I'm with you up until this point. I mean, I'm with you on bailing out of putting money in, but mine is because I know it's a horrible habit, not because I feel like I was owed something from a company running a business built on what is essentially gambling. Was there some pull that would've completely changed your view of this event?

As far as mobile games go, OPTC is pretty generous with the free things, even giving for downloads and typos. That isn't too common.

By giving back, I meant making pull rates more even across the board. I'm not asking for them to hand me my legend of choice. What I feel I am owed is FAR more reasonable, at least for the damn Anni sugo. I mean there are so many filler sugos in between, they can't make an exception here? It's fine if I don't get that new TS Luffy, maybe even never, because you're right, this is gambling in a way after all. Let's say I pulled Ray, Boa, and Marco in 3 multi pulls. I'm pretty happy about that even though I would've preferred other legends. But come on dude, 8 multi pulls without even a dupe legend is abysmal.

Looking at it from another way, I'd say pretty much everyone comes out of skill up events feeling like they came out even or a lot of times, ahead. Why is one RNG factor of this game skewed in such a way compared to rare recruit? Oh right, because one involves gems and the other doesn't. I mean it's pretty clear to me what Bandai wants is money, not keeping their playerbase happy like any competent developer does, especially after supporting them with money like I did.

Also you can't compare this 1:1 with gambling either, because one involves potentially earning more money and the other is a damn video game.

Anyways, sorry for the sugo salt/rant.

Spent all my gems for 4 multipulls.

Free pull 1: Tornado Tempo Nami
Free pull 2: Trebol
Batch 1:
Reunited Sanji
Oars Jr.
Killer
Killer
Speed Jiru
Shanks
Sengoku (!!!)
3D2Y Nami
Vergo
Tornado Tempo Nami
Mirage Tempo Nami
Batch 2:
Ms. All Sunday
Reunited Sanji
Oars Jr.
Reunited Chopper x2
Legend Law (!!!)
Urouge
Senor Pink
Drake
Crocus
Reunited Nami
Batch 3:
Vergo
Trebol
Giolla x2
Corazon (!!!)
Reunited Chopper x2
Gladius
Tabasco Star Usopp
Don Chinjao
Crocus
Batch 4:
Mr 3
Moria
Blueno
Dream Chaser Zoro
Giolla
Orlumbus
Reunite Chopper x2
Senor Pink
Dagama
Crocus

So that's 3 legends in 200 gems; I guess I'm satisfied for now. Soooo many Choppers, though. Now to save up again.

Checked the thead on a lark, haven't played in about a year, didn't have enough gems for a multi-pull but scored an Int-Hawk on my second freebie pull, nice.

You're totally right in being annoyed by the whole thing, but that's the way they've run this from the beginning. But as far as the skill up-to-RR comparing, people here have fed like 80 copies of a guy with zero skill ups, where at least with RR you're getting someone new to use (though it may be someone of little use).

But feeling you're owed something, I don't know if I agree. You pull knowing it's likely going to be garbage, and knowing that their system doesn't increase your chances based on past pulls. There was that dude in Japan that spent like $6000 trying to get one character in Granblue and he never got it. That's horrible, but that's also RNG. The only answer is to stop paying, as you've mentioned, and really, they've made all the money they need to off of folks like you and me. More than enough, for sure.

Also, it's specific to this game. Bandai Namco runs about... maybe 30 different games on the JP store, if not more, and they all have different systems from this one. Similar sure, but different. So I'd blame whoever the team is specifically, those dogs.

Oh my god, anyone else watch Zeenigami's sugo video?

What the fuck.

Bandai plant, clearly.

That's a joke, of course. I'm not that paranoid. What really happened is that Bandai monitors his account and sent specific pulls to him during the broadcast in order to manipulate other players into buying more gems. That's a much more reasonable stance. :p

My makeshift INT party cleared 30 sta Franky without Shiryus (was too lazy to reload).
Friend captain was Shiryu.

Nice to know that its doable so I can safely use 2x sta on it :).

Damn the Sengoku train keeps chuggin along. Welcome to the team brothers! haha

Again like I said earlier, the list of pre-evolved characters that are actually useful to isn't very big. Most of the time you are better off finding a 20 or less cost unit that can hit level 99. There are obvious exceptions but still, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I see quite a few people asking about teams for him and planning them out. It depends what you want to run with him. Some solid staples for building teams around. GP Usopp, Alvida, Perona, Breed. They are probably the best overall units for Sengoku imo. You can clear some forests and pretty hard content with a mix of these units. I'd say another important thing to pay attention to is stat sticks. I find with most other legends or team builds there isn't much room for stat sticks anymore unless they happen to come with a great special. Asura Zora, Arlong, Bike Smoker are great for Sengoku beat sticks. Again I'm feeling sad that I super evolved Zoro because I honestly would use Asura more in the long run (new Zoro is 28/30cost or w/e) If anyone has any more questions please let me know. I've been running Sengoku for over a year straight now so I have a good feel for whats needed here and there.

real quick I'll make a list of units you should keep in mind for Sengoku

God tier
GP Usopp
Perona
Alvida
Breed

Units that are 20 or under cost that can hit level 99
Leopard Lucci
Arlong (even his fortnight version is decent)
Bike Smoker
Petty Officer Coby
Kaku Dock One Carpentry Specialist
Noland
Sanji Diable Jambe Flambe
Calgara (great stats and special)
Nico Robin
Story Franky (int, has amazing stats and a decent special)
Halloween Zoro
Road to the Pirate King Luffy PSY (new unit we just got)
Any Log characters besides Luffy
Most fortnight characters are 20 or under

I can't see many of you that just pulled Sengoku not having most of those characters.

Oh my god, anyone else watch Zeenigami's sugo video?

What the fuck.

I believe he is the one who makes me the most salty about this sugo. I did 6 multis and all I got was a Inthawk dupe, all 4 TS characters, Don Chinjoa and Haruta... At least I got Haruta out of my most wanted list. But meanwhile he predicted his 3 red in one multi and get even more. Until I don't know the 3rd? or 4th? legend he didn't even get a dupe legend although he had like more than half of them already. YES I'M JELOUS. ;__;

Now I know that it's not worth it to save your gems for an anni sugo. Guess I used up all my luck on previous sugos where I got 3 legend in 4 multis or something like this. Even if I got like 3 SW Ace dupes.
All I wanted was one or two of these: 3D2Y Robin or Zoro, Leo, Gladius, Mancherry, Van Augre, I believe that's it.
Eh. Whatever. I just save my gems now and wait for the Wapol fortnight return to max my legend Marco and wreck every forest... And pull whenever 3D2Y Zoro or Robin is boost rated.

With Marco and Jimbe I think my Powerhouse / Fighter teams should be fine now. :)

Can't wait for the Rocketman to run this fun Sanji team:

3d2y Sanji x2
Legend Jimbe
Legend Marco
Legend Lucci
Whitebeard

Full board of orbs on the first burst turn, high chance to have a full board on the second turn and then you have the 30% cut from Whitebeard too. :p

I didn't until now, but I would hate to be that dude's neighbor. I'm sitting there trying to watch whatever I'm into this week and I hear muffled through the wall OH FUCK I CALLED IT OHOHOHO BLACKBEARD BLACKBEARD and whatnot.

Like yeah, I was happy when I pulled mine too, but I didn't shit my pants over it or anything.

If you added up the total amount of pulls he's done versus what he's pulled, I bet 95% of the playerbase has better luck, though. It's just that most folks do 1 or maybe 2 multis and get disappointed, but he keeps drilling until it hits. 3 legends in a row is absolutely nuts, though.

I had 2 reds in one pull and I almost passed out. If I got 3, I would have passed out, probably.

This is probably the best attitude to have. Most of us have had FAR more losses than wins with this game and the only thing you can really do is dust yourself off and try again next time.

15000 Ray points should allow you to buy a legend imo. That's 3 legend dupes or a crapton of RR dupes.

Well that was a rollercoaster. Sorta. I'm was initially not totally satisfied, but over the course of the day I realised that I have quite a few options going forward, but first the pulls:

1st FP: Towel Nami 5* (dupe)
2nd FP: Iceburg 4* (dupe, I think?)

1st Multi The Warmup
Mr. 5 4* (dupe, fuck off)
SW Zoro 4* (NEW)
SW Zoro 5* (NEWDupe)
Tabasco Star Usopp (Dupe)
Shanks 4* (NEW)
Urouge 4* (Dupe)
TS Franky 4* (NEW)
Towel Nami 5* (Dupe)
Mirage Tempo Nami 4* (Dupe)
Hotori Kotori 4* (Dupe)
Crocus 4* (Dupe)

So yeah, that was kinda shit, but TS Franky is really nice.

2nd Multi Climax
V1 Luffy 4* (Dupe)
TS Sanji (NEW)
LEGEND LUCCI (NEW)
Giolla 5* (Dupe)
TS Chopper 4* (NEW)
CORAZON (NEW)
Jabra 4* (NEW)
Shanks 4* (Dupe)
Urouge 4* (Dupe)
Hotori Kotori 4* (Dupe)
Trebol 4* (NEW)

Not the legends I had hoped for, but legends nonetheless. Jabra and TS Sanji were really nice as well. Closer look after:

3rd Multi Sloppy Seconds
Chakra 4* (Dupe)
Baby-5 4* (Dupe)
SW Zoro 4* (Dupe)
SW Zoro 4* (FUCK OFF DUPE)
Bellmere 4* (Dupe)
TS Chopper 4* (Dupe)
Killer 4* (NEW)
Squard 4* (Dupe)
SW Sanji 5* (Dupe)
Baroque Works Nico Robin 4* (Dupe)
X-Drake 4* (NEW)

Total letdown, nothing really useful and lots of dupes. And again, I'm missing like 75% of the RR-pool, it shouldn't be this annoying, really.
Which is also why I won't spend money on this sugo, way too many dupe of dupes in 3 multis alone. I could live without a legend for my money, but not getting even a handful of useful new RRs would make me rage. Maybe another time.

I did do another single pull for TS Franky 5*, which at least saves me a few evolvers and boosters.
Not that I wouldn't have enough anyway.
At least I'm already up to 7.100 Ray points, and the Rocket Man will be mine as soon as possible, for obvious reasons.

Let's get Corazon out of the way. I don't really have an immediate use for him, but will at least level max him with a meat. Will have to look over which forests I'll do soon, since I'm sitting at 500 cola, will use half of it for Rocket Man and may then get the Moby Dick as well. He'll also get my RCV after maxing 3D2Y Sanji.

Which leads me to Legend Lucci. My first reaction was...Meh. Yeah, ungrateful kinda, but I had all those plans for the top-tier legends and never really spend a thought for him, to be honest. Still, after looking over my box with a max skilled PSY Marco, 3D2Y Sanji, Kumadori, Squard and a few others, as well as newly acquired Jabra and TS Sanji, I actually have quite a lot of options for really awesome powerhouse teams. Thing is, none of them have skill-ups or sockets, at least not the core units. Still, teams already look nice:

RVAdq8p.png

That's going for damage. Swap in PSY Marco for the heal, or use a FC 3D2Y Sanji (or double Sanji with Lucci sub) for tankyness, or get TS Sanji and Colo Marco on the squad for speed runs. And lets not forget the amazing fishman batch in the future with all powerhouse characters.

So yeah, there's work to do, but the future looks pretty good with the units I have available to me. I still have 10 legend lucci books in my inventory, will probably wait for increased skill rate to kick in before feeding him.

Two final questions:

1. Sockets for Legend Lucci. Initially I gravitated towards B/D/H/O for obvious reasons. But with Lucci also being an awesome sub, his special producing high orb chances for bursts, his 2,5 captain ability also being good enough for mobs and the high CD of 3D2Y Sanji, I'll probably go for B/D/H/CD. Thoughts?

2. Socket books. I fed most of them in the past to Gladius and Kyros, have them halfway done. Both are nice units, especially Gladius is used often, but with Legend Lucci my focus will probably shift a bit. PSY Marco is kinda the obvious one I'll focus on next, I think. Colo Marco himself is awesome, so farming him for two characters seems rather excessive. Other than that, Lucci himself is an option as well. Drop rates on his FN are horrendous and it drops nothing else good, so maybe I save myself the headache and use books on him?
Of course, there is also Corazon, but I feel he can wait a bit.

So yeah: PSY Marco, Legend Lucci or Corazon?

ATK/HP CCs will also probably go to Legend Lucci from now on.

Maju, you're one of my favorite dudes here because you managed to clear so much stuff before you even had a legend. But if you'd been rolling multis all along, today's rage would've just been spread out across months. I speak from experience.

Just store up for the Rocket Man and whatever else they put in the shop, and enjoy the fact that Shanks is a really solid legend on his own. Kinda underrated, I think.

Pull1: Fujitora
Pull2: Dupe IntHawk
Pull3: Rocinante & Sabo
Pull4: Bartolomeo
Pull5: Doffy
Pull6: Law
Pull7: No Legend
Pull8: No Legend

I guess it was a decent day for me, I had saved since the 7/11 incident, I was gonna quit if this sugo wasn't happenening but I guess I might stay for another season. :) Hope you guys had a good time aswell.

Yeah Boa's stressful, I'm just taking the relaxing route today & farming Luffy sockets.

the smallest mistakes spiral out of control in her stage

Don't manage to get any Int orbs on stage 1 > Get PSY girls on stage 2 and can only kill 5 of them > Have to stall longer on stage 3 and take a hit > Everything has 1 turn cooldowns on stage 4 > Arrive at Boa with like 600 hp less than what I need to survive a hit > Die

I started her stage earlier today and completely forgot that on stage 1 I need to farm orbs.

Got despaired 23 turns on round 2, didn't even bother; just pressed quit.

Second round I cleared her, but got no socket or skill up and realised like ...

Y'know what, I got legend luffy & I can get his sockets right now. I'll do Boa some other time. :3

Does Breed fall under the category of things that are not coming back for a very long time (if at all) like Zephyr/Shiki? I have a single Breed from when the FN was here last but would hope it comes back for CD/Sockets.

What in the world did I use before that had me in a groove against boa. :X

I'm reasonably certain it was a team with double rayleigh, kuma, and kidd. Or a SW ace team.

My strategy is to take that hit on turn 3, so I am okay with getting only 5 on state 2. Only works if you're using max usopp though. But it makes the run less stressful.

It ususally is for me, it's just the compounding of things to go wrong.

My team is Ray/Ray/Aokiji/Kuma/Kid/GP Usopp

Stage 1: Only take one(maybe 2 if I get meat lucky) hits from lobster
Stage 2: Kid special. If they're PSY I need at least one int orb on my dudes to start the chain to kill them, otherwise I'll get despaired.
Stage 3: Usopp special. Kill the back three, damage the main one just in case. Get as many meats as I can. If I can afford a second hit, take it
Stage 4: Sunny Special(I USUALLY FORGET THIS), either kill the penguin outright or stall to have Usopp ready
Stage 5: Usopp on turn 1, Kuma and Aokiji on turn 2 to kill, anyone else I have available on turn 3 to kill again

in theory this should be fool proof, but when it goes wrong it goes WRONG

Thank's for that list, I'm saving it. Just pulled Sengoku myself. Breed is.... very under leveled for me. I had no use for him back then, so I need him to come back asap. I'll have Perona maxed when she's back next week, and the other God tiers I've got down. And basically I've got everyone else you mentioned.

Do you think it's wise/worth the boxspace to keep other units that can evolve over 20, as a second copy for sengoku teams? Just so much variety...

Lucci negates all healing. Unless his (eventual) 6+ evolution negates that, you'll want the autoheal. I run Bind/Despair/ChargeSpecial/Autoheal on mine. There's no reason to put orb boost on his since his passive is doing that for you

here you go: (quote to see)

I don't know who updated that to it's current form, but it looks so much better than before! Kudos! Updating my slot now

I need some advice on how to spend these Almighty books. The plan for the longest time was to spend them on Zephyr to get his special closer to max as he may never be coming back and I have SW Ace. However, given that I pulled Blackbeard and his books are forever away, maybe I should use them on him?

The likely reality is that I am just going to 0/9 whoever I feed them too. But I am going to pretend long enough to make the correct decision.

...I'm going to use that to motivate myself to not try to pull anymore on this Sugo.

In other news I think if I'm real lucky I can do 60 STA Boa (it really depends of course on turn 2) so I might just gem to run that. It feels real good to know I can do it though. Last time Boa was around I struggled just to do 30. So I'm feeling pretty good about how I'm progressing.
