DAMN, Fleury was so close to possibly scoring a goal lol. Glad to see the pens wake up in the 3rd with a freaking offensive explosion. Plus it's so nice having Gonch back on the blue line again.

So that was some of the worst officiating ever at the Stars / San Jose game.. Was at the game and wanted to bash my face in by the calls they completly ignored..

Koharski and Magoo need to be hung.. Worst refs ever.. I swear they choose which team they want to win before the game starts whenever they officiate..

Meh to that.. Meh to the Stars crappy turnovers too..

Hopefully we tackle Senators.. tonight was a big loss.. 3 games more then SJ and we are only 2 pts ahead..

I had this Manicsesque post all typed up. About how the team was just on edge about Snieds. About how brilliant a GM Burke is for slow rolling the entire league. And about how everyone should just forget about winning the Cup. But then I realized I can't pull the act off and just wrote this instead.

What is the Ducks cap situation for this year? Do they have room for Selanne?

Depends on who they get rid of to get Scottie on the roster. (That rule is sooooo dumb BTW.) I'm pretty sure it's doable with the right moves... but do we really think Burke is capable of such subtle maneuvering? He'll probably end up trading a second round pick away.

:lol

He sent me an e-mail this morning saying that "Dallas Eakins" is his source and that they're having coffee at Tim Horton's Friday morning...

Wow. Great 3rd period Pens.

The Atlantic Division is insanely close right now. 32, 32, 32, 28, and 28 points. If the Pens keep up the little tear they're on, I could easily see them in first in 2 weeks or so.

The Ducks still have second round picks to trade away?

Leafs and Rangers TONIGHT! .. Lets make it 4 and a row, Toskala again, getting his icetime, improving his play..

Here's to Antrogod scoring and Belak as well.

...not with the way the Devils have suddenly decided to show up.

Belak has been totally under-utilized during his time as a Leaf and it's great to see that he's getting playing time now. Rumour has it JFJ gave Maurice an ultimatum a few games ago "Play Belak more -- or else". Apparently Maurice literally *gulped* when threatened by JFJ. Belak coming through large now with big hits and a sweet goal. I really believe this guy has more talent than people give him credit for. He could easily net 15-20 goals if given a regular shift playing 15-20 min/game.

I know you're insane, but I feel like mentioning that George Laraque once scored a hat trick. Maybe you guys should look into picking him up!

Belak was taken 12th overall in his entry draft. The scouts knew what they were doing.

BigJonsson said:
Aki Berg was a 4th overall pick, what does that tell you?

Sundin and Wellwood will score tonight

I can't answer for every high draft pick that didn't become a superstar. In Belak's case, the scouts saw the potential in him, and we're finally seeing it pay off now with the Leafs. I'll say this in Aki Berg's defense though, he was totally mis-used in his stay with the Leafs. Pat Quinn was clueless in terms of what to do with the guy. He had the raw skills to be a premier rearguard in the league -- it's not a coincidence that he was consistently on the Finnish national team. One of the 6 best Finnish defencemen in the world. One. of. six.

There's 'funny, because he's defending a horrible GM' and then there's Manics calling Wade Belak anything more than a shitty, AHL-quality player. Manics, you've crossed the line.

Karakand said:
Sabres and Amerks appear to perhaps be parting ways? Kinda shitty if true.

But this may be part of a larger shift where the Ducks move their affiliation to San Antonio, the Panthers get the Amerks and the Sabres get the vacated Portland Pirates. That'd be really shitty because a beat reporter for the Pirates posts at the Duck HFBoard and he's pretty invaluable for info.

There's a huge clusterfuck going on with the Sabres and Amerks...basically the Amerks are losing boatloads of money. Donner, the Amerks owner says this is the Sabres' fault for going to a dual affiliation and not supplying the team with veterans, which meant a worse team and lower attendance. Golisano (the Sabres' owner) says that it's Donner's fault for mismanaging the team and say that the reason they went to a dual affiliation was because they didn't want to put money into a team that was so badly managed. There's a lot of mud slinging going on on both sides which is really a shame since being so close it's the perfect relationship and has been for like 30 years now. Golisano (who is from Rochester ironically) has offered to buy the Amerks but Donner will never sell them.

Gotta love the "Zach Attack!"

Kid Devil's on pace for a 100 point season. Getting Colin White back from a near career-threatening eye injury as well as the newly christened "Captain" Jamie Langenbrunner has done wonders for this team.

And since the Devils have the night off, Lets Go Leafs!:D

My boy antrogod doing his THANG... I'm loving this..

Not like, the leafs are playing AMAZING but .. the Rangers are juts playing worse thats all.

Gotta work on the PP..

And wtf about Paul Maurice Buttlovin Wozuseless.. Kronwall woulda been way more effective.

TIC TAC TOE And this game is OVER..

Jagr didn't show up, he usually rapes us.

Beantown on saturday!!

I love antrogod <3

Good win for Montreal, hopefully this is a sign of thigns to come and they won't fall back into a rut anytime soon, although it might have been a different story if Boston wasn't having so many goaltending issues

The way they played in the 2nd and 3rd period last night wouldn't have happened last year. Sutter's putting the old Devils hockey spirit back in them.

holy shit @ the kings. 6-0 over buffalo in the 2nd? also, i apologize to any canucks fans at random slurs i may or may not have yelled at vancouver fans in front of me tonight :P

And Brisebois/Gorges, oh boy... Yeah, let OByrne sit in the minors instead...
Tonight Brisebois and Gorges are benched, Obyrne is called up and gets 2 assists in his first NHL game and looked freaking great.

:D :D :D

WHAT A MOVE BY LETANG!!!!!!!!! Pens win in shootout. The Canada sweep is almost complete. Canucks up next lol.
