Yeah, chances are slim and none I'd say. I'm interested in the waves this Baron Batch kid is making. He went toe to toe with Silverback in the one on one drills. I'd love for him to supplant Moore as the 3rd RB.

Baron Batch played RB at Texas Tech, he probably forgot how to take a hand off.

Also the Seahawks are apparently looking at signing Zach Miller. Man our TE depth would be pretty sick if Miller signs.

I think Chris Polian completely blew it in free agency. We keep fucking DIEM and get rid of CJ??? Get rid of Session???

I get the feeling it's going to be 2008 all over again. Rough out the gates and pray that Manning can work some magic as he gets more time in after an injury.

I agree with all of this. Diem was AWFUL last year. If he was coming back as a backup working for the veteran minimum, thats one thing, but it looks like he's going to be starting. Ugh.

I liked Session, but knew he was gone. Thornton, June, Peterson... the Colts just dont value LB that much, especially considering the amount Jacksonville gave him.

I hope Manning is feeling good by week one, because we are going to need him. The AFC is a rough crowd, and I think this might be a very rough season for this team. Hope Im wrong!

Raiders resigned Kamerion Wimbley to a 5 year/48mill with 29 mill in guaranteed money......that's more money than what Nnamdi got. Al Davis, I hate you.

I thinking Moore might be training camp fodder.

Batch is apparently busting his ass, but still stuttering in the backfield.

Haven't heard a thing from the tall receivers yet.

Nnamdi didn't leave because of the money, he's ring chasing.

That Kam contract seems ridiculous, but I bet it's not all that it seems. He probably has to post up certain stat numbers to get the full deal. Like that contract Nnamdi had.

Nnamdi is ring chasing but I have a problem with Al Davis is being the usual old senile Al Davis in signing 1 year wonders to massive contracts.

Routt: 20 million guaranteed
Wimbley: 29 million guaranteed
Unless they both prove me wrong and put up all pro numbers next year. Wimbley is getting paid Patrick Willis money, we all know he's nowhere near as good as Willis.

You would be gay with half the nfl?

If half the NFL was comprised of 6'5, 235 lb chiseled studs who ran 40's in 4.3 seconds then yes....but only in that alternate universe where I'm gay.

So Charter's getting NFL Network, but I'm not getting my hopes up for actually being able to get it here.

They still didn't have NFL Network?

Eagles, Watkins Agree To Terms

Awesome! Besides improving the D, the best thing the Eagles can do is improve the god awful offensive line from last year. Yeah Vick will stick take hits, won't slide, and run around a lot but last year was just terrible.

Is Maclin still fighting mono?

Has anyone heard anything about the Pro Football Prospectus for this year? Isn't it generally out at the beginning of August?

2:29 p.m., @ProFootballTalk: "It's a four-year, $12 million contract with $4 million signing bonus for Mare. A kicker.''

2:46 p.m., @ProFootballTalk: "Of course, Mare hasn't actually 'signed.' He agreed to terms. Which gives Panthers two days to come to their senses.''

2:52 p.m., @jayfeely: "NBC gave a lawyer w/no football experience a big contract.''

2:58 p.m., @ProFootballTalk: "@jayfeely ... At least we have something in common. Neither of us has actually played in an NFL game.''

3:52 p.m., @jayfeely: "now you sound like Skip Bayless. Come to camp, see if they can find shoulder pads small enough for you & we can find out''

If it had been horribly mangled Michael would have done the honorable thing and lifted it over his head and slammed it to the concrete.

Dead.

Thing was probably expensive. He should get all the utility he can.

LOL, the Charter twitter guy responded to my NFL Network tweet telling me it'll be available nationwide.
Maybe they should get digital channels working properly first, sick of seeing "ONE MOMENT PLEASE: This channel should be available shortly" on half the digital channels.

Associated Press reports that Matt Light's contract with Patriots is 2 years, $12 million, with $7 million guaranteed.

Braylon Edwards helping his free agency bid.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/08/01/braylon-edwards-has-another-brush-with-the-law/

According to FOX 2 in Detroit, two people in Edwards’ entourage were arrested after allegedly assaulting employees at a Birmingham bar.

Per the report, Edwards’ friends got into an argument with the employees. The dispute made its way into the kitchen, and one employee was “sliced with a knife.” The wound required 14 stitches to close. Another employee allegedly was attacked with a fork. (Alas, the Placesetting Trifecta was not completed, possibly because Braylon dropped the spoon.)

Also, Rob Ryan speaks his mind as only the Ryan family can.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/08/01/rob-ryan-vows-to-beat-the-ass-of-the-all-hype-team/

“These are proven players, and that’s what we need,” Ryan said. “I don’t know if we win the all-hype team, I think that might have gone to somebody else, but we’re going to beat their ass when we play them.”

Ryan didn’t mention the Eagles by name, but I think it’s safe to say that’s who he was referencing. And with that, Rob Ryan has given us a brash statement that even his brother Rex will find it tough to top.

God I love the NFC East rivalries.:)

Jesus, Rob Ryan looks like a vagrant. The Dream Team line was dumb, but hey, it's Vince Young. Rob here is just mad because we stole Asomugha from his greasy paddles.

I'd love Osi on the Lions

As would I but a 1st round pick is WAY too much to give up for him. The team is a key injury or two away from 4-12 and picking top 3.
