He just seems too perfect for now, much like Ace did in the past. OP characters (at least the heroic ones) get by on a combination of being wacky or over-the-top badass, Ace (aside from the narcolepsy) stood out for just being generic bishie good guy. Sabo continues that legacy, but without even the narcolepsy.

i'm afraid we wont ever see shanks go all out. when he and blackbeard finally clash i doubt we see the whole fight since oda is likely holding back blackbeards full power for his eventual fight with luffy. the only hope we have is that shanks loses his fight with blackbeard but isn't killed. shanks comes back in the end and helps luffy take on the world government and we finally see what shanks can really do. of course if shanks somehow survives it's because his crew saves him while most if not all parish in the blackbeard fight.

And Sabo still has room to grow. I liked his aristocracy/common folk thing especially as where your born being important in the series (celestial dragon stuff) increases. Although I'm not sure his roots will even be touched on again (and it doesn't really need to be).

Ace serves his purpose, but I can't say I hold any attachment to the character.

Sometimes I lowkey dislike Shanks because of how much praise and what not he gets despite us knowing little to nothing of his actual combat capabilities. (And on a smaller note, it's slightly befuddling seeing him in OP games despite us not knowing how he actually fights) I don't know if overrated is the right word for it, but from my perspective, while I do enjoy his character, I'll wait to shower him w/ praise or w/e once he actually does something lol
