bruce just happened to be open. you think we actively use isaac bruce as our main weapon? lulz. you should be more worried about bryant johnson. he seems to be getting healthy and getting open pretty easily. we'll find out!

p.s. but if isaac bruce has another 150 yard game against you i hope you realize that is an L in the w/l column for you guys

He's not your main weapon, but he's the one who did the most damage in that particular game and made the difference between winning and loosing for you, the others were negligible. He "happened" to be open because the secondary completely underestimated his (and JTO's) abilities. Won't happen twice.

Uh, of course it would be an L. It was an L the first time right?

NFL-Age, i need you to help me settle an argument. Was talking to a filthy Cowboy fan friend of mine, anyway we got go the topic of Sean Taylor and i said that at the time of his death he was easily our best player and my friend thought i was crazy and said both Santana Moss and Clinton Portis were better. Tell me my friend is a jackass.

i say that because it doesn't matter what your offense has in the 2nd meeting. you aren't going to put up 30 points on us again. and i doubt nolan gives hasselbeck the luxury of NEVER blitzing.

but i suspect your D will be ready for us as well. but if you had told me before that game that gore was help in check, vernon davis held in check, and JTO was sacked 8 times i would say we lose that game. just shows we can beat you with different people!

i kind of feel bad now in retrospect because of how i worded it...i think i said something like "If i had the choice i'd much rather have Santana Moss die than Sean Taylor.". We then turned to discussing which player on the Cowboys he would be alright with letting die. It was quite disturbing really
and yes, he chose Roy Williams, preferably by electrocution

Thanks for the memories. One of my favorite players to ever play for us.

Your friend is a jackass. Now, I don't follow the Redskins anymore than the information that ESPN & NFL related podcasts provide, but I drafted Clinton Portis as my starting fantasy running back last year, and my roomate(also my first cousin) had Santana Moss in the same league. While Marijuana has led a William Wallace-esque assault on my memory, I do recall Portis at the very best reaching a peak level of average for the first half the season , before forcing me to pick up Laddell Betts in favor of his Mr.Glass injured ass during the second half--and my cousin cursing Santana Moss' piss poor production every week in lieu of the 4th round draft pick he spent on him.

Also during that time I remember the one bright spot for the Skins being that Sean Taylor finally figured out coverage & zone, thus he just might be the best defensive player in the league according to the entire PTI, Around The Horn, Jim Rome, Bob Ley generic Sports Writer.

Edit.....some one post that video where he genocided that kicker.

Clinton Portis said:
"I think they began to play dirty," Portis said. "They cheap-shotted Randy [Thomas] early on in the game unnecessarily, then they were getting away with some things, you know, the extra pushing. And I think one time Santana got tackled, if you see the guy get up he kneed Santana in the face when he was still on the ground. They brought all the extra activity to the game that wasn't needed, so we just let them know, we CAN play the same way.
"We really want to do it within the rules, and I think you seen Stephon [Heyer] lay [Darnell] Docket out, wipe him off his feet, and the ref want to throw a flag. I think it was a legit call, but oh, that's unnecessary. But they do unnecessary stuff, and they never said anything about it. Like [Dockett] tackling me and pulling my helmet, or jerking my head back: that's unnecessary, because if I get hurt or I took a cheap shot at you and one of us mess up the other's career, then it's like, 'Oh, he tried that intentionally.' But all game you been pulling face masks and doing the extra stuff after the play, so I think the refs just need to pay attention to that."

Cards are dirty!

Easily Sean Taylor. I don't even think it's debatable.

That's not fair. Just because Matt Jones hasn't been convicted yet, we lose points. :(
Don't worry, the great thing with football is that there is always next year (though the way the Steelers offensive line is playing this might not be true for Big Ben and Sandwich).

Now I hate the Cards, you know this. But can we really trust Clinton Portis?

I think we can!!!!!

Prediction: If we beat the Cowboys, Portis will bring back the costumes, and for at least one of the weeks, Zorn will dress up with him.

Texans Wide receiver that suffered a neck injury in preseason gets an autographed ball by former Giant teammates.

Wide receiver Harry Williams, who suffered a career-ending neck injury in the preseason, was at Reliant Stadium doing some rehabilitation Wednesday, and he saw he had received an autographed football from his former teammates with the New York Giants.

“Some of my old teammates from the Giants and all the wide receivers signed the ball and sent it to me. That’s very classy right there,” he said. “It means a lot. It means you meant something to people, and when I was up there, I was good to them. When you are a good person around people, people don’t forget things like this when you have trying times like this.”
Classy.

Hey, at least you have an offensive line...

What... Uche Nwaneri, Dennis Norman and Milford Brown dont get you PUMPED UP!

They're Jaguars offensive linemen. They're not long for this world. Sure, I like the guys, but they're about to rupture their biceps, or have pianos dropped on them, or fall off the edge of the world while on a boating holiday or something.

Do we?

I am not so sure about that. There are definitely some guys who are fat and stand in front of the qb, but offensive lineman are supposed to block defenders. 9 sacks makes our guys look more like spectators.

I like the Texans chances this weekend going by how many people are picking the Jags. We always do well when no one expects us to do shit.

If that were a criteria, you'd think you'd have made the playoffs once at least.

I picked Houston for the upset last week and it didn't work out for me. I'm picking them to lose from now on until they prove they can win.

Fantasy question: Who should I start at QB this week?

JT O'Sullivan @NO
Jake Delhomme vs. ATL

If only we were in the NFC south or NFC west(or before this year the AFC west). :(

Well then it looks like you were part of the problem then!

No, we should have won the game, we had 3 dropped TD passes by two previously very sure handed receivers. (Johnson and Daniels). Our defense stepped up in the second half and only allowed 88 yards and a field goal, but our offense was anemic in the red zone, which is out of character as the last two years we have been in the top ten in scoring in the red zone.
Houston fans want to blame Schaub solely, but everyone on offense was shit last week, not just Schaub.
Football fans are idiots, we have people calling for Kubiak to be fired, Schaub to be benched, jfc.

Fantasy Football-Age:

Should I take a deal in which I give up Eli and T.O. for Hasselback, Donald Driver, and Randy Moss?

Right now my biggest weakness is at reciever, but T.O.'s a sure thing, and Moss is falling off....

Plus, I don't even know if i'd start Hasselback as my QB2 over my current backup, J.T.O Sullivan.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't do it. You need receivers but you are giving up your best one. If you need WRs you should be trying to trade RBs, QBs, or TEs for them.

God no, don't do that deal. Moss is about to fully enter the tank, and Hasselback has been a huge disappointment for me thus far.

Well, they can run block, and the left side seems to be doing...ok. Simmons and Colon are utter failures, though.

Of course, Kemoeatu got hit with at least one false start, which in and of itself isn't the end of the world, but on top of all the sacks it becomes just laughably bad.

I also don't understand why they paid Max Starks so much as a transitional player for him to back up Willie Colon. But that's sort of getting into another discussion.

damn, I knew I wasn't going to get the fox early game (not that I'd watch it anyway since it's on at the same time as the first battle for ohio), but I don't get the second one, either. that sucks. oh wait, now that I see it's washington at dallas, I think I'd have more fun just reading cowboys-gaf's overreactions to everything during the game.
