Tampa went and over paid their first round and fuck up the scale a bit, obviously the picks ahead of Tampa's pick wanted more money...

Then that is your own fault...you dink. You directly quoted one of my posts and responded to it.ryan-ts said:Right....
You responded to my post which was intended for Lunchbox, not you. I don't think Peyton will be remembered for choking while Lunchbox does. My post was not comparing Manning vs Brady. It was simply a post to stay I think Manning won't be remembered as a choker. Don't be such a dink.

What upsets me more is anyone dogging on ANY of the great QB's in the league right now, it's like they're only allowed to like 2 or 3, and have to make up nonsense about the others.Lunchbox said:and compare the people manning has been throwing at his entire careers with marvin harrisons and reggie waynes always at his disposal. while brady won his bowls with no names and a non existent run game. the only time brady has had any receivers was 07-08 and he put up 50 TDs.
people just cant except that manning is a choke artist, they know but jealousy and bitterness wont let them admit it

Edwards >>> Burress big time, and losing Cotchery (if they do) doesn't help. Who do they have to fill that slot? (Literally, I don't know, Jets fans help me out here).
The only saving grace is if Tom does in fact take the spot as a third down back, letting Greene take the majority carries, AND he blows up. I'm not convinced just yet, and I don't think LT has another 2010 in him.

Former New York Jets and Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini is joining ESPN as an NFL studio analyst, the network announced Thursday.
He will appear on "NFL Live," "SportsCenter," "First Take" and other programs throughout the year and also will contribute analysis on ESPN Radio and other platforms. He is scheduled to start Aug. 17.
"Eric brings a wealth of knowledge from his experiences as an assistant and a head coach," said Seth Markman, ESPN senior coordinating producer for NFL studio shows. "Eric is one of the smartest football people I've ever been around. Adding him to our roster will enhance our ability to give viewers the best available analysis on the NFL from all angles."
Mangini became the youngest coach in the NFL when the former Patriots assistant took over the Jets in 2006. In his first season with the Jets, he led them to a 10-6 record and a playoff berth after the team finished 4-12 the previous year. The Jets missed the playoffs the next two seasons and he was fired.
Mangini was named the Browns' coach in January 2009. After two consecutive 5-11 seasons, Mike Holmgren replaced him.
Mangini worked as an ESPN guest analyst during the 2010 NFL playoffs.
"I am excited to join the ESPN team for the upcoming season," he said. "With my reputation for access and ease with the media, it seems like a natural fit. I am always impressed by how knowledgeable fans are and by their passion to learn more about their team, the league and the strategy of the game, and I hope to add meaningful insight.
"As for my new role, I have been preparing diligently, by picking out tribal tattoos for my lower leg and doing triple shots of espresso to match Herm Edwards' energy level."

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) Eagles trainer Rick Burkholder said defensive tackle Mike Patterson has a brain condition that may require surgery.
Burkholder said Thursday morning that Patterson is undergoing further tests. The 28-year-old Patterson was hospitalized after suffering a seizure Wednesday morning at training camp at Lehigh University.
"In medicine today, there's tons of options," Burkholder said. "Everybody wants to jump right into surgery and I'm not saying for this particular case, I'm saying with everything, but there's so many other avenues out there. It would be foolish to speculate what's going to happen to Mike."
The 6-foot-1, 300-pound Patterson has been diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation (AVM), which is the tangling of blood vessels near the skull.
"We're pretty sure it's what caused the seizure and we're pretty sure it's not football related," Burkholder said. "It just so happened at football practice. It could've happened anywhere."
The trainer said Patterson is on medication to prevent another seizure, and anticipates he'll be released from the hospital Thursday.
It's unknown when or if Patterson will return to the Eagles.

Pretty much gone the way of Mike Mamula/Jon Harris/Jerome McDougle as early-round DE busts. Hope Brandon Graham doesn't join that illustrious crew.
Futurevoid said:Details of Kiwanuka and David Baas' contract with the Giants"
David Baas: A 5-year deal for him worth $27.5 mil
Mathias Kiwanuka: http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2011/08/giants_contract_with_mathias_k.html
A look at the breakdown of the deal:
SIGNING BONUS: $2 million
BASE SALARIES: $1.75 million (2011), $4 million* (2012)
WORKOUT BONUS: $250,000 in 2012
ROSTER BONUSES: $300,000 in each of the two seasons
*$500,000 of Kiwanuka's 2012 base salary is guaranteed. But my understanding is that doesn't mean a whole lot because, should Kiwanuka get hurt again this season, he's covered by the new $1-million injury protection clause in the new CBA.
Salary cap numbers for Kiwi:
2011: $3.05m
2012: $5.55m
