IM SO EXCITED! IM SO EXCITED! IM SO....SCARED!
:lol
Jessie: No time! No time! ThereÂ’s never any time! I donÂ’t have time to study, IÂ’ll never get into Stanford...IÂ’ll let everyone down, IÂ’m so confused!
Zack: Jessie, hey! Just calm down...
Jessie: YouÂ’re right, everythingÂ’ll be okay. I just need one of these. (reaches for bottle of No-Doze)
Zack: Caffeine pills! You mean you really are taking drugs?
Jessie: I need them!
Zack: Jessie, give me those! (wrestles bottle away)
Jessie: I need them, Zack! I need to sing!
Zack: Jessie! You canÂ’t sing tonight!
Jessie: Yes I can! (wails lines from Pointer Sisters song) ‘I’m so excited! I’m so excited!’ I’m so...scared! (begins sobbing uncontrollably, becomes a complete basket case)
An Emmy-worthy performance, indeed.
Jessie’s drug problem — as are all problems in the world of situation comedy — is neatly solved before the closing credits roll. Within the span of 22.5 minutes, her friends make her realize how annoying she is when she is “on” caffeine, bring her down from her over-the-counter-drug-induced high, and sensibly convince her to see a behavioral psychologist. The episode closes with one of Zack’s trademark corny jokes (this one about his lackluster grades), ending the show on a predictably lighthearted note.
