What comes to mind for me are the walls in the caves. They looked unusual.EekTheKat said:MGS3's art direction just has no equal right now. I mean literally, everything just clicked so well that nothing stood out as particularly a standout.

After beating it, I REALLY want to play around withthe Boss's moveset in the regular game. Holy shit she does a lot of cool stuff if you fight her hand to hand.
Though I see why they didn't give you her moveset though, she's the boss after all.
And really, I can sort of see how it can be worked into the CQC mechanic as well, with most of the actions being context sensitive and all. But I would LOVE to own some guards head on with some of the moves she did.
God I wish it was an unlockable though, that beating the boss gave me with that moveset was just so humbling.
The ending was genuinely touching, I haven't seen such an emotional ending in anything in such a long time.
EekTheKat said:omg something else they improved over the demo :
I capped a guard in the legs, woke him up, and he actually healed himself first before getting up and walking away
EekTheKat said:Okay maybe this part is just me being tired that night but, this is something else semi freaky about the Sorrow :a guard snuck up on me by accident, so I freaked out and emptied a full clip from the M16 into his crotch.
The odd thing is later on during the Sorrow river walk, I swear the very same guy I shot in the crotch walking down the river, right about at the same point too from counting the bosses. He was the only guy through the whole game that I shot in that manner.

evil ways said:Yes,it's probably the best way to get his camo by using the tranq gun
Insertia said:Are multiple environments still in? I seem to recall Kojima saying there would be snowy mountains and other environments.
Mr Mike said:Not sure about this, but are all the men that walk towards you representative of the exact number of people you've killed in the game? The game does keep a count, so it's possible. A lot of the ghosts I saw had their necks cut - my most used CQC move.
Doc Holliday said:KOjima basically said "ok bitches STFU here is the best MGS game ever!" All my complaints from mgs2 have so far been addressed:
Better Environments!!
More and cooler bosses!
Longer game!
Better Story!
No raiden!! even betterYou get to kill him and watch him walk around like a fool in the afterlife. Not only that he confirms what we all new about raiden...that he was a fairy lol. I just finished fighting the SOrrow..omg..cant wait to see how the story unfolds.
Kuroyume said:You can kill him? WTF? When I killed him I got ascreen and I had to restart. Anyway it's funny how he"RAIDENKOV is DEAD":lolruns into the bathroom to hide if you punch him. I ran to go get him and the bastard did his side flip and a roundhouse kick on me. :lol I knocked him out and dragged his ass upstairs to the locker. I loved Raiden so I'm glad Kojima had him in the game; it's really funny stuff, the gay thing and all.
whytemyke said:Just finished boss fight with the End. Arguably one of the best boss battles I've ever played. The amount of graphical detail and programming that went into that battle is just remarkable. Having to find him by the glare of the sun off of his scope and the directional mic to listen for his breathing? Awesome.

I haven't. I am loyal to The End, to my purpose...
That speech was in the trailer, but isn't in the game integrally (or at least, is a little different). Hasn't anyone noticed?
Maybe the role of The End was suposed to be more important than it turned out to be?

My thoughts exactly. That nuclear explosion scene for example, was just *begging* to be pre-rendered, but they just went ahead and did it in-engine like the rest of the cutscene. It's obvious Kojima didn't limit his imagination to "what could be done on a ps2", and his crew just went ahead and did it; no matter how long it would take or how many tricks they had to pull.

Oh, I just remembered. Was there ever a time you could use Raikov's "water" tip on Volgin? I looked around during the fight with him, but I didn't see any. I guess I'll just throw a fish on him next time. :lol
