldn't have let him go without there being some kind of understanding beforehand. Anyhow, it's Boozers loss. The way him and Lebron plays, they could co-exist while both being stars.

edit: I knew that Wade quote would strike a chord with Loki. :p

Man, Reggie's an assassin! But not in the usual way. Taking Lakers out like flies. :D

Btw, gotta love Kobe's complaint to the ref that Jim Gray just reported. Hey Kobe-- "stop crying." ;) :p

Only way to stop Denver right now is to take out Marcus Camby. Kaman's got the LA fans covered though.
