Haha - yes!The Internet said:I'm gonna go find and post my pics of me and my siblings partying on the Red Mile after Calgary's Game #7 loss against Tampa, complete with Oilers gear.
But anyways, I hear that Edmonton and Calgary will face each other 8 times this season. I guess they are pushing the inter-division rivalries. Pretty much 8 home games for the Oil, as we rock the 'Dome everytime.

"We'll have every opportunity to compete for the $7.8-million player," Nichols said, talking about the maximum salary under the cap.
6.3% to get the first pick means 93.7% that they won't. I can't wait for Thursday.calder said:The draft simulator rules because after I did it 10 or 15 times it demonstrated to me just how slight the weighting process is. Being a favourite at 6.3% isn't all that much of an advantage.

Turning to their unrestricted free agents, the Leafs will have to capitalize on the desire of Gary Roberts, Joe Nieuwendyk and Tie Domi to stay in Toronto and could try to sign the three for a combined $3 million, taking the payroll to $24.4 million.
Toronto might be able to sign O'Neill for $1.5 million

TORONTO (CP) - The Sidney Crosby sweepstakes will be on TV after all.
TSN confirmed Tuesday that the NHL draft lottery in New York will be televised Friday. But like the NBA, only the results of the draw will be shown. The actual drawing will take place away from the cameras.
The original plan had been to hold the entire lottery behind closed doors during Friday's board of governors meeting, with commissioner Gary Bettman subsequently announcing the results at a news conference.
Now hockey fans will get to see how it unfolds. The order of the draft will be unveiled, starting with the 30th pick and ending with the prized first.
The event will be carried live on TSN, starting at 4 p.m. EDT following the 1 p.m. board of governors meeting
Ovechkin's path cleared to NHL

Alexander Ovechkin has cleared the way for himself to play in the NHL this season.
TSN has learned the No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 NHL entry draft has exercised his option to void his contract for this season with Omsk of the Russian Super League. Ovechkin, property of the Washington Capitals, could escape the Russian contract if he were given a contract offer by the Capitals on or before a deadline of July 20 (today). Although the NHL is not yet officially open for business, Washington apparently was able to make some sort of offering that gave Ovechkin the choice to void the contract with Omsk.
And sources say Ovechkin informed the Capitals today that he is, in fact, escaping his commitment to Omsk and wants to play for the Capitals in the NHL this season.
Based on the terms of the new CBA, Ovechkin and the Capitals can officially begin negotating a contract on Saturday. It likely won't be much of a negotiation. As a No. 1 overall pick and potential franchise player, the Capitals will likely give Ovechkin everything he's entitled to as a 2004 draft pick.
Ovechkin is eligible to receive slightly more money than the players who will be drafted in 2005, but not as much as he would have received if he and the Capitals had negotiated a contract prior to the beginning of the lockout.
Technically, there isn't anything to prevent Ovechkin from re-signing with Omsk if he doesn't come to terms with the Capitals, but it's difficult to imagine any scenario where the talented forward isn't wearing a Capitals' uniform this season.

"And Ovechkin scores in his first NHL preseason game! The Caps go up by 2 against the Rangers and Alexander is kissing the number 8 on his sleeve and pointing to the Rangers bench! And now the linesmen are desperately trying to drag Kasparitus and McCarthy off the prone and bleeding Russian phenom!"
