What the hell, the Ducks trade Rucchin to NYR in exchange for a no name enforcer and conditional 3rd round draft pick. What's the point.
To rip out heart and soul.

How about you just send me some money considering I was at Game 7 in the Minnesota series AND the Calgary series.Wolf said:Mike or Bish, do you two have a charity or something setup were I can donate money toward the medical bills that must have piled up after all the mental trama?
I'm very surprised that you're surprised.Tedesco! said:Really? The Canucks over the Leafs? Why's that?
He's got to make it to the playoffs first, remember that. I still have money on Hasek leaving before January.calder said:It's the playoffs where having Hasek as your #1 goalie ensures utter disaster.

Thrashers' Nurminen all set to retire
8/24/2005 10:38:35 AM
On a day that the Atlanta Thrashers savoured the acquistion of All-Star forward Marian Hossa, the team also received some bad news that goaltender Pasi Nurminen has suffered a possible career-ending knee injury.
Thrashers General Manager Don Waddell said Tuesday that Nurminen suffered the injury while working out to get ready for the coming season.
Nurminen signed a two-year, $2-million US contract with the team two weeks ago.
"He suffered a very serious knee injury to the extent that it appears he's going to retire," Waddell told reporters Tuesday.
In three NHL seasons with Atlanta, Nurminen has a 48-54-12 record with five shutouts and a 2.87 goals-against average.

Wolf said:2)If I draft a great goalie, lets say brodeur, is there a need to draft another great goalie(theo, khabibulin) or would that be a waste of a pick?
It has nothing to do with hate or spite. On paper, the Leafs appear to be worse than any other Canadian team. I don't care what happened two years ago, especially since the records weren't so far apart.Manics said:So the last time we had an NHL season the final standings for Canadian teams looked like this:
Toronto 103
Ottawa 102
Vancouver 101
Calgary 94
Montreal 93
Edmonton 89
Now everyone seems to think the Leafs have gotten so bad as to finish dead last amongst Canadian teams?
So many Leaf haters out there....so sad.

And that was before the new equipment rules.dem said:Luongo... is... overrated...
This has to be a joke :lolRocket9 said:And that was before the new equipment rules.
Malakhov said:Oh god someone actually compared Kipper to Luongo.
Malakhov said:Kipper only played 38 games while Luongo played 72 games and was astonishing, sorry.
Kipper has yet to prove himself.
