breaking: scott niedermeyer might be returning to the ducks within a week
Plan the parade!

Sources suggest the Ducks are prepared to move any defenceman other than Chris Pronger who is under contract for next season. That list includes Mathieu Schneider, Francois Beauchemin and Sean O'Donnell.

The irony is that while it may be necessary to trade a player to free up “tagging” space for next season, the chances of Niedermayer coming back to play next season are slim to non-existent. Those close to Niedermayer believe that he will play the balance of this season but isn't at all likely to play next season.

uggggggggggh

My buddy works with someone who is Sean O'Donnel's childhood buddy so they are going to a Ducks game in Feb and are gonna meet the players....

Hopefully I can get my jersey signed :p

2-0 LEAFS!!!

Right now the Habs are at .500 (if you group OTL's as loses atleast), they lose this one (which it seems like they will) they'll dip below the mark, thought they were doing better than that...

edit: And just as I typed that Higgin tied it up. Gotta have more faith I guess

i cant wait for the 3rd period 3 goal comeback that sets the dismantling of the toronto brass in motion

is the habs' pk always this passive? they pretty much just let the wings carry it in and get set up. pretty awful.

quiet you.

The only comfort I can take from this game is that even if the Habs had rolled into this match unbeaten in 5 and playing great the Wings would have still tuned their asses.

:(

Price's last 5 starts :

Nov 30 @ NJD L 0-4 29 Shots on goal
Nov 27 @ TOR W 4-3 46 Shots on goal
Nov 23 @ BUF L 2-4 31 Shots on goal
Nov 17 BOS W 7-4 36 Shots on goal
Nov 13 @ TOR W 4-3 40 Shots on goal

Another 30+ shots on tap for tonight. WTF Montreal, his jersey doesn't read "Luongo, Florida Panthers".

FUCK.

Haha.
Sens suck. Leafs winning. Habs suck.
Oh how quickly things change (except for the Flames who have kinda sucked all season).

toskala and the leafs d have been ridiculous tonight. we've got like 33 shots now and probably another 25 blocked in tight. it's been insane.

The only good thing I see out of this is the inevitable hilarious commercials and promos he's probably gonna make. :lol

it would have been awesome if they all came off the bench to mob him.

Looks like the bandwagon is back up and running.

Also if I did my calculations right Toskala GAA is finally below 3 and his save % is above .9.

Leaf Nation should thank their lucky charms for JFJ. He's directly responsible for this sudden turnaround. I have it from a very reliable source which I can't divulge that right after the Phoenix game JFJ ripped Maurice a new one. Questioned his coaching ability and told him this team better improve right away or he was out. Since then the Leafs have 7 out of a possible 8 points. JFJ not only puts the pieces in place, but he's also the oil that makes the parts run smoothly. It's going to be a great run from here on in. We've got the team playing with confidence, Toskala has emerged as the true #1 (late Vezina push possible?) and Blake finally sniping around the net. The rest of the east is on guard, they know what's coming from Toronto.

Habs -- sad.
