Your vendetta against Brandon Jacobs continues to confuse me.
I call out RBs who talk shit. What's so confusing about that? Did the guy not just get paid?

Willie Parker might not play on Sunday but at this point I almost welcome Moore getting more touches because he has been our best option at running back going back to last year.

Yeah, Moore is just the smarter player, better blocker, better receiver and simply more consistent. He doesn't have the home run threat, but with this Oline that doesn't matter anyway. And then you've got Mendenhall who apparently has a shitty attitude and work ethic. Ugh. Last year's draft is looking terrible. I'm happy that Wallace and McDonald are going to be the 3 and 4 wideouts though.

And Lebeau better have some new schemes in store for getting to Rivers. D needs to start producing turnovers. I'm thinking this game is either going to be a comfortable win for the Steelers or another shit-tastic last second loss.

Left tackle Jermon Bushrod said he doesn't expect to play Sunday against the New York Jets after aggravating his right ankle at Buffalo. That means fourth-year pro Zach Strief will return to the starting lineup.

Son of a bitch! Jammal Brown was put on IR, now Bushrod is out against the best Defense were going to play so far this season. The Number 1 and 2 guys at the most important position on the offensive line are now out.

Strief, don't Fuck this opportunity up!

Yeah, dude's a freak. But I would wait until he's 100%, they'll need him later.

I'd sit him this week, get him some reps against the Lions next week, and then completely unleash him the week after versus the Browns.

I hate how much fucking Dallas is getting shoved down my throat!!!! Sunday night, then Monday night, then fucking 98% of the country for a 4PM game!!!!! St. Louis is closer to me that either Dallas or Denver ffs!!!

I hope they go 4-12 for the whole nation to laugh at.

Well, Dallas/NE/Pitt/Giants/Eagles(when playing any of these former teams)Wash(ditto)Packers/Vikes (this year)/IND (when playing NE which this year will be on Sunday Night) will give the networks 12.5 to 17.5 ratings and 15 to 25 households. That's not fair (the Jets are better this year, the 49rs are better this year despite that play) but it isnt anything to sneeze at. The only two consolations to the Niners/Vikes game that Joe FUCKING Buck was NOWHERE near the twin cities (Rosen has been underrated for years.) and im somewhat partial to the Niners because I grew up with them winning titles (and Summerall doing Voice over of most of there NFC Title games and Superbowls) while Philly was always there but never got there.

Weird in Payton's press conference he said he expects Bushrod to play.

How fortunate are you to have two guys like Jermon Bushrod and Zach Strief who have some experience and can fill in for him?

“Those guys have been here and we’ve worked with them and developed them. Both of them have played now in important games and I think that both of them will be ready this week. Both of them played last week in Buffalo, so they both have experience.”

either way Strief played well last week.

TBA? WTF does that mean? (yes I know it means To Be Announced, I've just never seen it before) :lol I'm in Sacramento and Fox doesn't even know what its going to play yet? Then again, its not like any of the other games its playing at that time look anymore appealing. How sad is it that the game that looks the best to me is the Chicago/Detroit game? I guess it means my broadcast area hasn't decided what its showing yet?

Also, I feel for my fellow niners brethren who will be subjugated to another Cowboys game. It's not like the Dallas/Carolina game was any good at all. I'll grant you that the Giants/Cowboys was at least interesting to watch, even if I'm not a fan of either team.

See I think the jets D is a little overhyped. It's definitely good, but they haven't really faced a good QB yet (Brady played like trash). During the pats game Brady was able to move it into the red zone on three straight possessions, each time resulted in a FG. The same exact thing happened in ATL. Welker hasn't been playing and Brady has just been overthrowingg guys.

Hmm, maybe hes pulling a Belicheat and not tipping his hand on who will start on Sunday by having two conflicting stories.

I know Nicks and Evans both played LT in college but I would still be really nervous going into Sunday with only Strief at LT if Bushrod is out. Do we have anyone else after Strief?

Yeah I love Moore. Dude ALWAYS produces a nice play when we need it in almost every game. I wish we played him more. He is super consistent, which is what we really need on offense. I thought Mendenhall turned a corner because he had a great game in Chicago but I guess he fucked up whatever he gained by dogging it in practice.

Lebeau needs to start bringing the heat. Our secondary was amazingly good last year, but without Troy we just don't have the depth to play that conservative anymore. We need to start taking some more changes on defense to put pressure on the qb and either get the sack or turnover. We can go back to being more conservative once Troy is back at 100%.

I also think we should rest Troy as much as he needs it. We have the Lions and Browns coming up so even a loss here is not the end of the world. I would have taken 3-3 if I knew we were without Troy for the first 6 games. At this point the only way we can have a successful season is to win the Superbowl again. Whether we miss the playoffs altogether or lose in the first round it is still a failure for us either way.

Now Quinn will ask to be traded, and he'll become a star somewhere else. FUCK.

:lol

Hardly dude. I've been saying Quinn is a bust from day 1. There's a reason why 20 some teams passed on his ass in the draft. There's a reason why he couldn't beat out DA in the pre-season. He stinks.

If you can not move within the pocket or hit a strike 25+ yards down the field .. you will never be an NFL QB. It's that simple.

What a shame we had to sacrifice a year where we had good QB's to choose from just to find out what was pretty apparent. Next year we are going to be stuck with McCoy/Bradford .. neither of which are going to be that great, imo.

I think we would slide Nicks over to LT, and Leckey at G. I really think Bushrod plays though, and like Always they play Strief alot at TE in certain situations.

The Stations lock their choices 1 to 3 days before the game starts - Two CBS Affiliates did this with the Pats/Indy game 2 years back.

Makes sense. Nicks was a hell of dominant LT in college and I think I remember seeing him get some reps there during the pre-season.

Ben Roethlisberger did not tell Steelers that he would be hosting Raw
Sep 30, 2009 - 5:05:31 PM

A player for the Pittsburgh Steelers told reporters on Wednesday that Ben Roethlisberger and the offensive linemen he's bringing to WWE Raw on Monday did not tell coaches ahead of time they would be guest-hosting the show.

The Steelers have a scheduled day off on Tuesday, but they have a team meeting on Monday. The AP reports that lineman Max Starks told reporters "the players didn't tell the coaches in advance."

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is not commenting on Roethlisberger hosting Raw after he refused to comment on the announcement during a press conference yesterday.

The Steelers have a home game on Sunday night. Roethlisberger will be in Wilkes-Barre less than 24 hours later hosting Raw. Another lineman suggested Roethlisberger made the call himself based on his status on the team.

"Ben is the captain, he said, 'Let's roll,' so that's all right," right tackle Willie Colon said. "I don't plan on being physical. I ain't gonna choke nobody. I do my wrestling on Sunday. I'll be a spectator on Monday."

Roethlisberger did not talk to media on Wednesday, but he also had some legal issues in play. A judge in Nevada ruled that Roethlisberger could not dismiss a civil lawsuit filed by a woman in Nevada who alleged Roethlisberger sexually assaulted her in 2008.

Truer words have never been spoken.

It's the coach's fault. Why did he put some retard kid back there? Even having no one back there would have been better since it was in the endzone. Secondly, it's the flanker's fault for letting the retard run it out.

HS team misses FG, but still win...

What a moran.

Our Qb did something like this in our first highschool game for the freshman team.

I don't remember what the score was but it was within a touchdown with 6 seconds left. We had the lead so our coach told our Qb, seen here playing defensive back for UofL in 1994 where he pretty much single handily beat the highly ranked Texas A&M with 2 taints, to drop back until time ran out. Well he dropped back until time ran out, but then he enthusiastically spiked the ball after time ran out. Lucky for us the refs didn't realize what had happened and we got out of there with a win we didn't deserve. Our coaches had a look on their face like we stole something as we were getting on the bus.

Questions for the Saints fans;

Question 1;

Don't you think the fans jinx the the living shit out of this team? Why can't some just be happy that the team is winning? As soon as WWL, WDSU, FOX 8 and the like start playing and making up those dumb ass Saints themed songs, shit is going to hit the fan.

I've sent emails to WDSU, WWL, and Fox 8 in the hopes of them NOT playing "Bless You Boys", "Saints go all the way", and that "The SAINTS! ARE MARCHIN! (the dumb ass song that was for 06). To make things worse the whole BREESUS thing needs to be shut the hell down. Drew always talks about team, yet the fans are making it all about him..WTF? Learn from the QB and chill. Can the fans just calm down and not jinx the team until they actually know the Saints will make it to the playoffs? PLEASE!? Damn! I mean no disrespect to any of the passionate or insane fans. I just wish people wouldn't go overboard, only to have the team go through one of those WTF periods. I actually want to see the Saints make it to the Superbowl. If they can't make it with Brees, then they wont make it at all (IMO).

Question 2;

Will the loser of the match be considered a bad team? Some of my friends think if the Saints lose this one, they will be no better of than they were last year? I don't agree with this. The Saints look like they can hang with anyone offense wise, and the D looks to be improved. The Jets seem to be a good team, so I don't think the loser should automatically be made out to be a fraud. As long as the Saints dont go out and make some dumb mistakes, they should be able to get a win out of this. If the Jets take it, props to them. I don't think I'll be able to watch this game, so I might just look in the thread to get updates from the people here. I just want Sunday to come so this feeling can just be over! XD

Question 3;

Does anyone get nervous in the stomach whenever Bush gets the ball? You never know WTF is going to happen with him (good play, fumble, WTF play, etc.).

May the better team win on Sunday...I just hope its the Saints.:D

That jinxing bullshit is the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard of. If your team is doing well then you should be fucking proud of it, and sing their fucking song, unless your team is the fucking Dolphins and you guys have that gayass song by T Pain.

'Jinxing'? It's a fucking luxury from asshole fans who are passive aggressively trying to rub in the fact that their team is doing well. Fuck it, I wish I had something to jinx, because shit's been jinxed to hell and back for the last twenty fucking years.

What happened to the Dolphins? They caught people by surprise last season and have started off odd this year. The Saints did the same thing the year after they made it to the NFC Championship. I didn't even know T-Pain made a song for the Dolphins. :P

About jinxing, I hear a lot of the "old time" Saints fans talk about it. Like how the Superdome was built over the old graveyard and wondering why the team buried their awards after the 06 season. I guess the old timers may be just as insane as the new fans . XD

What happened to the Dolphins (along with every other AFC East team) is they had possibly the easiest schedule in NFL history. They played 6 games against each other (all mediocre) and then had 4 games against the AFC West and 4 games against the NFC West. Between those 8 teams, Arizona (9-7) had the only winning record.

We haven't even seen enough of him yet, plus he looked pretty good (last year) before he broke his finger. All I'm saying is, give him more time. Judging him against the Vikings, Broncos, and Ravens, then giving DA the Bengals just isn't fair. So many QBs look bad their first season starting, but get a chance to turn it around.

We already know Anderson will throw 2 to 4 INTs every game, so why not stick with Brady?

I do not believe in jinxing a team, whatever you do has no effect on how the team goes out there and plays on sunday.

Of course whoever loses will not be considered a bad team, one game doesn't define a season unless its the playoffs/super bowl.

I just get excited to see what happens, not really nervous.

Yeah I can't wait to be at the game on sunday, its gonna be so loud and my voice will be gone by half time but damn its gonna be worth it.

You'll see me in here from time to time, but I work weekend overnights so I usually can't offer live commentary.
(Going home to visit on Monday.. Kenner, here I come. Yay.)

I dont know.. I think I'm going to get creamed this week.

Ryan Grant vs MIN
Pierre Thomas, Dev Henderson vs JETS
Thomas Jones vs NO

not sure who to sit/start. Might switch Dev for BUF Lee Evans.
