KC @ ATL - This one is hard. KC has lost their last 10 games, and Atlanta sucks.
OAK @ BUF - Lane Kiffin is still the head coach! The only HC that Al has fired in his 40 years was Mike Shananan... and he still owes his money. Buffalo coming off a great win at Jacksonville. Impressive.
TB @ CHI - Could be a good one, but both teams have a lot to prove.
CAR @ MIN - Minnesota is 0-2, they need a QB and Steve Smith is coming back. Carolina is back.
MIA @ NE - Miami got stomped on by the Cardinals. NE is winning games without the Lord Savior.
CIN @ NYG - Cincinnati seems to be falling apart while the Giants are continuing where they left off, no-one is talking about them but maybe they like it that way?
HOU @ TEN - Damn what's goin on with Tennekey. Collins won on Sunday, but will it continue? BTW, Good luck to all people in the Galveston/ Texas area. Have a feeling Texans will come out fired up.
ARI @ WAS - Arizona is leading the NFC's best (worst) division. Washington is 1-1 and still better.
DET @ SF - Going to be seeing a lot of this Kitna!
33xtvl4.jpg

STL @ SEA - Ew. But seriously Seattle didn't have their 3 starting WR's and almost beat us, impressive gameplan.
NO @ DEN - Great game. Denver at this point is one of the best in the AFC, and NO needs to prove they can win an away game.
PITT @ PHI - Another great one. Philly fucked up a win on Monday Night, and Pittsburgh is definitely the class of the AFC at this point.
JAC @ IND - Have a feeling Jacksonville (0-2), who are coming off a loss to Buffalo will win this game to keep their hopes alive in the AFC. Indianapolis is coming off a great comeback win though.
CLE @ BAL - Cleveland has scored 1 TD so far this season, best MLB in the league Patrick Willis will probably score his 2nd on Sunday. Flacco FTW.
DAL @ GB - How good is Aaron Rodgers and will he be able to handle Dallas? I don't think so. Dallas goes 3-0 and loses their first playoff game.

8/15 Last Week, 17/31 Overall.

KC @ ATL - Falcons better not let me down this time.
OAK @ BUF - Ok, maybe the Bills are pretty good this year.
TB @ CHI - Bears at home after a close loss? I expect to see Gruden's head raised on a pole.
CAR @ MIN - Sorry, Vikings, 0-3 for you.
MIA @ NE - Yeah, ok, should have known better than to think such a stacked team couldn't lose a QB and be fine.
CIN @ NYG - No contest.
HOU @ TEN - Titans without Young at home seems like a winning combo!
ARI @ WAS - Edge to the hometeam.
DET @ SF - If the 49ers can beat us at Qwest Field then they sure as hell can beat the Lions at home.
STL @ SEA - Surely we've ratcheted down the difficulty enough by now!
NO @ DEN - Hard pick. Either Saints lose thanks to egregious officiating errors or Broncos collapse without aid from the refs this time. I tend to think the deal is up now after that fumble call.
PITT @ PHI - Another tough call, but fuck it. Even if Reid can't run a two minute offense to save his life, it might not come to that!
JAC @ IND - Jaguars too battered to win.
CLE @ BAL - Uh....
DAL @ GB - It's still warm!
NYJ @ SD - Favre favres it up... again.

Go Panthers!!

Last Week: 8-7 :(
Overall: 18-13

KC @ ATL -Both of these teams have sucked ass so far. But at least the Falcs lost to a team where the QB threw over 55 yards. PROTIP: If you throw for less yards then years your owner's been alive, you suck hard.

Unless you're Buffalo. 'Cuz that bastard's OLD.
OAK @ BUF-See above.
TB @ CHI- I believe the Bears should be in contention for a Playoff spot. They won't get one, but they'll contend. Like when a girl just broke up with her boyfriend, and she texts you every night and says how cute you are but when you wanna get together, she's like "Oh i'm busy" or "I really have quite a spot of homework to do" and you just wanna get some head and she's back with her boyfriend the next week.

But I'm Rambling. Bears by 14. Rebecca, you're a fucking bitch.
CAR @ MIN-Superstition compels me to say the Vikings, even though I had a 45 minute convo last night that ended with my friend and I agreeing that Tavaris Jackson would be a backup for 7 of the 8 CFL teams.
MIA @ NE- Ah, Miami-the only team that calls Mel Kiper for advice in September.
CIN @ NYG- The Giants are officially in the longest Pre-season ever.
HOU @ TEN- Must suck for the Texums that Katrina made the Saints temporarily America's Team and put them back on the football map, while Ike simply made thier field soggy. Women.
ARI @ WAS- Kurt Warner would be the coolest dad ever. "Oh, you don't wanna do your homework? Here, watch me throw your PSP 100 yards. Tell your sister if she goes past her curfew again i'll have Deuce Lutui eat her."
DET @ SF-If there was a choice between being forced to watch this game and a knife fight with Ray Lewis, I'd grab a switchblade and be on my way.
STL @ SEA-I just think this would be funny. It's like if you lost your job, wife, and everything you hold dear, and then just to top it off, your dog tells you he has AIDS. And you're shocked, because you didn't know he could talk and there's all these unspoken conversations between you.
NO @ DEN- OK, Ok, you're good Denver. I'll admit it. All i'm saying is, let's make sure Cutler's taking Insulin. We get sloppy and the next thing you know Merriman will be saying how "sugar makes his tummy hurt."
PITT @ PHI-I'll take the one with the D, thanks. Plus, who knows what kooky end-game scheme Reid's gonna come up with this week? " Alright McNabb, jam the ball directly into your uretha then cut to the left. It's foolproof!"
JAC @ IND The Jags don't have an O-Line. They have the cast of the next season of The Biggest Loser with helmets.
CLE @ BAL-Do not look behind the curtain! These are not the paper champions you're looking for!
DAL @ GB-If the media blows up Rodgers' head anymore, he's gonna go up for the Lambeau Leap and just float away. And never come back down.
NYJ @ SD-This'll be the worst beating Favre's recieved from A Whale's Vagina since Mike Holmgren made him run stairs in the 90's.

KC @ ATL
OAK @ BUF - Wild Card team!
TB @ CHI - Orton + good defense = fun
CAR @ MIN - Childress deathwatch. Steve Smith catches 15 balls
MIA @ NE
CIN @ NYG
HOU @ TEN - Mario Williams laughs, then loses
ARI @ WAS - Boldin/Fitzgerald annihilate secondary before late season slide
DET @ SF
STL @ SEA
NO @ DEN
PITT @ PHI
JAC @ IND - I don't see any possible way we win this game, but I just can't pull the trigger!
CLE @ BAL
DAL @ GB
NYJ @ SD - LULZ

Question to fantasy GAF...

I'm thinking of dropping Matt Cassel and picking up JTO. JTO has a favorable matchup coming up against the Lions and I was thinking a plug and play would be good this week for my QB situation (my normal starting QB is McNabb, but I don't know how much I trust him against the Steelers). Halp??

KC @ ATL - The Falcons want to prove Week 1 wasn't a fluke and will dominate the Chiefs.
OAK @ BUF - Do I smell a Bills resurgence a la the late 80s early 90s? No....too early for that...but they're gonna be at 8 wins before Week 15 this year, which is a huge improvement.
TB @ CHI - Griese commits a turnover or two and Tampa begins their slow descent into the cellar of the NFC South.
CAR @ MIN - Firing on all cylinders, has plenty of guys whom opponents have little game film to plan on...the return of Steve Smith will open up the run game even more. Panthers could be scoring 28+ in a lot of games this season.
MIA @ NE - The first shocker of the season. Pennington is clutch, at least for this game.
CIN @ NYG - Yawn. Must be nice to have such a cupcake schedule to start the season.
HOU @ TEN - Houston may be fired up, but Tennessee's D is ridiculous. Also, let's not forget how the Saints were when displaced by Katrina. When the Texans make their first home game after the stadium is fixed, then, look out.
ARI @ WAS - The imminent return of Reed Doughty will doom the Skins to blown tackles and poor seam coverage. Boldin and Fitzgerald have 1 TD each at least, Pope might even get one. Warner keeps the turnover count to 1 or 0 and the Cards pull out a 7 point win.
DET @ SF - Calvin Johnson, Lions MVP. SF keeps it close though.
STL @ SEA - Steven Jackson, Rams MVP. SEA keeps it close though.
NO @ DEN - Saints secondary torched by Marshall/Royal.
PITT @ PHI - Tough tough call, but I have a feeling Eagles will want this one more.
JAC @ IND - Can Jags overcome injuries?
CLE @ BAL - The Browns HAVE to win sometime, right? ......right?
DAL @ GB - Overaggressive Packers secondary gives up 100+yards in pass interference penalties, D-line and linebackers have no answer for Marion the Barbarian.
NYJ @ SD - Not even close, Norv Turner will go for the throat. I think he may have snapped.

Ugh, Jets let me down a bit this week. 9 - 6 isn't so bad, though.

Let's pick 'em:

KC @ ATL. Matt Ryan returned to Earth. This game should help him get back up there.
OAK @ BUF. Bills are machining people offensively; LOLkland is still LOLkland.
TB @ CHI. Neckbeard education spree continues.
CAR @ MIN. Tavaris Jackson is just...yeah.
MIA @ NE. It's the Fish. Really, guys; c'mon.
CIN @ NYG. Giants come in on the way up. Bengals are falling apart.
HOU @ TEN. After being battered by hurricanes, Texans'll step it up.
ARI @ WAS. Kurt Warner appreciation thread to be made after this game.
DET @ SF. Because even the Niners aren't the Lions.
STL @ SEA. Rams defense is porous. Just what the Seahawks needed!
NO @ DEN. Jay Cutler has big, brass balls. So does his head coach.
PITT @ PHI. Tough pick - but as long as McNabb is crazy, I'm gonna go with them.
JAC @ IND. I've decided that this is the week's upset game. Word.
CLE @ BAL. Tossup.
DAL @ GB. Rodgers will play well, as will the Packers - but the 'Boys are too strong.
NYJ @ SD. Dueling gunslingers! This is a test for the Jets here.

Wow, most people are picking Philly.

I kind of agree with Livewire that the Eagles probably want it more. Lose and they go to 1-2. And I am not sure if the Steelers have ever won in Philly.

Well, first time for everything. :D

Wait what?

Eh, just watching him... He's not that impressive. Plus, looks like New England is more inclined to run the ball now. Also, I'm secretly a 9ers fan, and it's made me root for JTO to do well.

Livewire,

The Skins have basically the same schedule as NYG do, except Saints/Panthers and Lions/Vikings switch-up.

Cupcake early, but strong later.

Ill play this week, missed the first two

I have no idea how anyone can pick the Jags to win, unless it's through simple ignorance of the state of our offensive line. We have lost all the interior starters, most of them for the season. The number one backup at guard has a sprained knee. The number one backup at tackle has been shot, and if the rumours are right will never walk again, let alone play football. We're so desperate we've started signing offensive linemen who are already injured simply because they're less injured than the guys we already have.

Not rebuilding time, though - next year should still be good if we can get some semblance of a line back. It's easy to panic given the way things are going right now, but we started against two good teams, and nobody in the league can be expected to do well with that many injuries on the OL.

Well, first time for everything. :D

I could have sworn their 2004 game, the one where Hines did the TO/Eagle celebration, was in Philly. It wasn't, but I could have sworn it was.

I'm just happy to see a few non-Steelers fans going their way. I'm sure Jackson will have one big play, but I suspect that will be all. If the Steelers can control Westbrook, and judging by the first two games I believe they can, then it's going to be a long night for McNabb.

Though, I respect Westbrook far more than I do Jamal Lewis and Ahman Green/Amos Zereoue Jr.

I also drafted JTO as a backup in one of my leagues to McNabb. JT ended up scoring more points this week for me (stupid DeSean and his dropped ball at the endzone along with that horrible last Philly drive at the end). I plan on starting JT this week as he has the more favorable matchup, barring any significant injury news with Pittsburgh's defense. I think the Eagles can win, but I don't see McNabb putting up huge numbers.

Idunno, anyone who had the Jags as pretenders at the beginning of the season has to be in denial or not paying attention.

iapetus said:

I actually gave the wrong quote, I initially said that David Garrard is a fraud. It's true that your line is currently horrid but Garrard has failed to bail out your teams running game with his arm. Teams are stacking the line and daring Garrard to beat them in the air, unfortunately for the Jaguars, it seems to be a fairly effective game plan.

KC @ ATL
OAK @ BUF-Right now they look great to me. I can't wait for to watch them some more, I think they're a huge threat to Pittsburgh this year.
TB @ CHI
CAR @ MIN-I like Minnesota, but they've fucked some things up and Carolina hasn't.
MIA @ NE-lol
CIN @ NYG-see above times two
HOU @ TEN
ARI @ WAS-Rock on Arizona, I'm rooting for you this year.
DET @ SF
STL @ SEA
NO @ DEN-Saint's offense is going to be solid.
PITT @ PHI-I'm a Pittsburgh fan, but I think they showed they're vulnerable. Not to mention Ben's shoulder. And not to also mention how fucking awesome the Eagles are. Super Bowl preview.
JAC @ IND
CLE @ BAL-Cleveland's gonna start to get some momentum, but only because they NEED to.
DAL @ GB-Look for Aaron Rogers to have a decent game, but Dallas is too good for him.
NYJ @ SD-I think it's going to be a third week in a row epic fail moment for SD.

It's made a lot more effective by the fact that anyone who tries anything tricky like trying to walk through the middle of the offensive line can get a pressure or sack.

He was never going to have the year he had last year, but nor was he going to be this bad with adequate protection.
