Wow, why all the blind hate for Cena chants?

Should be an interesting angle since Bret can't take any major bumps.

Batista, and John Cena have NO BUSINESS in this feud. I wanted to see Bret Hart decimate Vince for 10 minutes in a Street Fight at WM26

They are holding the Sharpshooter on Vince for a Wrestlemania Moment obviously

Also, why the fuck would I care if Cena wrestles for Hart's honour. Off all fucking people to pick for Christ sake... he is like the opposite of everything Hart was back in the day

sure if you also want bret to die 5 minutes after the match.

If you saw tonight you know that Bret wrestling a match isn't possible.

Damn there is some extreme over reaction going on around here. Why not build two feuds for Wrestlemania out of one angle? Within the next two weeks, Cena and Batista reignite their feud, and Vince and Bret do their thing? Two matches for Wrestlemania.

I honestly wouldn't mind it if that's what happens, but in all likelihood, it's gonna be a Cena in Hart's corner, Batista in Vince's corner type of thing which takes away from how personal this confrontation should be.

Bret can't fight. Neither can Vince, he taught Shane how to shadow punch and we saw gow effective those were against Orton. I mean, those would kill Bret.

Are you kidding me? Bret hart, a super over babyface for much of his career. Kids chanting his name. Yeah Cena is nothing like that.

Cena entered the feud last week and he did well with his promo. Is there any real reason to oppose this move besides blind hatred for john cena?

Chris Jericho's jail buddy and fellow WWE star Greg "Hurricane" Helms had a single muscle relaxer -- as in one pill -- on him when he was arrested last week for public intoxication ... this according to the police report.

According to the report, "a search of Helm's purse revealed one white round pill" which cops say was a Soma -- the generic version of the muscle relaxer Carisoprodol and a "schedule four narcotic."

Soma is no stranger to wrestling controversy. Dr. Phil Astin was recently jailed for 10 years after he was busted for prescribing Soma -- among other drugs -- in large quantities to wrestlers Chris Benoit and Michael Durham before they died.

In the report, it says Helms told cops he had a prescription for the pill but was not able to show proof of it at the time. Cops did not press charges against Helms over the single Soma pill.

WWE has yet to get back to us.

Bret can't even do something that limited though. With his frail medical condition he'd REALLY be risking a lot.

It REALLY sucks life handed him such a rough lot.

Hmm. Cena sucks.....and for the life of me, I can't think of anyone on the roster who should come to Bret's aid instead........like someone from Canada......or a whole group? Like a group of people who are somehow related to him! That would make sense!

SXE Society better win those belts next week, wtf with DX basically voiding all the work Jerishow did to make people care about the tag belts again.

Raw sounded pretty awesome, I'll catch it sometime this week. I did see the Shatner song promo, and my only complaint is that this thread isn't flooded with gifs.

In the ring:
Cena does matches.
Bret tells stories.

On the mic:
Cena's shtick comes off as largely forced and only catches on because it gets repeated over and over again. his "I WILL. NOT. QUIT." and "THE CHAMP IS HERE!!" and other catchphrases, they didn't get any reactions at all for the first few weeks or month they were used.

Stuff like "What?" and Mr Socko and other things that real legends have come up wtih, it sticks immediately. Cena comes off as artificial in every way.

Cena doesn't have that "it" factor, at least, not after he dropped the rap gimmick.

Basically, cena sucks in the ring and is artificial and fake on the mic, which bret isn't. So yeah, fuck cena, and keep him away from the bret feud. Especially considering how bad cena is in the ring at telling stories. Even bret in his prime might have trouble wrestling a good match with cena because cena would no sell every injury bret would inflict on his arms or knees or whatever. He's awful.

I'm predicting for Wrestlemania...

HBK vs Taker(after he costs him the title)
Jericho vs Edge for World Heavyweight
Probably HHH vs Shamus unfortunately.
Orton vs Dibiase(not sure who Rhodes will be with)
Cena w/Bret vs Batista w/ Vince

That's all I got.

Edge/Jericho will be great, HBK/Taker could be another classic, the Money In The Bank is always entertaining, and if we do get CM Jesus vs. Rey Mysterio then that could be another great match on the card. This WM has the potential to be the best in a while IMO.

You really think the hart Dynasty, a team that has never drawn, one half of the team has never had a decent match, barely gets a reaction and are jobbers on a different show should be placed above John Cena and Batista at Wrestlemania?

This is what I'm talking about. Blind hatred for the guy. Cena has had plenty of good matches and some of the best feuds in the WWE for the past few years and his catchphrases catch on far sooner than a week or month. The guy is a complete heat magnet, the type of person you put in WM.

My WM Card:

Edge vs. Jericho- World Title
HHH vs. Sheamus- WWE Title
HBK vs. Undertaker
Cena (w/ Bret) vs. Batista (w/Vince)
Orton vs. Dibaise vs. Rhodes
CM Punk vs. Mysterio- Hair vs. Mask
Big Show/Miz vs. MVP/Henry- Tag Titles
Christian vs. Ryder- ECW Title
MItB: Evan Bourne/Swagger/Kofi/Yoshi/Shelton/Kane/Morrison/McIntyre
Diva Battle Royale

Well it's pretty obvious Bret can't even take a bump now. Pretty damn sad :(

At least we get to see him, even though it seems no one here likes the idea of Cena in his corner. I think it will all be fine.

Anyhow, Perhaps you would rather have a fellow Canadian in his corner?

Kevin Nash and April Hunter, a fitness model turned wrestler, shot a sex scene this week for an upcoming indy film called Ultimate Death Match III. That should be something else. April said he was a complete professional. Guess that means he didn't go into business for himself. Abyss, Shane Douglas, Tommy Dreamer, Al Snow and others are also involved.

If people around here booked the WWE they would go out of business. Like I said before...even when Rock and Stone Cold were champs the hardcore fans were pissed. Why can't Jericho be champ? Why can't Chris Benoit be champ? Etc. etc... This shit would go on wrestlings forum for months on end. Of course now everyone misses the Rock but I have way different memories from my time on wrestling message boards. Come on. Cena might be Hulk Hogan like in his super human baby face stradom, but he is a way better wrestler than he ever was. That's a plus in my eye.

It's amazing. Someone posts VERY valid reasons to dislike Cena (which I agree with.), and yet you still call it "blind" hatred.

You name me one GOOD Cena match, and I'll show you Cena being in the ring with someone far better than him and guiding him along.

Define GOOD. You can have a good match without having to do a million fucking wrestling moves. If you can keep fans interested for a whole match...that is a GOOD match.

i'm not the one quantifying his matches.

Woah, woah, woah. In regards to the Hart Dynasty, it just seems like such a lost opportunity to help them get over, get noticed, ect.

When this whole "return of Bret Hart" angle was leaked, if anyone said they couldn't wait untill John Cena got involved, they were joking at best. In fact, most of the chatter seemed to point to Bret helping the Hart Dynasty screw Dx out of the tag belts.

So now, I'm sorry if that makes me a stupid fan or armchair booker, but I think Cena blows and having him in the angle makes me think it's going to end up being lame or same old shit.

He always yells that. Watch when he comes out for a match. He checks his Stone Cold watch and yells "It's Clobbering Time"

I seem to always blame booking for trying to protect John Cena at all costs, since he's "the face of the company".

I mean, a guy like UT or Kane can lose cleanly and still look good and make the other guy look good, but somehow WWE Booking feels like if Cena loses he will collapse down to Funaki levels and nobody will care about him again.

I don't even get his gimmick. He's not a marine, not a rapper, WTF is his persona supposed to be? A motivational speaker? He doesn't freestyle anymore, doesn't pump his reeboks up, doesn't wear chains or anything like that. To me, they seemed to have stripped Cena's whole gimmick away to just being a walking WWEShop plug.

There was a match that I remember seeing vs Chris Jericho, where Jericho laid down ALL of the offense during the match, but seemingly in the final minutes of the match, Cena gets in his offense which appears to be literally 5 fucking moves and the match was over, making Jericho look really weak and Cena unable to sell literally anything.

See the Orton/Cena match at the Hell in a Cell PPV. Dude didn't even sell a punt that was supposed to take people out "for months". There's a lot of things wrong but a majority of it lies with how the WWE books him, IMO.

That's what one of my main problems with him is. Most wrestlers can be quickly explained by their gimmick, it's what they are. Cena doesn't seem to have one and that always irritates me for some reason.

No one noticed that the Cena chants were looped into the tv feed? If it wasn't, why would the crowd chanted for Cena? Cause he's the most over guy on Raw! You rather the fans chant Sheamus to save Bret? or how about Mark Henry?

The chants looped in were basically saying Cena isn't winning the EC. ;_;

He seems like the geek, watered down version of Stone Cold, an average, every day guy, except where Austin was a beer drinking, deer hunting rough neck, Cena is just a video game & old school wrestling fan. At least that's how I see it.
