Blackleg should be the young one, since he was speculated to be a Vinsmoke before.

I'd rather take the Beard and Stache combo or sword guy.

Honestly, one thing I notice is that people who want Sanji to kick her isn't because she's a threat or in his way of freedom or anything, but more because that's the moral justice she deserves. Which...isn't inconsistent with how OP handles a lot of it's villains, arguably. Still, if it turns out that Pudding isn't a fighter that's an actual threat, Sanji kicking Pudding basically means he has to be the aggressor. That I think there is no way in hell happening. Which is why I hope that Pudding is a real fighter. Otherwise, Sanji won't really have a palpable reason for breaking away from his stupidity.

I'm about to play Devil's advocate here but....

Carrot is absolutely not going to join the Strawhats.

I'm making this bold statement here, but as much as I enjoy Carrot's character, she really doesn't fit the credentials of what it means to be a Strawhat.

  • She doesn't have a tragic backstory - Unless there's something we don't know about her, nothing in the story has showcased her having a backstory of some sort. The only chance for her to get his is if she turns out to be the traitor on Zou that gave Jack the vivre card.
  • She doesn't have a role on the crew - Her specialty is fighting...that's it.
  • She doesn't have a dream - Again, as far as we know, there's really nothing here to suggest she's motivated by anything other than wanting to go on an adventure.

On the other hand, characters like Jinbe, Pedro, and even Momonosuke have all of these features in some capacity or form. Every Strawhat member follows this guideline.

She has a tragic backstory or did you forget what jack did to zou?

She doesn't need a "dream" or she does whenbshe considered the sea a wonderland

Zoro specialty is also fighting... that it

No getting lost does not count

Her dream is to see the world after being sheltered her whole life. And that's largely what Usopp and Nami's dreams are, too, at least in the broadest idea.

And there's certainly room for Carrot to have some sort of past story at least on par with "My mom died" or "Someone fell down a flight of stairs". Not everyone needs to have some sort of Robin level lifetime of suffering.

Rebel Leader

THE POWER OF BUTTERSCOTCH BOTTOMS
Luffy is not a true strawhat

No tragic back story
no skill other than fighting
He's only 33% strawhat

You may go "but but shanks arm" it's only a flesh wound you wimps

Zou backatory is her vack atory

That's like saying ohara backstory shouldn't count for robin
Ohara=zou
Robbin=carrot

Zou flashback was focused on nekomamashi and dogstorm she wasn't even in it at all really. And could be a think for all minks not just carrot.

Robin is the character we view the Ohara incident through.

She isn't even Jinbei with the fish tiger flashback where he struggles what ideals to follow between tiger and otohime.

She's crew
I don't care about your criteria

Meh, y'all acting like Oda can't come out the cut with some depressing backstory or expand on her dreams (Though I thought her wanting to see the world and being sick of being on the island was okay, not everything has to be grandiose or heartbreaking, though I'll concede there's obviously a trend for it) whenever he feels like it, as if we didn't just get yet another one with Sanji not too long ago after all these years lol. Now yea, that is not the same thing of course, but all I'm saying is, I'm happy to be patient and see what happens after this arc. There's a lot going on since the timeskip, so it wouldn't be too out there for Oda to take his time to introducing a new member. After all, we're only just now getting Jinbe. Furthermore, it's been 9 years since someone joined, and there's also been a timeskip since then. I wouldn't necessarily be surprised if after all this time Oda decided a more roundabout approach to eventually making her a member, or at the very least stop caring about each member needing a "proper role". (Because honestly, how many roles are left to fill, I'm genuinely curious lol)

In the end though, I don't want to come off as utterly reaching, or act like some desperate Monet fan that will never give up hope, so I try not to get too crazy with the Carrot love. All I know is, Oda dangled the bait right in front of us with him randomly making her a stowaway, and having a personality that jives quite well with the rest of the crew.

So I blame him.

Yeah but there's really no hints whatsoever on Carrot having a backstory. Even when Nico Robin started to become Luffy's ally, there was hints in Alabasta that there was more to her than meets the eye. Carrot does not have this whatsoever.

Carrot is a rabbit whose name is Carrot. Oda must have put about three whole seconds of thought into that one. I'd be pretty surprised if she joined.
