Counting on a defense that cant stop the run(indy) and a much improved Texans D to do that. So your ok with your franchise player coming off a second neck surgery to be protected by potentially 2 rookie tackles?

And I didnt want to come off as a homer....

manning is the best QB in the league at avoiding pressure. he can survive a worse o-line, even if he will decline (that and age).

intangibles, motherfucker
When i read things like this in an article:

Which Receivers Are Stepping Up?

Minus DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, other receivers have had extended reps in practice. Riley Cooper has had a terrific camp once again. He is playing faster and is catching everything that comes his way. Sinorice Moss has been outstanding -- quick in and out of his breaks and very reliable catching the football. Can he stay healthy and sustain his production?

It quickly invalidates the whole thing for me

Not with those two losses being to the 16-0 Jaguars, they don't.

You know we're both going to be 15-1 with both games going down to the wire ending up 24-21 or 21-20.

So who ends up with the number 1 pick in next years draft? Bengals seem to be a popular pick? Any other contenders?

Browns
Broncos
Bears(really shouldn't be here, but are significantly worse now than last year)
49ers(Luck-Harbough)
Dolphins
Seattle

EDIT:Yep, forgot about Seattle.

I wouldn't be surprised if Moss actually did look good in Philly. Their system is currently fit to the speed of their 1/2 receivers, if someone were to tell me that Moss was lighting it up in the second team z I'd believe it. His biggest problems here were that he was always hurt and there was always depth in front of him.

I know its very old news but so stoked that Titans signed Ruud. Much needed help on D.

I think you'll soon find out why teams with dire LB needs now and at the start of FA (Eagles, Giants, Lions) didn't bother with him.

Redskins? Unless they've done something in the past 48 hours I've missed.

No way the Browns are anywhere near the #1 pick. Their schedule isn't too bad this year. They are anywhere from 5 to 8 wins this season (my hope is 7-9 finish).

Cromartie's a nice player and all, but Asomugha he is not.

This.
I'm happy we got one of the two at least. Cro played well last year and wasn't afraid to disparage Dark Lord Brady with his silver-tongued eloquence.

At this point I've moved on to being curious at how Wilkerson will do. If he's the real deal....

Oh yeah, and Ducasse is another question mark that concerns me.

11 teams still have $20 million or more in cap room

Leading the way are the Bengals, with more than $41 million in cap room. The Jaguars have more than $34 million.

And the bronze goes, surprisingly, to the Browns, with more than $30.4 million.

The others are: the Buccaneers (more than $30.2 million); the 49ers (more than $30.0 million); the Chiefs (more than $28.7 million); the Broncos (more than $26.7 million); the Bills (more than $26.5 million); the Bears (more than $24 million); the Cardinals (more than $23.6 million); and the Seahawks (more than $21.2 million).

Same here. Really excited to see how both Wilkerson and Kendrick Ellis can do. I think they are both rookies that the jets believe can make immediate impacts this yr and I hope they are right.

Also watching that wr kerley we got, hoping he can step up

Really? I find that hard to believe after signing Landry, Session, Posluszny to decent sized contracts. Are those numbers up-to-date? Lewis will get a hefty contract in the next few days as well.

As it turned out, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was one of the first to notice his decline last summer. A league source said Brady was so concerned about Moss' lagging work ethic that he discussed it with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick in training camp. When Belichick decided that Moss would be fine, Brady became even more agitated after Moss dogged it on a couple routes during an early-season win over Miami.

According to the source, Brady told Belichick during that contest that the team could keep Moss but the receiver wasn't going to be seeing any passes again. Moss was working in Minnesota within days of that conversation.

I thought this was interesting.

WR Andre Johnson was carted off the field. He was holding his hand. I'll get an update to you asap.

So another big fantasy year for Mr. Tolbert.

Yeah. :/ I feel like we have just enough press about Mathews' shortcomings to do a Mathews/Haynesworth comparison piece. Who is the #3 in San Diego now that Sproles is out, btw?

Yea we need to lock up Lewis. He was a big time third down converter last season.

Johnson was bumped after colliding with rookie CB Roc Carmichael. Johnson came up shaking his hand and pulling on a finger.

First, Johnson left the field pulling on a finger. Then he went to dressing room. I figure he got an x-Ray.

Sounds like a finger issue, nothing more. Move along people.

6th round rookie out of UCONN, John something. Worth drafting with all the Matthews health/fumbling issues.

Breakdown of Bradshaw's contract with the Giants:

http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/...=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter&utm_term=#nyg

Now take a look at how that contract breaks down, per someone who has seen the details of the deal:

SIGNING BONUS: $5 million

BASE SALARIES

2011: $1.5 million (guaranteed)
2012: $3 million ($2.5 million guaranteed)
2013: $3.75 million
2014: $4 million

WORKOUT BONUSES: $250,000 each in 2012, '13 and '14

So that makes Bradshaw's salary cap numbers:

2011: $2.75 million
2012: $4.5 million
2013: $5.25 million
2014: $5.5 million

Niners and Harbaugh are tanking this year to get Luck. There is no other explanation for the resigning of Alex Smith. They'll probably let Frank Gore holdout as long as he's willing to not play, just to really make sure they have no offense.
