NFL version of the Redskins. I think they need to sign more 30+ year olds.

Regarding the "Dream Team", its funny the one player who if starting would assure no superbowl is the one who started the term. Eagles D still has holes and Vick needs to survive a full season. And pay DeSean his money, his fragile body has earned it.

Eagles need a tailback. Jonathan Stewart's still on his rookie contract. Asante for Stewart with picks/pieces to fill in the gaps would make a lot of sense for both teams - especially in this (seemingly) new era where player trades actually work out.

Hooray new cap rules.

Highly doubt we'd be willing to trade Stewart.

Packers are the deserving favorites until further notice.

There's a group of Eagles, Saints, Falcons, Giants thereafter in some order - knock on wood regarding injuries.

I'd say something about the Eagles having garbage linebackers, but that's always been Reid's MO in Philly. They spend money and draft picks on the line* (Douglas, Kearse, Cole, Patterson, Bunkley) and secondary** (Dawkins, Vincent, Jones -> Sheppard and Brown -> Now Aso, DRC, Samuels). Then they put a thumper in the middle of the defense (Trotter, now Bradley) and put journeymen around him.

Trotter was a good 2 down linebacker, but that's the only name I'm coming up with off the top of my head. Stewart Bradley's alright when healthy. Dhani Jones, Williams, Gaither, Matt [something].

*Not that they all worked out.
**They were a good duo in the mid-2000s, especially when Michael Lewis played over his head and Dawk was a monster.
Like I said before in this (ridiculously fast moving) thread, the Saints, Colts, and Giants won recent super bowls with garbage at LB. The best guy on all those teams was Jonathan Vilma, Pierce was probably the next best guy.

It's fallacy to state that a 4-3 team needs quality LBs if it wants to go far.

Brandon Marshall has borderline personality disorder apparently
According to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Marshall has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.

“Anytime there’s conflict it’s a challenge,” Marshall said. “What I’m feeling or trying to get across is right, but I’m reacting wrong. My actions or what I’m saying is not effective or productive and it makes the situation worse.”

As a result, Marshall has been undergoing expensive and extensive treatment. And it’s much more involved than simply trying to calm himself down.

“Count to 10! What’s that going to do?” Marshall told Kelly. “I’m still angry when I’m finished.”

I don't really understand why they picked up Anderson. Am I missing something?

He looks like Frodo. Elway has a thing for the LOTR. Going to have Anderson cerry around his BluRay nboxset.

#Ravens deal with CB Chris Carr was 6-years. #Jets had interest as well but couldn't close a deal.

Another CB the Niners didnt get.

Oh and Jet GAF, tell Rex to call Cromartie and offer up some fellatio to sign.

Replacement for Gaffney? Who knows.

We have quite a few WR. I wonder how he fits into all this.

Well as long as he keeps it safe from Al Davis, I will be happy.

Rex is gonna have to throw in a yrs worth of foot rubs to land Cromartie. Amazing that there really aren't any corners left, I hope the Jets can lock him up.

Giants finished their first practice tonight. Chris Snee did work at Center (mainly because Baas can't practice until the 4th). Coughlin liked what he saw and he sees Snee will continue to get work at Center all through camp.

Clint Sintim was working with the first team LB's in the SAM position. All linebackers were on the field though including one set that included Greg Jones, Herzlich and Jacquian Williams. It's obvious the Giants have no intention of signing any linebackers this offseason. Reese believes these young guys should step up and it looks as though the coaching staff is going to put their asses in the fire this season.

Aaron Ross registered the first INT of the day, picking off Sage Rosenfels on a short pass to Jernigan.

Jernigan and Hixon were both fielding punts. Speaking of which, Matt Dodge had a good practice booming punts all day with some registering between 3.39 and 4.73 seconds hangtime. Hate all you like, but the kid has a leg on him. Hopefully he can steady those nerves.

Osi was in the building but did not take his physical. He will be doing so tomorrow. He has not spoken with the media on his situation as of yet.

The Prince is the only rookie not on the field. He hasn't signed as of yet but Coughlin wants him in as soon as possible.

False alarm on the Panthers/Samuel front:

@carolinagrowl Updating an earlier tweet, I spoke with a reliable source that tells me the Panthers are NOT interested in trading for CB Asante Samuel.

@carolinagrowl CB Asante Samuel too expensive for Panthers after recent spending spree.

So whos had the most disappointing FA so far? Bears? 49ers? Ravens (they've made hardly any moves)? Bengals? Raiders?

9ers or Bears, 9ers because that division is so winnable, and Bears because they could have been a playoff team this year with just a few moves.

49er's easily. Have they signed anyone? I know they have lost a few.

Vikings haven't been great, traded for another old QB and lost our best receiver, as well as Edwards, both in their prime.

Philly still has 8.7 MILLION dollars worth of cap space to fill? Numbers were posted by someone at PFT.

Seriously?
Without restructuring Vick's Franchise tag and making additional cuts.

Edit: I'm not sure what the number is, but the Eagles supposedly has cap credit from last year.

They will also free up money once they get Vick off of the franchise tag. Banner is by far the best in the NFL at managing the cap.

Edit: damn beaten by seconds.

Anyone know of a site that sells obscure nfl jerseys? I want a Tom Waddle jersey(WR for Bears in the early 90s) and I don't want a new stichted one. I want an old screen printed one.

Why is that a surprise? We are masters at managing that cap. And I don't think we'll have a problem with getting Jax/Vick signed to new deals.

But they haven't resigned djax right? That's going to hit em hard.

I dont think they will. Eskin today said they still hold DJax's rights after this year so they are going to let him play out this year and then franchise him.
