Love how Hab writers need to make jokes to take away from the disaster of their own team. LOL

BTW i fucking hate Canucks so much its not even funny anymore. They are draining my SEL club on talent. Panthers signing Markstrom i can live with but the nucks signing Läck and now Rödin isnt okey. Rödin is staying one more year before he leaves though. This is a really god signing on your end, this is probably gonna be his breakout year. This is a guy that moves his legs more then anyone ive seen before. I just love him...:,(

Unbelievable, I knew my team sucked, but not this bad:

Brooklyn-born Alan Seewald, who trained Uptowncharleybrown in his four starts, died suddenly in his sleep on April 12. The night before, Seewald had watched his beloved New York Rangers miss the NHL playoffs by losing in a shootout to the Philadelphia Flyers on the last day of the regular season.

"He was such a die-hard New York Ranger fan," Hutt said. "That day before they played the Flyers, Alan was giving smack to all the jockeys and trainers from Philly. Right before that game started, I asked Alan, 'What are you going to do if the Rangers lose?' He smiled and said, 'I won't go to work tomorrow.' And he died that night."

Was Rodin with Brynas last season? What were his numbers like? I thought he played pretty strongly during the WJCs, but I can't find any stats otherwise. And are you saying he'll be in Sweden for 10-11? I thought he was gonna be at the Canucks training camp

http://blog.rogersbroadcasting.com/nothingbutleafs/2010/06/04/phaneuf-jerseys-with-c-on-order-in-new-design/

TORONTO (June 4) – If you are wondering whether the Maple Leafs will follow through on their plan to make Dion Phaneuf captain, consider this: A National Hockey League licensing contact, who has been nothing short of reliable through the years, tells me he’s been given the go-ahead to add the ‘C’ to the new Leaf jerseys he’ll be distributing with Phaneuf’s name and number on them. The altered uniform design is expected to be unveiled during a joint press gathering, at which Phaneuf will be officially named the 18th captain in Leaf history, and the first player to wear the ‘C’ since Mats Sundin departed after the 2007-08 season. It is anticipated that Phil Kessel will also be on hand at the media conference to show off the new uniform.

An unconfirmed whisper has the unveiling scheduled for June 15… the Leafs to enjoy a seven-day marketing exclusivity before the jersey is available in all retail outlets the following week, June 22.

As most Leafs fans expected Dion will be named the next captain.

He was in the second league on loan for a part of the season but spent most of the time in Brynäs. His stats werent that great:p 5 points on 36 games but dont let them fool you he didnt get that many minutes, hes done alot of points in the juniors and he sure is working hard. During the playoffs he was part of the best line and scored 4 points in 8 games.

I have a source in Swedish, a local newspaper, in wich he says that he is playing in Brynäs 10-11, both he and Vancouver thought that it was the best thing to do.

At least the new Leafs jerseys are being shown Monday, then its only a week and a bit to the draft and then free agency a week after that..............then it should be nice and hot every day to make me forget about how bad the Leafs were.........then late August will roll around and I'll get way too excited for pre-season..........

Hey, careful. It's the wife that ultimately pays for our insults.
Well, I must not have made my post as clear as intended. I thought it was obvious I was congratulating NostradaManics on his ability to identify fraudulent junior stars, Hall is a sure-fire bust once he hits the NHL.

Now that Marvie and him are involved, better safe than sorry

:lol Welcome to the NHL thread for this season. You have a new active ducks fan to watch your dvd with!

What are you talking about? Only us Winnipeg Jets fans here.

...

Ducks third jersey announced this season. RIP logo-less jerseys.

Also Bobby Ryan for Kaberle rumors = :(

I don’t want Tomas Kaberle under any circumstances. He’s a decent, kinda sorta okay PP QB and that’s about it. ES Kabs is a liability against 4th liners. Burke has been trying to move this guy for two years and can’t find a deal? That alone says it all.

Kaberle has a NTC and has said he doesn't want to leave Toronto. That's why no deal has gone through for him.

The Ducks trademark is having a shitty jersey, its where they get their POWA!

And I own 3 of them, don't hate on the Mighty
Yeah, their jerseys have always been pretty ugly. I do own one of the purplish ones from around '03. Never wear it though. :lol

Video-game related, but fuck me NHL11 looks like another surefire hit.. Reworked physics, broken sticks, DISALLOWED GOALS!

Toews in the Winter Classic jersey is the cover figure apparently. Two Blackhawks in two releases? A bit weird.. But I definitely don't disagree with it (would've liked to have seen a Sedin or Scott Neidermayer though).

I'm sure you're all for it though eh Marvie :D
Way ahead of you buddy.

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
Cam Neely will be named President of the Bruins tomorrow. He's my favorite player ever, so it's pretty cool, but the team hasn't had a President in years anyway.

pretty exciting stuff for hockey in nashville (despite his 2 nhl hall of fame lineage)

-2010 Hobey Baker Award winner is the first Tennessee native to sign an NHL contract-

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed 2010 Hobey Baker Memorial Award winner and Brentwood, Tenn., native Blake Geoffrion to an entry-level contract. Geoffrion is the first Tennessee native drafted by an NHL team (56th overall by the Predators in the 2006 Entry Draft) and first to sign an NHL contract.

I haven't been following the World Cup thread as close as I'd like to, but weren't there about ten posts celebrating Forza's ban?

And Rapping Granny is banned too :/
And Takeda Kenshi, although he doesn't post as much.
And funkmastergeneral is still gone, his ban is a long one

I think someone said that Manics/Forza were at least banned until the end of the World Cup Final, don't know exactly how long though.
NHL-GAF is dropping like flies :(

In other news, the Canucks resigned Aaron Rome for 2 years/1.5 million (total)

Well the World cup ends July 11th so they'll miss the draft and the start of free agency.

Also Detroit signed Valtteri Filppula's older brother Ilari.
